Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

@CKBM I had never felt anything like it untill the last trimester, even went to the doctors who told me what it was. I was up all hours,
Couldn't sleep with it or anything. It's only happened twice since I gave birth and nothing like it was during pregnancy thank god. I thought the same after my chemical but the sickness started around 10-11 weeks and didn't leave untill a couple of weeks before giving birth, I loved spicy food too, however my heart burn had different ideas. Honestly in a couple of weeks you'll feel more pregnant just give it time xx

CKBM · 24/10/2022 20:54

@boymummys
hi hun. I’ve booked a 6 week scan for Wednesday. I’m taking cyclogest pessaries now as well, since Saturday. My legs are sort-of burning/tingling, radiating heat from the top of the thighs downwards. Can’t really explain it. Is sort of similar to period pain but not quite. Slight abdominal twinges. I’m worried and feeling anxious. I know I need to let go. I know I can’t control the outcome and what will be, will be, but none of that rational thinking is helping me right now

boymummys · 24/10/2022 21:03

@CKBM try not to over think it, I know it's easier said then done😩 I had these too, and I think it's all part of pregnancy, I was told " not sure if it's true" but after the first your body is already preparing straight away because it's done it before, the pain was quite painful for me and I thigh the worst, but as you know baby is here and is now 6 months old. Don't worry yourself too much, just keep thinking positive, I'm always here to chat when you need me x

CKBM · 24/10/2022 23:58

@boymummys
Thank you my dear. That sounds difficult. My legs are just burning vibrating, sort of cramping. OH massaged them for ages and no change. To top it all off I’ve got a job interview for my dream charity next Monday lol!! I’m not really getting indigestion or huge cravings like my 2 healthy pregnancies, which I find weird. Let go and let God Chet! That’s what I keep telling myself. Soooooooooooo hard!! Every day feels like a month :( Thank God the doc kept me on a low dose of anti-anxiety meds (ps not dangerous and not a benzo!) ❤️

boymummys · 25/10/2022 07:00

Oh wow, I'm sure you'll get it, I know I was offered them during my pregnancy, hope they are helping you. Just out of curiosity what were your cravings? Mine were strange, didn't get any at the start of pregnancy always came about 30 weeks. First was ready salted crisps and chocolate together, and my second was beer😳 I'm not even a drinker either, so that craving was so difficult xx

CKBM · 25/10/2022 10:51

@boymummys
hello 👋🏽
I couldn’t help but laugh at your beer craving. Bless you! Did you try non-alcoholic??
So, with Serene (my 9 year old) I craved cream eggs! I just felt nauseous like all the time. Actually, at around 3-4 weeks pregnant, I was craving pickles and I hated pickles before that. Then I craved salt beef with pickle and ate them every day for lunch at work 😳 Then, later on I craved the cream eggs and hot dogs.
With Sammy (7yo) I don’t remember very clearly. I didn’t put on as much weight so I don’t think the cravings were as strong, but I do remember feeling pregnant. I ate more healthily with him and he’s a healthy eater, whereas Serene is not (surprise surprise)!
Now, I’m really hungry but I’m not really craving anything in particular. Last night I had McDonald’s fries which I suppose was unusual 🤔 and this morning I don’t really want to eat the porridge OH made me which I usually love, but none of this is overt or obvious.
oh and with both S&S I had indigestion from early on, like even water made me nauseous.
I’m praying that it’s just different and things haven’t kicked in yet.
oh and boobs were super sore at night last night but not so much in the morning yesterday or today. Not sure what to make out of that.
oh yeah and I’m not averse to coffee / still having my half teaspoon instant in the morning.
trying to concentrate on work but it’s hard

CKBM · 25/10/2022 19:30

@boymummys
hello lovely, so got bloods from yesterday back today (yest 5w5d) and HCG levels are 5075. Not sure what that means as the range is so large! I asked for a referral to EPU and doc booked me in for an appt so saw her this aft and she gave me the results. She referred to the EPU and 5 mins later they gave me a call as they had a cancellation. I’ve got a scan booked in with them tomorrow afternoon at 2pm 😬 So nervous 😟

boymummys · 25/10/2022 20:08

@CKBM no I didn't, I didn't want to give in to that craving lol even if it was non alcoholic but it got really bad. He's six months old and I still haven't had a drink, went as soon as I gave birth, it's so strange how you crave this you never liked before isn't it. Oh that's amazing, that's great news. It's going to feel so real tomorrow for you, I'm so happy for you xx

CKBM · 26/10/2022 16:53

@boymummysguess what? Had the scan. Everything in the right place, measuring 6w4d, saw the heart beat flicker and everything seems OK for now!
now I’m anxious about the 12 week mark!! But much better - I might actually sleep tonight 🤔

CKBM · 01/11/2022 16:23

@boymummys
how are you?
hope you’re ok?
I’ve got ready salted crisps cravings now 😆 and I’ve never liked plain crisps before 🙈

boymummys · 01/11/2022 17:04

@CKBM so sorry we have been struck with the flu 😩 how are you? Honestly neither did I till my first pregnancy, and now I prefer them over other flavours now it's crazy! How has your sleep been lately? Are you feeling much better now?

CKBM · 02/11/2022 13:38

@boymummys
Oh hun - so sorry you’ve had the flu!
yeah so the scan last Wednesday was reassuring but I go through moments of not ‘feeling pregnant’ lol! I’ve been having left side twinges and the sonographer explained to me last week I ovulated from the left so there’s a corpus luteum residing there 😳 Called EPU today and the nurse said the twinges I’m feeling are down to the corpus luteum ‘which is maintaining the pregnancy until around week 12’ and then she told me not to Google anything and to call her haha!
I’ve also been invited for scan 10 November (approx 9-10 weeks) so I’m holding out for that.
Definitely sleeping better. Mood swings are a bugger. I’m not tolerant of hubby doing daft things or the kids fighting lol but that’s to be expected.
hope you’re feeling better? (Ps yes ready salted might be my forever faves now. I think u talking about it led to it manifesting itself into a craving!)

CKBM · 03/11/2022 13:13

@boymummys
freaking out a bit today - no breast tenderness :(

boymummys · 05/11/2022 15:51

@CKBM sorry again for the late reply, little one now has bronchitis, he's dealing with it amazing still the same happy smiley boy, however the chest infection I have now I'm definitely not dealing with it lol, I felt like that for a long time, pretty much untill my bump starting growing, I think it's pretty natural to feel not pregnant at the start, ohh soo only five days till you get to see baby again, in that case I don't think my mood ever went back to normal, I can't tolerate that now lol, hope your feeling a little better today xx

CKBM · 05/11/2022 16:32

@boymummys
hi hun no worries.
so actually I misdated my next NHS scan which is actually on Mon 14 Nov. However I had a private scan today. I’m confused and a bit upset I guess. On 26 Oct, I calculated myself at 5w6d, sonographer at hospital measured me at 6w4d (6.5mm). Today, 10 days later, I’m measuring 7w0d (9.6mm). By last menstrual period, I should be at least 7w2d. So here we go again on the worry train. The private sonographer was pretty insensitive too and just made me feel on edge when I walked into the room. I haven’t got the energy to go looking on all the forums but apparently a few days out is normal. I’m just confused I guess.

CKBM · 07/11/2022 21:11

@boymummys
how’s your little one’s bronchitis hun ?
if it’s bronchiolitis, please take him to A&E if not already. Both mine had it as babies and treating at home was virtually impossible!
bless you

boymummys · 07/11/2022 21:23

@CKBM sorry my notifications were turned off😩

Yes it's completely normal for them to be a couple of days out, with my first I had a scan at 7 weeks as you know due to a bleed, they told me I was 7 weeks one day, that gave me a due date with my first of 16th , but on my 12 week dating scan it changed to a due date of the 21st, that must have been more correct because that was the day he was born, I think it's a lot more clear on the 12 week scan, with my second I had a scan at 9 weeks due to another heavy bleed, they said his due date was 16th, my dating scan said the 11th. But he was born in the 19th. Thank you for checking in on him, he's absolutely fine, he's so happy and smiley and his usual self, I'm quite surprised really how well he's handled it, just a little more sleepy then normal but he's his self again today, there awful ain't they, I didn't like my private scan For the same reason, I hope your feeling a little but better, any more symtoms yet? Xx

CKBM · 07/11/2022 21:55

@boymummys
Thank you for your msg. Glad your little man is happy and making a good recovery 🙏🏽
Ah ok so your dating scan put you back by 5 days. That’s interesting and definitely helps. Those bleeds must’ve been so so scary 😦
Ok so symptoms yes? It’s weird.

  • I messaged saying no breast tenderness last Thursday and went away for a work trip - 2 hour drive - shortly after. Towards the end of that 2 hour trip, boobs started feeling tender again lol. They’ve been feeling tender and very heavy since then - sometimes more, sometimes less.
  • started feeling quite nauseous in the evenings the past few days
  • am so tired now that it’s almost unbearable. I co-facilitate a group on Monday evenings after work and have had to take myself off it for 2 months
  • Mood swings have taken off. My little angel of a boy has been playing up since we said there may be a baby and I’ve become cross a few times, which he’s not used to. colleagues also winding me up. I run a team in London and 1 of my staff can be very sassy and rude - today I lost it with her!! 😳
  • food. It’s like I’m never full lol
  • aversion to eggs, all meat aside from chicken. Can’t stand the smell of pasta cooking or putting in diesel at the station 🤢
  • a bit of indigestion
  • metallic taste in the mouth
  • weird one - feeling v cold still and sometimes getting chills but doc said blood pressure is OK and has ordered tests.

spoke to doc today, explained the scan discrepancies and she just said ‘look, even if you get another scan now, are you just gonna be worried anyway throughout pregnancy?!’ Lol 😂 these doctors - can’t get anything past them. Anyway she re-referred to EPU. I’m never having a private scan again!!!

boymummys · 08/11/2022 08:35

Thank you, yes with the first not so much, but with my second I got out the bath, my partner came in and his face dropped, there was blood everywhere! I didn't realise because I had got out the bath, I got rushed straight in, but everything was fine? They couldn't understand what it was and why it was so bad? Obviously baby was completely healthy so it was very strange.

So your getting a lot of symptoms now wooo, My mood swinges never recovered lol, oh my boy was the same, he seems to be very good some times, and now baby is here he's playing up alot! We do weekends with him, take him out for the day something he wants to do but still playing up: no idea what I can do with him now, we fully include him in everything too.

I'm glad to know your ok now, but no I wouldn't either. Private scans are not worth it at all, I regretted mine the minute I came out. Just made me feel worse if anything

CKBM · 08/11/2022 11:58

@boymummys
ah yes we had the same with our daughter when her little brother came along 2 years after her. We got her a big doll’s house from him and told her how much he loved her etc. It’s normal for them to feel jealous. The thing that worked best was us having one-on-one time with her - daddy would take her to the park, I would paint her nails and take her to the hairdresser or for a babycino and some cake. It’s obvs never gonna be the same for them again because they had you all to themselves, but just wait until they both play together and show one another affection.
It’s the best feeling!

still waiting for EPU to contact me. Feeling so nauseous today - have ended up working from my bed which is something I NEVER do!!

gemini2188 · 10/11/2022 14:55

I had this early detection result yesterday evening but today I’m testing negative on a digital. Would you say this is a positive or evap line?

2 lines on first response but negative digital
CKBM · 10/11/2022 20:44

@gemini2188
i very much understand the apprehension. How late are you for AF?
the best advice I was given was wait 2 days and take another test

boymummys · 05/12/2022 07:50

@CKBM

I'm so sorry I've only just remembered my password for this app.
How are you, how is baby? Xx

CKBM · 05/12/2022 08:23

@boymummys
bless you, no worries. I’m 12 weeks in a couple of days. Had my last scan at 10 weeks 🤭 all good but I’m desperate for another one! Next NHS one booked for 12 Dec 🤷🏽‍♀️ Got the NIPT test done and everything was fine thankfully 🙏🏽 I often think of you and your kind words and support in my time of real difficulty. I’m still anxious but less so ❤️❤️

boymummys · 05/12/2022 11:12

@CKBM oh I'm so pleased for you 🥰 it doesn't get easier does it till we're holding out babies. How are you symptoms now? Oh I'm soooo happy for you ♥️♥️
