2 lines on first response but negative digital

Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

I've been trawling the internet to see if anyone else had the same experience with Clearblue! I was confused as I've had two very faint tests at what I think is 13dpo and 15dpo with an early indicator test, and then I took a digital test which said not pregnant (15dpo). The digital pregnancy tests claim to detect low levels of HCG so I just assumed they'd pick up the same result. My period is due sometime this week, maybe tomorrow (irregular periods), so I think I'll wait until Friday to test again.

so, i have gotten positive blue tests and negative pink tests, i am waiting on my bloods to come back however im stressing as i am unsure if i am pregnant or not, i really would like to be, has this happened to anyone else?? (pink possible line is evap im pretty sure)

I have had two what I thought was positive tests as I was two days late on my period. I know have cramping and have come on my period (I think) I have done a clear blue digital and it has come back as not pregnant. Am I going insane?

@Laura1904 Sometimes, the digital tests require more hCG in your urine than the non-digital ones to show a positive result, so it could be that you need to wait another week or so. But you said your period has come, so if it is like a regular period, it may be that you're not pregnant, I'm afraid. If it's a bit of spotting, that may be blood from implantation.

I had a positive test last month, a week before my period. I'd had a few early pregnancy symptoms, too, but then I had a negative test on the week of my period, and then my period came a few days later. I called the doctors, as I felt like I'd imagined the whole thing, and they were very reassuring; however, confirmed it was likely to have been a chemical pregnancy.

I know it's tough, but the one thing I took away from last month was not to drive myself crazy by doing lots of tests - call your doctor and discuss it with them. If they're anything like mine, they'll be happy to chat things through.

Hey guys, been trying to conceive since 4th Nov did 8 line tests 28th and 29th came back with faint pink line. I carried out a digital test not long ago said not pregnant but I even went to doctors and they said yes I am pregnant but they didn’t see my tests or anything. My last period started on 27th October and was finished on 30th and I have sore boobs and cramps for the past 3 days but I don’t feel like I am gonna have a period what do you guys think? Doctors said I am 1 week pregnant probably.

Get a clear blue 1 or 1st response

I have tried the clear blue rapid response but I didn’t do it first thing in the morning so I guess it could’ve been more accurate then but it still had a blue faint line although less predominant as the other line tests as they were more clear.

@AlbieBrz mine was a chemical pregnancy also back in October 😔

After having a chemical pregnancy back in October. I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday as my nipples where really sore and I was suffering with fatigue. I have done 3 test, two are strong that I have taken in the evening (top two) I have then taken the bottom this morning and it’s so much lighter. Has anyone had this before or is this another chemical pregnancy?

Hello everyone just looking for a bit of advice, is this a evaporation line or is it positive? The photo doesnt show it as well but it was a blue line just faint, I did two others and they said negative but meant to be due on my pierod tomorrow?

I didn't experience tests getting lighter, they just didn't get darker, and then I got a negative, followed by my period a few days later. How did you get on? Hope all is okay x

Hi @S097xx That looks like a faint line to me and is quite clear :) I was pregnant at the beginning of 2023 and that's what my first test looked like! Did the line appear within 10 minutes of taking the test?

I could see it with my own eyes but it was alot fainter than this and thought i was going crazy for a second😂 then it got darker as time went by? But did two more after and it said negative so unsure if it was a false or if im very early, will test agian soon! Thankyou for your response :) x

@AlbieBrz Mine didn’t go darker but then just slowly started to disappear. Thought it was happening again but did a digital this time and said 1-2 weeks and this is the test I did this morning and defo looks darker than any I have ever done so fingers crossed!

That's so exciting! Congratulations, @Laura1904 !! A digital is a sure way of knowing that you're pregnant!

I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks last February, then took a bit of a break and we've been trying since July with the chemical pregnancy at the end of September! Keeping the faith that it will happen again for us when the time is right 🙂

Hi all, I’m having a similar situation as previous posts. I’m 16 DPO per the Flo app. My period was expected for this past week and I missed it. I’ve tested twice now with a non-digital and got a faint line on both and then took a digital today that states negative. I’ve never been in this situation before and don’t know if my eyes are deceiving me 😊

I'm trying to conceive and I got a cross on the analog stick and a not pregnant on the digital?! Any suggestions? Am I pregnant?
