Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

Digital tests are a lot less sensitive. My first response looked like that at 9dpo and my LO is currently 4 months old Grin Congratulations Flowers

badg3r · 29/08/2017 11:07

It looks positive to me Smile

Sarah2394 · 29/08/2017 11:14

Thank you 😊 I don't know if it's just me but I feel like I need to see the word yes or no for it to feel real haha.

That definitely positive!

Triskaidekaphilia · 29/08/2017 11:35

I think the first response is right, and it's just a little too early for the digital. Congratulations!

demirose87 · 29/08/2017 11:51

Do another frer and see if the lines got any darker but I'd say that looks like an early positive.

demirose87 · 29/08/2017 11:52

Should add, try and wait til tomorrow as HCG is meant to double every 48 hours.

SheSaidHeSaid · 29/08/2017 12:09

They do look positive to me and I agree with the others who've said it may be a little early for a digital.

Tentative congratulations

Lenl · 29/08/2017 12:15

Frer is far more sensitive. I'm sure I've read somewhere it's something ridiculous like 6.5mIU/ml where a digi is often more like 20mIU/ml

If it came up in the time then congrats!! Usually the lines are harder to see on a photo than in real life too, and those pics look really clear.

ruthieruthuk · 29/08/2017 12:26

That's defo a positive! Congratulations!

Expectingbsbunumber2 · 29/08/2017 19:16

That's Devin positive! Congratulations

AndBabyMakes5 · 01/09/2017 22:39

I've had the same! I'm 10dpo, had faint lines yesterday and today on FRER and Clearblue but negative digital. It'll just be too early, but it's frustrating waiting isn't it! When are you testing again? I'm using my last FRER tomorrow and then the other digital Sunday is it's darker!

AndBabyMakes5 · 01/09/2017 22:39

Here's my FRERs by the way, 9dpo and 10dpo

Hi guys I did a pregnancy test and it shows. Very faint positive line.. but then did a clear blue digital test.. that says “not pregnant” ?

ChealseyHeck · 28/08/2018 15:43

Yesterday morning I used a non digital pregnancy test and got a positive!

I thought if I used a Clearblue digital this morning it would tell me how far along I am, however it said Not pregnant...

Could the Clearblue be wrong?

Stephisaur · 28/08/2018 15:51

@ChealseyHeck Clearblue digital are less sensitive than the "early detection" tests on the market (eg. FRER)

If your positive is only faint on the non-digital, then you will only be 3-4 weeks pregnant (4 weeks would be roughly the day your period was due). Clearblue detects from conception, so would say 1-2 weeks around the time you expect your period, but it's not an exact science.

Wait a few days (HCG doubles every 48h) and then try again.

I’ve taken 7 pregnancy tests and there’s faint lines on everyone of them a lot of people have seen them and say there positive but I’m 5 days away from my period but just feel like my body is different I’ve been for a blood test a couple of days ago and they said it came up negative and when I do a clear blue digital it says I’m not pregnant, sorry to be gross but I’m getting lots of white creamy discharge and light cramping

melsyck2018 · 17/10/2019 02:46

Hi,
I had taken a First Response HPT on Tuesday night 7DPO and had a faint positive result. I then took another First Response HPT Wednesday morning 8DPO and had another faint positive result. This morning i have now taken another First Response HPT 9DPO and received a negative (i couldnt see a faint line) so I took another First Response Digital test and was a negative as well (prob wasn't going to be any different in results taking it half an hour after the first one but i was just being impatient)
Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm still 6 days away from my period but i guess i just wonder if it can be positive again at all after a negative?
Thanks so much :)

Ximena2018 · 20/12/2019 04:13

I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and got a very faint positive, I got so happy and yet nervous. But i took another one today (digital clear blue) and it said negative what do you guys think.

Michette · 20/12/2019 09:40

I would use a frer with FMU and try tomorrow morning. Xmas Wink

Ximena2018 · 20/12/2019 17:36

@Michette i will try to take another one tomorrow just to make sure thanks.

7Han7 · 02/08/2020 15:58
