2 lines on first response but negative digital

Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

OK I just decided. I know I’m gonna question the lines on the FRER tests, whether they’re dark enough, and it’s probably too early to take another CB digital so soon after the 1-2 weeks came up on Monday, so rather than putting myself through all of that, I’m gonna chill.
The support means a lot because I can’t otherwise talk about it 😞

@CKBM I'm always a message away if you want to talk, it's so stressful at first, but stop putting yourself threw it, just take the positive and run with it. You seen my tests when I got the 1-2 weeks they were really faint, after that I didn't take anymore, just knew if it came up on a digital then it must have been correct, I've done those haha, also had a curry and all sorts but baby won't budge! Only 12 days left till due date and I'm hoping he doesn't make me wait till then. I've now got sciatica, had it a couple of weeks never felt pain like it, and to top it of my ankle have swollen lol x

Thanks hun. Yeah I’ve decided I’ll just drive myself mad so I’ll see how things go and just keep myself mentally and physically well.

Oh hun that little man is way too comfortable in his little womb home ☺️ I know all too well the difficulties of the last few weeks and I know this will sound mad (and you’ll say he careful what you wish for!) but I welcome it all again 😂 😂 It is ever so difficult when we’re in it though. I had sciatica for years and I medicated heavily for it. To think you can’t do that, oh hun!

I must say, acupuncture in late pregnancy worked wonders for me. With The really good acupuncturists, you can’t feel the needles at all, and it’s very safe in pregnancy. If you’re not keen on that, then a pregnancy massage and a hot lavender bath maybe?

Praying little man gets a safe delivery and you get some relief and are holding him super soon!

I’m sad to say that this LO was not meant to be. I didn’t have any cramps or the usual PMS signs but started bleeding this morning 😞 😔 I’m so sad, I’ve been up since I saw blood when I wiped around 4am 😢 Right now, I just feel really really sad. When it happened last month, I went to work and tried to power through but today I’ve called in sick.

@CKBM I'm so so so sorry to hear that! I really do suggest you go to the doctors. Not to try make light of a bad situation or get your hopes up, I had a bleed at four weeks, and again at 9 weeks with this pregnancy. The bleed at nine weeks was awful and I thought I was loosing the baby! You had a 1-2 weeks on digital so must have a fair amount of hgc in your system, please go the docs and find out what's going on x

Hoping it would be a slight bleed but this is like a period bleed 😔 I sent the docs a message and they asked to see me this morning. I have no energy. DH and I have taken the day off together and we’re going through an array of mixed emotions. After we cried together I could barely get off the sofa so asked docs if I could speak to them on the phone rather than go in. I’ll update you on what happens.
Thank you for trying to provide some reassurance though. I’m grateful ❤️

Thank you. I had a much more supportive doctor call me today who told me to take a few days and then we’ll discuss my options about getting checked out. Managed a couple of hours’ sleep when hubby put his arm around me. A friend picked up the kids. Sending hugs your way, always. You’ve been a really supportive ally in all this.

Just to let you know it’s a full on bleed. Doctor thinks egg quality needs to be checked then I can make the decision whether to continue trying. What a weird day with all the weather changes very much synonymous with my moods! If you want to email me my address is [email protected]. @CKBM so sorry, I've been so busy sorting everything out, yes still no baby with 9 days to go 😩😩 I'm so glad, keep trying but hopefully the docs can give you some answers,and be more reassuring then me, hope your well, let me know how you get on, on Monday with the docs x

If anybody sees this, I took a test in December which was positive, then went for bloods that were negative or inconclusive so they said I wasn’t pregnant. Since then I have taken a good few, since february and they didn’t show anything until taking one last week as I was later than I thought I should be. It had a fairly visible line but then about 5 mins after my cycle started. I have had a lot of symptoms for a while but not sure what to do. I understand that being off the contraceptive pill since end of November will allow my cycles to be irregular but not sure as feeling different. Any advice?

So sorry you’ve also been going through this. I’ve found it to be such a painful and humbling experience. I’ve had 2 ‘chemical pregnancies’ in the last 10 weeks - pregnancy symptoms, positive tests (including digital tests) followed by bleeding a few days later. I’m 40 and have 2 kids so I’ve begun to understand that for me it’s most likely to do with egg quality so I’m going to get checked out. I’d say go to the doctor and see if you can do the same. Hey guys I’m only 20 and kinda new to this and idk if this is a positive test or the line thag happened when it dries up . But I looked at the test after 3 and maybe no line it faint line then after 10 it was a thin line started appearing and the stick is still wet so I don’t think it’s dried up or anything idk need ur opinion on this .

Hey, I don’t know if anybody can help but period was due last Friday, had faint positives all weekend then on Monday I took a clear blue how many weeks and a asda home brand, both positive 1-2 weeks, then I stupidly took a test yesterday and all digitalis are coming back not pregnant but line tests are coming back as faint positives😔 I just don’t know what to do? Rang the doctors yesterday and they wouldn’t help said to ring back next day at 8am to try and get an appointment. I have sore boobs, fatigue and some stomach cramps, no bleeding this would be my first pregnancy and now i’m petrified that somethings gone wrong x

Could be different tests and different times of day that you're testing, and therefore varying HCG levels?

Or it could unfortunately just be a chemical pregnancy.

Thank you for replying, I have been testing at different times but the digital how many weeks on Monday was done about 11:30am whilst I was at work, I did a digital this morning when I woke up and it said not pregnant but then line tests are coming back faint positive, my doctors won’t see me but will give me a phone call later today. My friend who’s pregnant said her mum tested negative with her the day after a positive and says until I bleed or attend my 9 week appointment on 10th June just assume you’re pregnant, the ones I did prior to yesterday was all pink/red line ones whereas the ones from yesterday are the blue line ones and I know people say they are notorious for being rubbish. I’m so petrified of telling my partner somethings not worked out as we’ve been trying 10 months, I have short cycles of 25 days so my suspected ovulation isn’t far after my period, also this time I had covid on my fertile week so I actually didn’t expect to get a positive x

@Chanmoore yes unfortunately it's kind of a waiting game at the moment. Either your period starts and you know that it was a chemical pregnancy, or you wait a couple of days and do another test, the best ones are First Response Early Results (FRER). If you are pregnant then that test should give you a decent line, if you can wait til Saturday then do one then!
