Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

Hi there,
I recently done 2 pregnancy tests. The stick one came out positive but the digital is negative? I was wondering what could cause this confusion?

CKBM · 23/03/2022 19:03

Hey Chelsea, can’t believe I’ve found a recent post! What was your outcome PLEASE? I’ve just had 2 VERY faint lines on internet cheapies (Femometer) but got a ‘not pregnant’ on Clearblue digital today at 10DPO. I need help!! :(

boymummys · 23/03/2022 20:00

This happened to me. I got 3 negative digitalis on three days. After having positives all week on stick tests. I then left if 4 days I stopped testing and then took another test on the weekend. It came back pregnant 1-2 weeks. I'm now 37+3 weeks pregnant with the baby. Digital tests are less sensitive then normal tests so take longer to show up.

CKBM · 23/03/2022 20:32

Hi! Omg thanks so much for posting and congratulations 🥳 . Do you mind if I ask how many DPO you were (and how many days before expected AF) when you got the 1-2 weeks? I’ve got 2 scrumptious monkeys (6 and 8) and aged 39 we decided to give it another go after 6 years of non-hormonal coil. That was a year ago, we didn’t try hard and I was still smoking until October. Anyway gave it a proper go last month before I hit 40 and had a chemical pregnancy. Had lots of positives on FRER within time frame at but negative clear blue - all 2 days before AF due, then lines getting lighter in following days and bled 5 days late. I guess I am scared of this happening again :(

boymummys · 23/03/2022 20:49

I'm so sorry for your loss, that happened to me two months before I got pregnant again, I tested before my period was due when I got my positive but didn't come up on the digital untill 2 days after missed period, but then again they have been all over the place since the chemical pregnancy and even before that due to cysts on my ovaries, honestly best thing I did was stop testing. And just wait a couple of days, congratulations to you all

CKBM · 23/03/2022 21:13

Thank you and sorry you went through the same thing. What a rollercoaster of emotions, but you’ve given me some hope and also the courage to wait. Thank you 🙏🏽

Hiya, I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advice. I took a normal clear blue test yesterday and it came up with an extremely faint line, one end being dark than the other. I took another test and it was negative as well as a negative digital. My period isn’t due for another 6 days so I was wondering if it would be an evap line or just a extremely faint positive? I’m not sure how I upload a photo

CKBM · 25/03/2022 15:35

Hi Em,
I think you and I are on a similar journey at the moment. I’ve had VERY faint lines on a few internet cheapies (and also a ‘not pregnant’ on a clear blue digital at 10dpo 2 days ago) and my period is also due on 30 March. I had a chemical last month but I’m inclined to say that you and I are testing very early.
How about we promise to keep each other updated on our journeys over the next few days?
I’ve avowed not to take the other CB digital until the day of my missed period.
I’d also say that if you’re getting faint lines within the time frame then you’re most likely pregnant and it documents your ability to get pregnant.
Sending baby dust your way.
Chet xx

@CKBM @Em2311

Mine were very faint! I actually thought they were Evap lines but they came up in the time frame. 1st photo. After the first photo I took a digital and it came back negative.

2nd photo four days later, still very faint but a thicker line and 1-2 on digital.

Don't keep testing, just take it day by day and test again after missed period. You'll get a better response

CKBM · 25/03/2022 18:55

Thank you so much 🙏🏽

CKBM · 25/03/2022 18:57

@boymummys - what were your symptoms around the 12dpo time, if you remember?
@Em2311 - what sort of symptoms are you getting?

boymummys · 25/03/2022 19:10

@CKBM

I had some aches, felt like period pains, very strange one was acne, I never suffer with spots but I had some under the skin spots,
Not sure if related, but they haven't gone and continued the whole pregnancy. Also did with my first but went pretty much after I gave birth. Also my body temp went threw the roof, also a very strange one I had read somewhere to check your pulse. It rises by 10-20 beats per minute. I check this before I got my positive on a digital. It had raised but wasn't sure if this was accurate information. Worked for me though, have you had any symptoms?

CKBM · 25/03/2022 19:29

@boymummys
Thank you for that. My main symptoms have been fatigue for the last week. I never fall asleep in the evening and I’ve fallen asleep around 6pm for an hour or two. Also, my boobs have been hurting since 10 days before AF due which is v unusual for me. Some weird taste and had nausea 1-2 days but not a lot and no indigestion yet. I had frequent urination 1-10 DPO. Also had spots and today have had a some dull period-like cramps. Some cravings but that could just be because of AF being due

Em2311 · 25/03/2022 19:35

I've just started having some cramps, similar to period cramps but no period. Sore breasts and nausea. Im due on my period on the 1st April so I will find out if it is just me PMsing or not! :) xx

boymummys · 25/03/2022 20:19

I was also very tired, but I put that down to working 14 hour shifts 4 days a week, but then again I was doing this before and didn't seem to have a problem. I was falling asleep on my dinner break 😂 my nausea didn't kick in till week six I was quite surprised

CKBM · 25/03/2022 20:31

Just took an FRER with last evening’s urine (stupidly) shortly after I’d already been to the loo. Can’t really see anything on it - maybe a slight shadow, but all of the Femometer internet ones I’ve taken have faint lines. This business is so damned confusing and annoying 😢 I will have to use FMU tmrw. I’m due on AF 30/31 March

Em2311 · 25/03/2022 22:08

I have my fingers crossed for you! :) xx

CKBM · 25/03/2022 22:27

Thanks Em - you too hun. Wishing you all the best, will update tomorrow ❤️

Unknown2121 · 26/03/2022 00:34

Hey just wondering if this test seems positive to you? Or is it an evap? Does anyone know
Tia much love x

That looks clearly positive to me! Did you read it within the time frame?

CKBM · 26/03/2022 09:18

Hi all, today’s update. FRER returned a faint positive 4-5 days before AF due. Attached. I’m worried it’s another chemical after the chemical I had last month, but am praying It’ll take 🙏🏽

CKBM · 26/03/2022 09:19

Attached this time

boymummys · 26/03/2022 09:37

@CKBM I got mine confirmed from doctor after my chemical and they did blood tests? Is there any way your docs would do the same for you? They both look positive to me, like I said in my second picture mine was still so faint but came with with 1-2 on digital the day of my missed period, good luck to you both

CKBM · 26/03/2022 10:05

@boymummys
Thank you. Yeah I had day 21 blood tests this month at around 6/7DPO (last month was the chemical). All bloods were normal, doc said progesterone was nice and high so my body had definitely ovulated, but if I have the same thing this month, I’ll ask for further examination, I think. I’ve also just turned 40. I had my 2 kids at 31 and 33 so maybe it’s an age thing. Hubby wasn’t up for going for a third until I turned 39…Thank you for your support 🙏🏽
