2 lines on first response but negative digital

Yesterday at what I believe was 9dpo I took a first response that came out positive. The test line isn't as dark as the control line but you don't need to squint to see it. It's very clear. I took a digital this morning at 10dpo and it came out negative. The digital test is just a supermarket home brand test. It's beginning to make me question the line I got. Is it even a positive or just an evap line. I took a picture of it and it looks faint. I went to work and when I came back it looks darker. Could it be that I'm just to early? I want to know as soon as possible as my job requires heavy lifting and I don't want to harm anything. What do you think?

I got less than 3 hours’ sleep worrying last night. I had pink spotting last night and a tad this morning (3-4 days before AF due) which has never happened before. Took a Femometer cheapie this morning - still a v faint line but a tad darker than the last one. Will have to wait to do an FRER. Still not using the CB digital. I think maybe I ovulated after I thought I did or fertilisation happened late in the window. God only knows. App says 14dpo. Any support or advice would be appreciated right now. I can’t afford to have such little sleep xx

@CKBM so sorry to hear your not sleeping and worrying, it's such a stressful time isn't it 😔 the best thing I can say right now is to contact the doctors tomorrow explain you have previously had chemical pregnancy's and have got a positive now, and see if they will do blood tests just to put your mind at ease

Thank you for your thoughtful message. I spoke to my doctor on Thursday and she banned me from taking any tests until after my period is due!! She actually said ‘otherwise we might have a similar situation as before.’ She’s normally quite a good GP but I wonder if she’s not that experienced with chemical pregnancies. A blood test might be just as inconclusive so maybe I need to be patient and next time I won’t do a test at 5am thinking that I won’t have concentrated urine later in the day!!

@CKBM that is exactly what I was like! I was taking tests before I went to bed knowing full well it won't show up anything! It's just a hard wait! I'm glad I held out till my period,
I seemed to forget apart from the odd thought that I may be pregnant, if I took a test in the morning and it didn't go any darker it seemed to ruin my day, so just held out and got a strong one! Do the same please don't stress yourself out worrying

Tested positive Friday for pregnancy. Tested faint positive Sunday morning and this morning I used a digital test which said Not Pregnant, I'm so dissapoin @ted. I have an 8 month old and breastfeeding so the positive came as a surprise but so exciting. Has this happened to anyone before? I'm booked in for Beta serum HCG bloods tomorrow with the Dr.

I knew I wouldn’t wait. So I took FRER today with a teeny bit of urine (shortly after I’d already been to the loo 🙄) and the line was lighter than yesterday. Yesterday’s FMU FRER line was the same as Saturday’s. I had spotting (implantation spotting?) Saturday night so maybe I ovulated later than I thought. Anyhow, I called the doctor in a panic and was booked in this evening so I took the CB Digital beforehand. It said 1-2 weeks pregnant. Femometer App said I ovulated 13th March (OPK showed highest peak in early hours of 13 March?) but I reckon I must’ve ovulated or fertilisation actually happened 14/15 March. Last BD was 14 March. Went to the doc and asked for blood tests and scans of reproductive organs - she said to wait 1-2 weeks to see what happens.
Ps a month ago, I didn’t know any of these acronyms 😂 (I’m 40 with old eggs!)
I’m praying this sticks 🙏🏽 praying for all of us ❤️‍🩹

@CKBM yayyyyyyy!!! Over the moon for you. Told you just takes a couple of days to show up, I think that's what happened with my after the chemical, wasn't even sure when period was due but went off my last one two months before x

Honest absolutely awful haha, I loved my first pregnancy but this one has been really difficult. Only 13 days till due date, no midwife was trying to get me to have an elective or induction but I've refused, she wanted it on the grounds that her growth charts are of the lines, had growth scan yesterday and he's measuring 6.15lbs. So not huge at all, thank you so much! Been lovely talking to you, keep me updated and don't forget to let me know when your holding your baby ♥️♥️

Your message made me feel weak at the knees at the end there! The mad woman that I am, I took a Femometer internet cheapie this morning with FMU but nothing came up. I then read that they’re rubbish so I’m gonna chuck them away and just wait. AF not due until tmrw/Thurs so we’ll see.
Sorry you’re going through it atm hun but soon enough you’ll have your beautiful LO in your arms ☺️ You showed that midwife who’s boss!! Please, if you remember, post photos or a message when you’re cuddling up with baby.

OK took 2 more cheapies and barely anything on them. Don’t know why I do this to myself, honestly. Doc said wait a week - don’t know why I can’t just be patient!! I’m gonna get the hubby to throw these cheapie Femometer ones away. Have ordered some FRERs

@CKBM oh no, honestly just take there advice and don't take anymore, if in the future I ever try for more, I'll do one test on day of period and no more the stress is caused is so awful 😩😩😩 hope your doing okay x

Thanks for checking in. Trying to take it easy today, trying not to obsess. Have removed Femometer tests from toilet and have ordered FRERs which I’ll take with FMU over next few days. AF due tomorrow or Thursday. This is so so difficult. Sending hugs and healing vibes your way xx

I need some help !! I got off birth control a few months ago, and my cycle came back super regular, and I use an app to track my cycle. I am currently 3 days late. I took 2 first response tests both of which i think i see a faint positive line. i then took a first response digital and got a negative. now i’m super confused. i’ve never been pregnant so this is all new ! I need more sets of eyes to see if there is a line or not !!

Aww sounds difficult for you too. I’ve only ever had the non hormonal coil, but I’m guessing that it can take time for the hormones to start making sense again. I’m going to advise what I’ve been advised by the other lovely ladies on this chat - wait a few days and then check again. If you have a nice doctor, you can request blood tests. @CKBM it is so difficult, I understand fully where your coming from! We was trying for over a year before I got pregnant! I ended up giving up tracking and testing. Just thought I couldn't be bothered being hurt every-time it came back negative. Then the one month it came back positive it ended with a chemical😩 decided to stop bothering again and just have the mindframe "whatever will be will be" ended up pregnant again the next month.
I'm not saying don't keep trying, hoping and praying, just saying keep yourself busy, for me a less stressful mind ended up working 🙌🏽 I'm honestly praying for you to get your baby, and you will.

@ajohnson11 The problem is you could have ovulated late, it can still happen, Personally I would take the ones you have as a positive and get in contact with the doctors to confirm. After I got a positive I called them straight away, explained my situation and they asked me to come in for bloods.

Thank you 🙏🏽 Will throw myself into work and kids the next few days. Have removed the fem from toilet and gave FRERs to OH as soon as they arrived today. Will not be testing tmrw. Will test Thursday/Friday if no AF ❤️ Will also pray. Not religious but I often forget I’m not walking alone 🤗

I’ve been good since yesterday - no tests. AF due today or tomorrow.
Some symptom changes - breasts are a bit sore but not feeling nauseous. Just a bit of a headache, croaky throat and extreme fatigue. I would essentially be 4w2d today so I don’t know if I’m still on the early side. Some strange taste in the mouth and aversion to meat and eggs but nothing glaring. Trying to focus on work but thought I’d just drop u a message and a heart ❤️ Hope you & bump are better today 🙏🏽

Yayyy I'm proud of you! Pretty much the same symtoms I had, the taste in my mouth was the worst 😩 I didn't get any sickness till 7 weeks, just keep going🙌🏽🤞🏽 were fine today, still no baby yet, had a hot curry last night to get things moving but nothing as of yet ♥️♥️

Haha thanks! I’m actually thinking that there’s no point in testing at all. If AF doesn’t come within a week, I’ll contact the doctor. Well, that’s what I say and then I think ‘but don’t you want to know Chet?!’ Agghh it’s all such a headf**ck!
Aww glad to know you’re better today. You know the other 2 things: long walk (if you can bear it!) and that other thing 😃
