@blueobsessive I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it is just a wee bleed and nothing else. This little baba is keeping you on your toes isn't it

Summerblush1982 · 20/08/2017 20:36

@blueobsessive I'm so sorry to read what you're going through. Stay strong and plenty of rest. Flowers

blueobsessive · 20/08/2017 20:40

Thank you guys. This thread has been a lifesaver.

YorkieDorkie · 20/08/2017 20:53

Glad I found you! Joining #2

SJP3 · 20/08/2017 22:36

I'd love to join! I'm 19 weeks and counting down to the 20 week scan... Hoping all with be well but not convinced I've felt any movements yet. First pregnancy and it's been a bit of a long road to get here... Hope you ladies are all feeling well!

SS81C · 21/08/2017 06:08

Sending lots of love @blueobsessive. Sounds like you're having a shitty time. Glad your DH is making sure you can rest.

Mimilicious013 · 21/08/2017 08:23

Hugs @blue. Take care of yourself and rest up as much as you can Flowers

FairfaxAikman · 21/08/2017 14:24

Maybe TMI, but has anyone else been left with really bad cramps after orgasming?
Thought I was going to be sick!

mummyGof2boys · 21/08/2017 14:26

@FairfaxAikman everything is so sensitive done there so it's very common to get cramps after sex. Just keep an eye on it

CL1982 · 21/08/2017 15:02

I'm pretty crampy today full stop which as usual i do not like. Poor DH hasn't had much sex as i didn't really want to and now i have thrush!!! Ironic given the past 18 months of TTC....

Also....this is TMI...had a weird gush of fluid this morning. Wasn't big but almost like i'd slightly wet myself although i hadn't. I suspect it was just weird and wonderful discharge but alongside the cramping i'm not a fan.....

Welcome a@sjp3 :)

@CL1982 if the fluid didn't smell then it's probably just discharge. Amniotic fluid has a very distinctive smell. A bit like sperm bleugh

UnnaturalMumma · 21/08/2017 16:10

Im 6 weeks with baby number two. Cant stop throwing up and sleeping - two year old trying to kill me! Is second pregnancy usually worse???

CL1982 · 21/08/2017 16:23

Thanks @mummgofboys That is helpful. I think it was indeed just discharge. All seems well now.

Am i supposed to book into a midwife app for 16 weeks by the way does anyone know? And also am i meant to be going by the dd they have now given me or my old one?! Argh.

@blueobsessive how are you today?

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 21/08/2017 16:57

@CL1982 the new date and yes you need to book in for 16 week appointment. They won't send you one. The cramping gone?

Iv had an emotional day. My eldest started primary school today and my youngest starts pre school tomorrow eeeek.

@blueobsessive Any news?

CL1982 · 21/08/2017 17:13

No, it's there but very light. It could be wind to be honest. I woke up with horrible digestive pains in the night which went after i got up and walked around. I just wish i knew what is normal or not!

mummyGof2boys · 21/08/2017 17:49

You will get weird symptoms all the way through pregnancy. Odd niggles here and there. I normally try and only worry if there is blood with the pain. Once you can feel baby kicking it becomes a little easier to gauge how things are by the count the kicks

blueobsessive · 21/08/2017 17:59

Hi All. I'm keeping it together today, thank you for asking after me. I've been taking it nice and easy at my desk. I came in late and I've decided to do a short day (- at least there are some perks to being self employed). DH is doing dinner too, which is a help.

@CL1982 if it felt like discharge, that's probably what it is. I seem to remember the discharge changes quite a bit at this stage - and also thrush plus pessaries don't keep everything the same. It's also difficult to tell what's guts and what's baby. If you have a big massive gush of discharge (e.g. A padful) that needs checking out. Hope you get through ok to book in your next appointment.

And don't feel bad about sex: unsurprisingly we've not risked it. Advice is that for normal pregnancies it should be fine if you feel like it. However I'm currently trying (pretty unsuccessfully I'll admit) to keep out of the hospital.

I have found the tommys.org website information pretty useful this weekend. It's calm and evidence based.

Hope you are all doing ok.

blueobsessive · 21/08/2017 18:03

I second @mummyGof2boys description of amniotic fluid. I worried I'd not recognise it - but i did.

mummyGof2boys · 21/08/2017 19:09

Eeeek quickening has started. It feels like vibrating or butterflies in my tummy. So exciting ❤️❤️

Argh. @mummyGof2boys that is so exciting! How many weeks are you again? I can't wait for it!!

Sorry. Mumsnet went mental 😂

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 21/08/2017 20:35

@CL1982 I'm only 13+3. Maybe because it's my third. I felt my first move properly by 15 weeks though. It's super exciting. It's only if I lay really still on my back
