Wow this thread has got off to a rip roaring start!
@cl1982 congrats on the scan. Baby looks as though they have really strong legs. You'll be feeling them before long!
@FairfaxAikman heart rate should go up a bit at the start anyhow (you are making lots of new blood and working hard to create a person).
@kerryleanne1982 yup, another one with sore norkage here too. In fact they were so painful yesterday that, having finished work a little earlier than usual I thought I'd pop to Oxford Circus to pick up some vests with nork support to wear at night to keep them in check.
What a mistake. It turns out that "popping" to Oxford Street isn't really possible (what was I thinking!! I've lived here for years, I should know that). Also, although my commute has been mercifully quieter during the holidays it turns out that every teenager in London seemed to be on Oxford Street so it was totally rammed. Also the H&M at Oxford Circus isn't designated as their Oxford Street store so didn't have maternity wear. Cue long hot fight through crowds to get to the correct store, which luckily had a very patient security guard who seemed very used to directing hot flustered pregnant people to the right section (behind homeware - who'd have thought). Then it was hell on earth inside (re teenagers). And, despite it having been a cool and rainy day first thing (hence raincoat on top of court suit) it was boiling.
However, I took one for the team, so hopefully might have saved you from a similar visit to the eye of the storm. H&M does do bra support vests and maternity bras but they aren't as cheap as all that. The maternity jeans they have come up really tiny and skinny.
However, uniqlo (next door)

- they have loads of long t shirts which would cover a bump.
So, with luck I never have to do any more maternity shopping in person again.
Next scans for baby drama llama are next Wed (prem clinic) and the Tuesday after (the nuchal scan). Excited and nervous.
Now for MIL visit for her birthday this weekend, what could possibly go wrong?
