@Mimilicious013 hey Mimi, were you in the other trying to conceive threads?? Recognise your name somewhat??

@CL1982 I'm going to order that book via Amazon today. Is it good??

I'm 10 weeks 3 days today and had a private scan....little bubs was moving and wriggling away....it made it seem so real!!

This is my first, is anyone else noticing a slight bump with their first at 10 weeks or is it just constipation??? Hmm

mummyGof2boys · 19/08/2017 20:36

Hi ladies and welcome to the newbies. How are you all? Well my bump is defo here. That's me in the 2nd trimester woohoo 26 weeks to go. The headaches and tiredness continue but I have been granted a break from sickness which is amazing.

Can I ask-how many on here found the TTC journey easy and how many have had a bumpier ride to get here? I know every journey is different so it's interesting to hear :)

@CL1982 we were trying from march 2016. Give and take a few months here and there with hubby or myself being away with work. It wasn't working! My cycles were regular like clockwork and it just wasn't happening I'm 35 and I hadn't had a smear test...(I know, I know) so I booked myself appointments to make sure all was ok and had a smear. That came back good but after doing some swabs they found I had BV. Took antibiotics and got pregnant 3 months after.
We had also received our first appointment with the fertility department but I found I conceived naturally. Could it have been the BV holding me back?
I also used pre-seed on and off.

CL1982 · 20/08/2017 18:41

Ok I thought this film was going to be awful and loving it 😂 Go Bridget Jones's Baby! You're actually enjoyable!

Hello. Glad clothes links helpful. We will rock these bumps.

I seem to remember from the last thread there's quite a few of us bumpy riders on here. After we lost our little daughter Olivia in Aug 2015 I had to have 2x surgery rounds in sept then in oct due to retained placenta bits. We started ttc ing again in March 2016. No luck. Saw a gynaecologist who then did a hysteroscopy to remove some scar tissue from the 2x Erpcs. That was late Feb 2017. DH and I had decided to push the button on a fertility referral after the month we actually conceived. That was our 'having given up naturally' month.

Rocky road continues I'm afraid. I had a bleed on Friday (straight after posting). Epagu checked me out (never good when you are recognised by the receptionist). Sonographer was the same as scanned me the first time this pregnancy. Baby (drama llama) bouncing and looking utterly unconcerned as usual, but a blood clot was coming out of the cervix when they speculum-ed. Hoping to goodness I've not abrupted the placenta again. Mil stayed only yesterday and DH took her out for a long walk so I I've been able to take it easy at home. Pretty shredding though. Thankfully I have both prem clinic and midwife on Wednesday.

CL1982 · 20/08/2017 18:59

@Summerblush1982 Maybe. I think I needed a few months post coil to settle and then we needed to time it right. It was just very hard to get the babies to stick. So we went 11months with nothing, got pregnant, mc'd and that went on two more times until this little bean. We did have clomid prescribed and used it once before the last miscarriage and it has a half life so I think that helped for sure as my cycles were soooooo long. Not as awful as a lot of journeys but not fun either. I still worry but I'm trying to put them to the back of my mind as much as possible.

Ps. Bad luck re he thrush @CL1982 - pessaries (which my phone autocorrects to predators! ) not so pleasant

CL1982 · 20/08/2017 19:01

@blueobsessive Much love-That sounds really scary. How are you doing in yourself? Can you take it VERY easy the next few weeks?

OP posts:
blueobsessive · 20/08/2017 19:14

It's been pretty bad, I'll not lie. Whenever it seems as though we've got through something, another thing crops up. The sense of deja vu has been really uncomfortable. The advice seems to be that there isn't anything that we could do at this stage. It will either be ok, or won't. At least prem clinic will monitor the cervix and might be able to put in a stitch if it starts to open. Most other things they won't try until 24 weeks (only another 12 to go...)

My body is saying to take it easy so I'm going to follow that ;hospital didn't seem to think it would change much: other than avoiding swimming or illegal drugs like cocaine (yup they said that - not really a risk with me- I was even teetotal before pregnancy and totally wouldn't go there with drugs - someone must have done to provide the evidence base for the advice: the mind boggles).

Just trying to take each day as it comes.

CL1982 · 20/08/2017 19:57

@blueobsessive I am so sorry you're going through this. We're always here for you. It is an incredibly worrying experience at the best of times and you have extra worries. I think Drama Llama is a fighter. Just rest as much as you possibly can ❤️
