30 weeks and so miserable

I'm officially over being pregnant. Everything aches, I feel so big and stretched (I know I will only get bigger!) it's hard to breathe, I feel overwhelmed at the idea of working for another 8 weeks, my hands and feet are swollen, not sleeping well at all now (waking up for a wee about 5 times a night, plus hip pain and leg cramp), can't be bothered to eat anything that isn't cereal or cheese (am trying though), just generally fucked off.

My husband has been incredible throughout the whole pregnancy, looking after me and the house and just generally being wonderful. I have been a big bag of whinge.

Don't really have a point to this post other than a little whinge.

I'm currently worrying about watery milky white discharge. Well if it's discharge I'm not worried but am wondering if it's fluid Confused anyone else?

Kittysparks1 · 07/08/2017 19:59

Thissameearth I found my discharge got heavier the further along I became. Panty liners are your friend.
Any concerns call the hospital/midwife. They will advise you on what to do.
Had my routine midwife appt today, they sent me to day unit as blood pressure high. But blood pressure was fine once I got there!
Losing my mucous plug at the moment so hopefully things are heading in the right direction.

Thissameearth · 07/08/2017 20:30

Thanks kitty I'm been using liners not troubled by discharge per se, I'm just worried I should be ruling out fluid rather than ignoring it. I did call midwife but she just said prob fine but at this stage to contact hospital and in my experience if I contact hospital they'll just say come in if you're concerned - I don't want to escalate matters unnecessarily and not sure if is necessary! I put a liner on and lay down for an hour and didn't seem to gush upon standing so probably fine. I had a MC shortly before this pregnancy so I'm a worrier but trying to keep grip on it - not easy to judge between irrational concern that ought to be ignored and a worry that should be acted upon.

Exciting re plug, how many weeks?

Kittysparks1 · 07/08/2017 21:07

What does it smell like? I heard that if it's amniotic fluid it has a certain smell? Also I thought I was leaking at about 26 weeks but it turned out to be wee that's quite common apparently. I didn't even have a wee sensation I just wet myself. I went up to the day unit and they checked my cervix and baby and informed me I'd wet myself but even so, getting checked out put mind at rest.

I'm 36+5 today so still plenty of time so kind of in denial about the signs right now. Knowing my luck baby will come 2 weeks overdue after induction!

TheLegendOfBeans · 07/08/2017 21:13

@thissameearth

We really just stop meeting like this Grin

So I've had "patchy pants" past few days. I'm not getting my knickers in a twist [slide trombone] but it basically smelt weird. Like - and I am not going to sugar coat this - jizz.

Seeing as I've basically regrown my hymen I'll be asking about patchy pants mystery whiffs at my gyane appt on Weds. Will report back.

In other news I had seven wees in the night last night. Do you think there could be a second baby in there but so far it's just been excelling at hide and seek?!

stepmum88 · 07/08/2017 22:36

33 weeks today......put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker this morning........ have had no appetite at all during this trimester....
It dawned on me at 8.45 that I wanted a mc chicken sandwich ..... so off I drive to the drive through in my PJs......... a new pregnancy low 😞

MuvaWifey77 · 07/08/2017 22:48

33+1 and had microplane crash 2. Years ago that left me with injuried pelvis and broken ribs so researched everywhere how to deal with the excruciating pain after I've been sitting for periods of time. Physio and belt are useless. I hate being like this and although I'm only 9kg heavier I feel like giving up (as if it was possible at this stage lol) It's so hard being pregnant :(

Currently in Spain trying not to melt or have a meltdown or pull my hairs out 🙈

10storeylovesong · 08/08/2017 09:31

Has anyone else's sickness come back? I was horrendous until 18 weeks then it seemed to ease a little but the never ending nausea has come back, although not actually throwing up the same.

Kittysparks1 · 08/08/2017 10:14

10storey I got diagnosed with hg and the first 20+ weeks were hell. Then it eased up. Then I found it came back on the odd day randomly but never full on. And I would just pop an anti sick med and it would fade. Did you get any meds from your gp at the start that you can take?

GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 13:39

omg I've had enough today!!! I'm constantly red hot, I never ever cool down, so I constantly have a sweaty face which is really annoying!
My ears are blocked because of a cold and all I can hear is my own breathing and my heart pounding away!! My heart beats really fast all the time just from doing something simple like walking from my desk to the printer, I've just had enough, 9 weeks to go!!!!

amypanth · 08/08/2017 14:20

@GlitterSparkles17 I've had blocked ears for like 2 weeks now. And such a runny nose. I've had zilch energy. I've put it down to a cold but I guess it could be a pregnancy symptom.

GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 14:47

amypanth I feel your pain!! Mine have been this way for 5 weeks, doctor cant give me anything, currently waiting for an appointment with the ENT specialist im hoping they will drain my ears! Got midwife in an hour, hoping she's got some advice/natural remedies for me.

10storeylovesong · 08/08/2017 18:10

kitty I had cyclizine and ondansetron for first 16 or so weeks but didn't get any more when they ran out. Regretting it now!

MrsCharlieD · 08/08/2017 18:26

Can I join the pity party? 30+2 today and I'm over it. I have spd so constantly feel like I've kicked in the vagina, I can't sit for long at work as my arse kills and it aggravates my spd, I'm breathless and knackered, climbing stairs is such a task and I'm working full time and have a 3 year old too. Cannot wait to get this baby out!

123456kent · 08/08/2017 18:49

I love this thread! I've been feeling guilty and weak for being fed up but I'm not alone so it seems! 29 + 5...

  • terrible lower back pain, can barely walk, daily commute feeling tougher each day (8 weeks of work left)
  • sleeping well! Tick! Although painful to turn over and keep finding myself on my back - oops
  • leaking left boob
  • terrible heartburn
  • the return of first trimester nausea
  • eye tick since day one of pregnancy
  • exhaustion (obvs)
  • weird emotions - anxious, worried, chilled, happy, sad, angry, fed up, excited - all at the same time
  • want sex, don't want sex, can't have sex, all at the same time
  • not knowing if I am being neurotic if baby hasn't moved for 10mins/half an hour/2 hours/4 hours i.e at what point should I be taking some action to check all ok?!
I could go on... but I feel like an ungrateful miserable cow OH lovely but reminds me a lot I 'have a long way to go'. This is true (touch wood) but it doesn't make any of these things go away or feel better does it?!
GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 19:11

Been to the midwife today and I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead of what I should be 😫 Cue worrying myself silly

Kittysparks1 · 08/08/2017 19:29

Oh dear glitter. Hopefully baby's growing will even itself out the further along you get.

I've just spent the day with weird stuff (plug) continuing to glob out and aches and pains. Thought something might be happening but all gone now. Looks like it's not over for me yet!

Kittysparks1 · 08/08/2017 19:31

10 storey you need to get some more meds, just call doc and they should just prescibe it if you had it before. Really helps. Even though like you said, it's not as bad, it's the fear of it getting as bad as the beginning I wasn't prepared to risk. But I've only needed the odd one every couple of weeks or so.

AgentCooper · 08/08/2017 19:36

Oh Glitter Flowers Did they give you any indication of why that might be?

Probably best not listen to me as I'm not a medical professional but I have heard lots of people saying the bump measurement is an extremely blunt instrument for baby's actual size.

I've been up and down emotionally. Lots of it is no doubt tiredness but I've started pre natal counselling for my anxiety as I so want to be as calm and strong as I can for my wee guy. I really don't want to let him down.

GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 21:35

The midwife wants to me to have the GTT test to check for gestational diabetes, tbh I have had dry mouth a lot lately but I've put it down to this stupid cold I've had because it's mainly on a night, so I'm no paranoid I've had it ages and I'm damaging my baby 😭

GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 21:36

Kittysparks1 sounds like the end is definitely near for you!! Good luck

GlitterSparkles17 · 08/08/2017 21:37

AgentCooper that's good that your tackling it before baby comes, I made the mistake of ignoring my anxiety during my 2nd pregnancy and I ended up with slight PND after.

stepmum88 · 09/08/2017 11:12

@123456kent I've been a bit paranoid about baby movements- have you heard of the Kicks Count campaign? They have an app which helps you track them- I've found it very calming!!

Has anyone had lower pelvis pain at all? It's fine when I'm sat down, but walking about is really quite painful, especially after a time sitting down. Any advice?
X

silkybear · 10/08/2017 13:14

I had the same Glitter, measuring off the charts, went for gtt and it was normal. I also have dry mouth, thirsty, pee constantly so it's usual i think. Good luck. Just caught up with the thread, sex once at 20ish weeks, somewhere between the vomitig and the spd! Last time he got nothing for about 18 months, stitches and breastfeeding meant afterwards was no better. We have both resigned to a few years of wanking Grin

silkybear · 14/08/2017 22:18

Glitter did your GTT go ok in the end?
