Hi girls, I had my sweep on Tuesday afternoon as was due on Monday! MW said I was 2cm, on Wednesday I had lost my plug, since then I have been experiencing like period pains in lower bump and back. The lower abdomen cramps have now eased but from this morning my lower back is in agony only time it eases is when I'm on my birthing ball & now tonight period like cramps are back in my lower bump, pain in my back is so sore it's making me feel sick. Am I in early labour? I was induced 40+10 with my first so can't even tell what I should be going through and not sure wether to hold off or contact hospital?

So sorry for rambling just so fed up and sore now Shock

Xx

oatybiscuits · 22/07/2017 21:24

Sounds very early labour-ey to me Smilekeep us posted!

Testyisanicerword · 22/07/2017 21:26

Eeek call the midwife! Exciting times

Francine92 · 22/07/2017 21:47

Have no contractions though, no tightening at all so didn't want to waste MW time by calling Confused And everyone keeps saying oh you'll know when your in labour... but my back is literally on fire can't sit at peace 😭

That sounds like I felt right before contractions started. Very uncomfortable. Stay on your ball or have a bath. Probably dont need to go to hosp til actual contractions though. X

Francine92 · 22/07/2017 21:57

Thanks girly. How long did it last before contractions started for you, I know everyone is different. My back ache has been here from Thursday or so and only from this morning has it really started to become agonising!😓 What us girls put ourselves through lol I just can't wait to meet my wee woman already and can't hold out to be induced on Thursday seems so far away lol x

I had this and it was back to back labour. Ask any midwife. They'd rather a call that's just to calm nerves than a mother suffering in silence.

Francine92 · 22/07/2017 22:04

Testyisanicerword, did you have contractions? When wee woman moves it's so sore and have shooting pains down into my v.😔 Sorry for all the questions just don't know what I'm going through and why it's so painful lol it cannot just be normal back ache that comes with pregnancy though, feels so period-like into my hips bum and thighs x

Your probably in labour already. I would not be surprised if you were dilating. I'd head in and get checked. You could be having an unusual labour.

needsomesunshineandwine · 22/07/2017 22:14

With my 2nd pain was all down back, bum and back of thighs, she was back to back. Completely different contraction pain to my first.

Good luck 🙂

AreWeThereYet000 · 22/07/2017 22:15

Back to back labour is often pains in the back rather than the bump I'd go get checked.

LexieLulu · 22/07/2017 22:19

Sounds like my first labour, that was back to back. Try and stay on your ball as much as you can to help position the baby (they can turn into right position) xx

VelvetThunder · 22/07/2017 22:21

I was also going to suggest that it sounds as though it could be back to back labour. I'd definitely give midwife a call for advice and to let them know your progress.
Hoping things all go quickly and smoothly for you. Good luck Flowers

Francine92 · 22/07/2017 22:55

Thanks for advice girls, just took 2 paracetamol think I might try wait it out to morning see how I feel then, if I can get some sleep as LO in bed sleeping and don't want to wake him if MW wants me to head over to hospital x

How are you OP? Did it relent. Sorry, I feel asleep.

No, I didn't have traditional contracting until I was 7cms as baby moved a little.

Hope you're ok

Oysterbabe · 23/07/2017 07:56

With DD all my pain was in my back until I was fully dilated. I only had pain at the front after transition and she was born 30 minutes later. Good luck!

Francine92 · 23/07/2017 10:41

Seems to be more of a constant period like pain today than agony, still not sure wether to phone hospital or not. Don't want to waste their time

Id phone. Just to be sure. It may be an infection instead.

Francine92 · 23/07/2017 11:19

It's starting to cramp really bad again, only have pressure in my tummy. Going to phone now x

Francine92 · 23/07/2017 11:32

They just said pain relief and baths to ease pain, don't come down unless there is a pattern to the cramps.. have no idea what I'm meant to be looking out for Confused

It sounds like labour will be soon, and as much as you don't want to hear it you will know the difference in a contraction.

I was like you before my 1st and then you get one and you understand. If you can, nap as much as possible today. You might have a long night ahead x

Francine92 · 23/07/2017 15:54

I just feel completely fed up.. I am so exhausted running after a 3yo. Heading to park to try hike the hills get this baby out of me :(

I just don't think I could last to Thursday to be induced wish she would just come but I honestly don't think she is gona make an appearance on her own.

OP posts:
annoyedand · 23/07/2017 16:32

Sounds to me like you're in early signs of labour.

MeeWhoo · 23/07/2017 16:39

If it is back to back labour, there may not be any pattern to the contractions at all!
(Bitter voice of experience)

Francine92 · 23/07/2017 17:56

Been out today running around park after my little one, now went to Pizza Hut and can barely sit still to eat back is in agony 😔 rocking back and forth like a fruit loop lol
