Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

@TidmanK - St George's is my local hospital too!
I went to the doc this morning for my first appt and they told me to self refer as it would be quicker. It was a pretty pointless appt, but I suppose it gets you into the system at the GP surgery.

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 11:24

@KitKat2891 No way where are you based?
I've done the self referral form for the hospital so I'm waiting for them to get in touch. I'm meant to have a Drs appointment tomorrow
I'm just really impatient and suffer from anxiety anyway so I'm just thinking the worst 24/7! I'm trying to stay calm and not worry but it's easier said than done!

KitKat2891 · 20/07/2017 11:35

@TidmanK - I think it's perfectly natural to be anxious. This is my first and very much wanted so it can be hard not to imagine the worst.
I'm in Balham. Where are you? What's your EDD?

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 11:40

@KitKat2891 This is my first and totally unplanned! Yeah it's natural to worry I think :)

I'm also Balham! I'm on the top of tooting common! EDD is 5th March, you?

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 11:46

Ye agree with you both, I've self refered in the past (2-3 times) due to issues in the past and mine are normally very good and much more sympathetic with anxiety of early PG.

i rang my doctors surg and explained my past of ectopics, tube removal and 4 m/c's and the receptionist was like " well this time you may be fine so you can just book in with the midwife".....Jokers!

rider1975 · 20/07/2017 11:58

Hi ladies - can I join :-)
I've just had my reassurance scan at West Mid and have a heartbeat at 7+3 so edd is 5 march - same as you TidmanK
I've had 2 mmc at age 39 and 41 and no children so this is the furthest along I've ever been - previous had no heart beat
Feeling emotional and taking it one day at a time
Congrats to you all :-))

Congrats new ladies :)

Anyone else having hot sweats???? I'm so hot its crazy!

rider1975 · 20/07/2017 12:21

Hi Blue
It's good to get it checked - they'll do the internal scan and can give you early reassurance.
I'm hot hot hot too!

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 12:29

@BlueeSpottyTiger When I first booked the dr appointment they said they wouldn't normally give people appointments anymore as it all goes through the hospital. I insisted at the time but all I've heard from local friends is they will just say congrats and not do anything

I'm also so hot!! My morning commute on the tube is torture! I've had to order a baby on board badge already so I can sit down because it's just too much! Just need to remember to take it off before I get to work!!

KitKat2891 · 20/07/2017 12:41

@TidmanK - which Surgery are you at? I'm at Balham Park. And yep, it was just a congrats and self refer.
But I'm glad I went and it was only 10 mins.

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 12:43

@KitKat2891 Clapham Park Group Practice

I've left a message with St Georges EPU and they will call me back so we will see!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 20/07/2017 13:08

Congratulations Rider :) totally with you on feeling emotional, no day is the same. @Lauren5 sorry about your Mum, hope you're doing ok. We're here to chat anytime xx

MrsW0812 · 20/07/2017 13:16

Aww thanks ladies - it's higher up more like side of tummy. I had pleurisy earlier this year so the tiredness could be flaring that up.

Suffering with extreme nausea today and I also have the severe bloat!

Bumpkin21 · 20/07/2017 13:52

@TidmanK - I went to St George's EPU this morning and they are the loveliest bunch. They did a scan even though I'm only 4 weeks to see if they could see anything, as I had some bleeding. They couldn't see anything but might call me back in in a week or 2. I'd say definately self refer for peace of mind, and I had a really good experience at St George's.

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 13:58

KitKat2891 · 20/07/2017 14:51

@Bumpkin21 - are you another person local to St George's?
So lovely to have a few local ladies on here.

KitKat2891 · 20/07/2017 14:51

Congratulations @Winterc00kie - that's lovely news

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 14:58

I cant believe I said OH Em GEE...How tacky!

Thanks guys! oxoxo

Bumpkin21 · 20/07/2017 15:08

@Winterc00kie - yay! That's so exciting! I think that means you'd be able to see it on an ultrasound now.

@KitKat - yes! I'm around Earlsfield. Maybe if we're all St George's and due at a similar time then we'all be in the same ante natal group? Either way, what a nice coincidence that we're so close!

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 15:16

@Bumpkin21 That's so nice to hear! I've decided to go first thing tomorrow morning to help calm my nerves! Did you wait for long?
@KitKat2891 It's so exciting we're all so close! I hope we're in the same classes too! Even if not we should meet up for a (soft) drink at some point!

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 15:26

@bumpkin21 yes, i think so, i was booked in for scan tomorrow but its been moved to Tuesday as they are happy with the result

rozybelle · 20/07/2017 15:30
