Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

71/2 week scan tomorrowGrin is there anything I need to be worried about because I'm so nervous!!!

Bumpkin21 · 20/07/2017 16:10

Welcome @rozybelle!

@TidmanK - I got there about 10:15 and got seen at about 11. So take a book, but it's not too bad. They close at 11am by the way.

FuzzyOwl · 20/07/2017 16:25

Just realised there is another March 2018 thread. I think I am due at the very end but might go for an early scan to get a better idea.

rozybelle · 20/07/2017 16:34

Thankyou @TidmanK and @Bumpkin21 hope you girls are well! XX

rider1975 · 20/07/2017 16:43

Thank you for the warm welcome Smile
To issy1265 - I had my scan today at 7+3 and the report showed length of the foetus. I walked away without knowing the heart beat rate and length of the yolk sack which are both good indicators of a healthy pregnancy. I wish I'd noticed at the hospital rather than try and get these after the fact

FuzzyOwl · 20/07/2017 17:09

In my experience @rider1975 if there was any concern at all about the heartbeat rate, yolk sac or anything else, the hospital would have asked you to come back in a week to ten days to do another scan.

rider1975 · 20/07/2017 17:26

Thanks FuzzyOwl - that's good to know

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 17:30

@Bumpkin21 Oh okay that's better than I thought, when I called they said I should get there for 8! I won't worry so much about being there bang on 8 then!
Bf will be coming with me so I'll have company!

issy2165 · 20/07/2017 17:34

Can you get a photo? My partner can't come as we're both managers at the same place of work and it's impossible to get time off at the same time such short notice!

rider1975 · 20/07/2017 17:52

Yes I was given a photo - wasn't expecting that!

issy2165 · 20/07/2017 18:23

That's fantastic I can't wait!!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 20/07/2017 19:42

Congrats on the good scan rider sorry i missed your post just before mine earlier x

Is an internal scan with that big dildo looking thing 🙈 if so i think I'll try and avoid that lol.. how many weeks gone do they usually start ultra sounds?

wintercookie awww yay! Fabulous xx

Any one in Manchester like me??? Lol

howdoyouworkthisthing · 20/07/2017 19:48

Bluespotty 'big dildo' comment made me chuckle, I had to look away as the sonographer 'lubed' it up! 🤣 I had an internal at 6ish weeks if that helps

Bumpkin21 · 20/07/2017 19:53

@Blueespottytiger - 😂
I was worried too, but it's actually quite small, about 2cm wide, so it's really not uncomfortable. I think about 11 weeks is when they start doing abdominal ultrasounds, internal ones start to show at about 5-6 weeks.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 20/07/2017 22:11

Haha oh! That's better! 😂🙈
I had a ultra sound scan at 9 weeks with DD but i have no idea when they start.. 🤔maybe if dd wasn't showing on that they would have done an internal. I'll see of i have the pain on monday still and if so I'll go, i would rather know sooner than later if something is wrong xx

coastalchick · 21/07/2017 07:25

wow! lots to catch up on! Will give any helpful(!) comments later as have parents visiting and my mum knows but not my dad so all a bit awks!!!! Rang docs yesterday and all fine with bloods plus confirmed early pregnancy!!! So just hanging on now hoping get to 12 weeks and that all is well.

howdoyouworkthisthing · 21/07/2017 07:54

Good luck today Izzy 😊

TidmanK · 21/07/2017 08:18

Well I've found my first food aversion: Marmite I'm devastated! 🤢

MrsW0812 · 21/07/2017 08:32

@TidmanK - and that's a bad thing? 😜 #loveitorhateit

Bumpkin21 · 21/07/2017 08:55

I seem to have an aversion to most food at the moment, but I'm sooooo hungry!
Anyone got any good morning sickness tips?

issy2165 · 21/07/2017 09:40

Thank you waiting in the hospital now! Only took me half an hour to find the bloody ward 🙄 feeling like crap today I feel so hungover and groggy and these storms aren't helping give me my sofaaaaa
