Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

Sorry to hear that @Zedahmed123. Is there any chance that your dates could be wrong? Was the scan internal?

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 12/09/2017 10:17

So sorry to hear that Zedahmed. I had the same at 7 weeks. Unfortunately the hormones are still racing around your body and can make you come up as pregnant on a test even if you are not. Have you had any bleeding? What have the pregnancy suggested is your next step? So sorry. I know how devastating it is SadFlowers

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 12/09/2017 10:18

Sorry my post made no sense! Should've said 'what do the pregnancy unit suggest'.

Notthedoctor32 · 12/09/2017 11:56

I'm at the hospital today for my first scan and apart from sore boobs I have no other symptoms at all so I'm petrified they won't find anything in there!
@Zedahmed123 I hope they manage to find out why for you soon.
xx

Zedahmed123 · 12/09/2017 21:06

Hi ladies
I have got a doctors.appointment tomorrow. I hope I can.get some answers.
Since the start of this pregnancy I have my hormone levels yoyoing. They fall and I think it's a miscarriage. Then they go up and I think maybe there is a chance that I'm still pregnant.
At the moment I am an emotional reck. I don't know what to do.

I hope I can get some answers tomorrow.
Thanks for all your support ladies.Confused

Notthedoctor32 · 13/09/2017 10:43

@Zedahmed123 good luck today, I hope you get some answers.

My scan went well and there was a healthy baby waving at us on the screen. As well as opening and closing it's mouth and jiggling quite a bit! It was pretty weird! Looking over at DH to see his expression was just the same as mine!

LoveRainbow02 · 13/09/2017 10:43

Hey ladies how are you all?

How did your scan go @Notthedoctor32 ?

@Zedahmed123 I hope you get some answers today. Thinking of you 💐

My anxiety is kicking in again and I hate it! Had my 12 week scan on the 4th and I'm already contemplating another private scan. Can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen and it's driving me insane 😕.

KittyKat73 · 13/09/2017 11:44

loverainbow im the same im always worrying something bad is going to happen. I have my 20 week scan in 3 weeks and im worrying about what if something has happened inbetween times! i dont think you ever shake that feeling off.

notthedoctor aww thats a lovely scan photo! at my 12 week the baby wasnt playing ball and was camera shy but we got a few good peaks at them!

zedahmed I really hope you get some answers today you must be so worried about everything Flowers

Notthedoctor32 · 13/09/2017 12:37

@KittyKat73 it was such a wonderful experience and I'm so in love with my scan pictures! we were so lucky to get such a clear view!

I just have my half brother to tell tonight and that's all the important people in the know... I can then tell the world! (or just Facebook Grin)

JamdaniSari · 13/09/2017 13:12

That's a beautiful scan @Notthedoctor32 :)
I had my first scan yesterday too...v emotional!
However as it isn't quite 12 weeks, they have made an appointment for a second scan on Friday as the umbilical cord hasnt fully fused to my abdomen (I hadn't heard of this before!) This should hopefully be done by 12 wks. God willing it goes ok!

Zedahmed123 · 13/09/2017 20:20

Hi ladies
Notthedoctor32 that is a really nice scan.

I did not get an answer from the doctor. She only refered me to early pregnancy unit.
I have a an appointment me tomorrow with EPU. I hope they can give me some answers. I'm just going in circles and out of my mind.
Hey to all you ladies I hope you all have smooth 9 months of pregnancy. Smile

Zedahmed123 · 14/09/2017 23:17

Hi ladies.
I have confirmed miscarriage.
I will not be writing on this blogg anymore.

I like to thank you all lovely ladies for all your support and love.

I wish you all ladies healthy 9 months of pregnancy.

Notthedoctor32 · 15/09/2017 07:22

All the luck and love for the future Zed xxx

LoveRainbow02 · 15/09/2017 12:16

So sorry to hear this @Zedahmed123 💐

I've been experiencing sharp shooting pains around my pubic bone now for 2 days. Not sure if this is normal and due to things stretching etc but I am freaking out 😕. Anyone else had anything similar?

Notthedoctor32 · 15/09/2017 12:38

@LoveRainbow02 I've also been getting lower shooting pains every now and then... I'm guessing it's normal and just the muscles stretching??? Sorry I'm not much help! Confused

LoveRainbow02 · 15/09/2017 12:44

I think your right @Notthedoctor32 . It's most likely normal but I can't help freak out. I called my midwife yesterday about it and she told me to contact a physio but didn't give me a reason why and said it's good I'm feeling pain at this stage 😕. However she gave me no explanation as to what the pain could be from!

Notthedoctor32 · 15/09/2017 12:58

well she doesn't sound very good! Hmm
if in doubt I'd give the hospital a call for a second opinion.
I'm not too worried at the moment as I'm sure I can feel movement (I'm noticing a lot more rippling feelings and the strange feeling of being poked from the inside!!!) told my sister though, who has 3 older children, and she said it's too early to be feeling anything at the mo :/

LoveRainbow02 · 15/09/2017 13:06

I don't wanna call the hospital incase they think I'm over reacting etc, I'm a very anxious person and I over think everything! I haven't contacted a physio as I have no idea what my reason is for calling 1. I get midwifes are busy and hear this everyday but for a 1st time mum it's a very scary time and she should have explained and reassured me more. Is this your first baby? Everyone is different, I've heard people feel movement much later and some feel much earlier so you never know 😊.

Notthedoctor32 · 15/09/2017 14:27

@LoveRainbow02 This is my first too but I think because I have such a supportive sister who has been through this 3 times, and of course my husband but he's probably even more clueless than I am! If anything is wrong I can always speak to either of them and their calming influence is enough for me to keep my feet on the ground and not let my imagination run wild.
And I always think that at this stage, if anything were to happen, no one would be able to do anything about it and it would be no one's fault. I'd just have to put it down to bad luck and hope that I'm able to conceive again. Obviously I'd be devastated but there's literally nothing you can do about a miscarriage at this point in the pregnancy, if it's going to happen it will.
But having said all that, chances of miscarriage drop from 50% to 10% after the first trimester and if you've had your 12 week scan and it looked good/nothing was genetically abnormal there should be no reason for you to miscarry.
It's an awful subject to talk about but I hope I've managed to put you at easy even just a little bit! This is a scary time for us all and I'm glad we're all going through this together!

LoveRainbow02 · 15/09/2017 15:42

Yeah I get what you mean. I had a previous miscarriage in February so that's only adding to my anxiety this time. I'm just going to relax this weekend with the feet up and see how I go 😊.

JamdaniSari · 15/09/2017 16:44

So sorry to hear that @Zedahmed123

May He grant you shifaa. Hope you and your family are coping iA.

KittyKat73 · 20/09/2017 11:38

Sorry ladies I havent been around for a few days. Having a ongoing battle with work regarding working conditions while pregnant Angry but thats another story!

Had my 16 week appointment on monday and heard the babys heart beat it was lovely ! just so reassuring inbetween scan times. I have my 20 week scan in 2 weeks ( im further along than what we all thought im actually 18 weeks tomorrow)

Zedamed I am so sorry I hope you are doing ok and have support at your end Flowers
notthedoctor and loverainbow I have similar shooting pain or at times it feels like a pressure type pain in my lower abdomin/ pubic area. Sppoke to my midwife who said its normal for muscles ligaments womb stretching and growing but if I have any severe pain or bleeding not to hesitate to contact them.

Ab22x · 20/09/2017 17:29

Hi ladies,
Just seen this group and I'm due 3rd March! Nice to know I'm not the only one going through some of these feelings and emotions! I don't think anything can prepare you for how much of an emotional roller-coaster pregnancy is regardless of how much you've wanted it!
Hope you're all keeping well, 4 weeks to wait for my 20 week scan and I can't wait! So anxious though x

carlaf · 23/09/2017 08:58

Hi, I am due on 21 March and new to this thread. I’m going to be an older mum as I’m 39, I had my 12 week scan on Monday at 14 weeks as I was on holiday so a bit late and had to go into hospital yesterday as my results show I’m increased risk for Down’s syndrome. Has anyone else been through this? I don’t think we are going to opt for further tests as I want to carry on the pregnancy regardless and in reality although I am classed as high risk it’s still 1 in 124 chance which is expected for someone my age anyway. It’s just on my mind and I want to relax through my pregnancy xxx

natalielawry1 · 25/09/2017 20:07

I’m due 21 march
