Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

@coastalchick It sounds like you need to try and get a blood test to see for sure what's going on! I hope it works out for you!

@Bumpkin21 Congratulations!! I'm 7+2 and although I'm super nauseous and constantly tired I still don't think I 'feel' pregnant! I don't think it's going to feel real until I see/hear the baby!

coastalchick · 19/07/2017 14:56

thanks TidmanK and congrats bumpkin21!

Had a blood test at docs yesterday so not sure when that will be back. Just hoping it's all ok given my age.Trying not to stress and to stay positive. And have started eating healthy (my diet was terrible!) so making sure I have breakfast which is fortified with vits, taking the pregnacare double pack and just had chicken and salad for lunch!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 19/07/2017 16:10

@coastalchick hope you hear back from docs soon, it's so horrible waiting.
@Bumpkin21 congratulations!
@TidmanK yeah I feel that way but not really any nausea so wondering if it's just emotional exhaustion! 🙂

LynseyLou1982 · 19/07/2017 16:42

Hi everyone, I have booked myself in for a private scan next Thursday (I'll be 7 weeks by then) as I know I cannot wait to get to 12 weeks as I'm that anxious to know that there is definitely a baby in there and that all is well. They said they should be able to hear the heartbeat as well at 7 weeks so I think once I've had that done and as long as all is OK I might just might be able to breathe a bit and stop Googling as much.

Bumpkin21 · 19/07/2017 17:09

I've just had a bit of bleeding. Terrified it's a chemical pregnancy. Docs in the morning :(

TidmanK · 19/07/2017 17:11

@LynseyLou1982 Good Luck! It'll be so lovely to see and hear!
I'm starting to think a private scan might be the only thing to quieten my anxious mind too!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 19/07/2017 17:13

@Bumpkin21 hope it's all ok, try not to google too much and don't get too stressed (I know easy to say).

Congrats everyone! I am due on the 19th March! This will be my 3rd DC and my second is 9 months old so I am still firmly in my baby bubble! I am getting mild nausea, serious backache but not sure if I am showing as didn't quite get around to losing DC2 babyweight...🙂

Bumpkin, I bled with both my previous pregnancies before 12 weeks and still none the wiser why but doesn't always mean something bad xx

Summerblush1982 · 19/07/2017 19:03

I'm due on 14th march. But, the other day I had pains in my belly but no bleeding. Went to see the doc and he referred me to gynae for a scan for peace of mind. Had that today and they had to use the wand to detect it. Saw the little heart beating!!! It was tiny!!!!!

issy2165 · 19/07/2017 19:41

I have my scan on Friday and I was 7 weeks today I'm so nervous but exited!

Poptart90 · 19/07/2017 19:48

I found out I was pregnant last Wednesday and it still doesn't feel real!! I did another test yesterday just because it still hasn't sunk in and the line on that one was much darker than any other one I've done, so that made me feel better. I am just so paranoid that something bad is going to happen, I feel really anxious and emotional. I have a Dr appointment on Friday and I'll see what they say about when scans are done where I am, but I'm thinking I might go for an early scan too just because I don't think I can wait another 7 weeks!! (I'm 5+2). Does anyone else feel really anxious/paranoid?

user1471858017 · 19/07/2017 19:59

@poptart90 I had serious anxiety last week but heart palpatations too so put it down to physical changes and actually embraced it as thought good sign as guessed I was pregnant then before I tested at the weekend. It has subsided now and all I have is backache and mild nausea

howdoyouworkthisthing · 19/07/2017 21:00

@Poptart90 & @user1471858017, yes, had bad anxiety a couple of weeks ago, and heart palpitations when I wasn't even thinking about being pregnant (just noticed after parking my car my heart was beating out of my chest). Felt like such a tool in the doctors explaining it, as I'm not used to the feeling and he just nodded and said 'yeah, that's anxiety, just try to stay calm'. Felt better after that as I had thought something was physically wrong! Nope, just subconscious anxiety!

Bumpkin21 · 19/07/2017 22:04

@user - thank you, that is reassuring to hear.

coastalchick · 19/07/2017 22:26

This was my test on tues which came up straight away. On reflection, think the one I did this morning had a darker second line (though didn't take a photo). 5 tests, 4 different brands can't be wrong right?!

Poptart90 · 19/07/2017 22:26

I haven't had palpatations just feeling anxious, I do have a history of anxiety and ive always thought it's hormone related (I could almost track my anxious days alongside my cycle) so I think it's just that. Still makes me feel crappy though.

Bumpkin21 · 19/07/2017 22:40

@coastalchick - that's deffo positive so if the other was darker then doubly definite!

Talking of anxiety - I had my first panic attack in 4 years on Tuesday. I didn't know I was pregnant then, so can't have been stress over that, so quite likely it was hormonal then I suppose. Didn't think about it being connected!

MrsW0812 · 20/07/2017 08:49

Hi all - not posted for a while but been reading. I'm 5+3 today

I'm super exhausted - and really struggling at work especially by the afternoon.

Today I've got a stitch like pain in my side - is that normal?

It's lovely having you all here as makes everything seem a bit more manageable x

Lauren5 · 20/07/2017 10:16

Hello!

First post here, I found out I was pregnant on Friday- about 5 weeks now. First pregnancy and it was a surprise. It's come at a strange time because my mum is terminally ill and my fiancée had to leave for Australia on sat ( the day after we found out!) to apply for his fiancée visa and might not be able to come back for 12 weeks.
Am feeling bit sorry for myself ATM and angry at the world for keeping us apart during this time when I need him most.
Also scared about whether I'm doing things right, how to best look after myself and whether I actually am still pregnant rather than imagining the whole thing!

X

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 10:32

Im just awaiting phone call now to see if my HCG's have doubled.....

@MrsW0812 - I think you should run this by a doctor in case. paint on a certain side in pregnancy is always best to get checked out. xxxx

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 10:39

@Lauren5 Congratulations!! It sounds like you're going through a tough time at the moment and I hope it all gets better really soon!
Do you have anyone else you're comfortable telling about it so you've got someone to talk to about it all?
We're all here for you too!

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 10:42

What do you guys think, do I go to my dr's appointment tomorrow where apparently they will just nod and tell me to self refer to the hospital (which I've already done) and maybe answer some of my questions, or do I go to St Georges in Tooting walk in clinic and try and see someone in the early pregnancy unit and try to maybe get a scan?

I haven't felt as sick the last few days and I'm starting to go mad with worry that none of this is real!

Lauren5 · 20/07/2017 10:47

Thank you that's really lovely. I've told my family ( who are semi distracted so hard to get support) and my best friend who is great but has her own baby and is super busy. Hoping I'll last the 12 weeks without loosing my mind, only cried once today so far ha!

Winterc00kie · 20/07/2017 10:51

@TidmanK I'd ring your local Epau unit for advice maybe as a doctoer normally refers you, if you call today they may be able to get you in tomorrow?

TidmanK · 20/07/2017 11:06

@Lauren5 Stay strong, it might be tough for a while but pregnancy is long and your man will be back before you know it!

@Winterc00kie Yeah that's probably a good idea...
