Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

OnceUponaMama · 10/07/2017 15:57

Good luck with your midwife appt kayleigh! I need to sort myself out and get registered too! I think it's gp appt then referral to a midwife in my area.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 10/07/2017 17:41

Okay I might sound bonkers here but I have the app called Flo I've used it for months to track my ovulation and periods now that's telling me I'm 6 weeks on Wednesday but all other apps are telling me I'm 4 weeks? I'm so confused!

MrsL2016 · 10/07/2017 21:52

Can I tentatively join? Got a faint bfp today at 12dpo and have a due date of 21st March. Going to test again on Wednesday.

Issy do you have a long cycle? Are you calculating using LMP or conception date? That might be the reason for the difference, if one app is estimating using a 28 day cycle and your flo app is perhaps using your own inputted data?

JessieDoops · 10/07/2017 22:01

Issy it did the same to me... I am convinced I am only 2-3 weeks. But it's telling me I've 5

JessieDoops · 10/07/2017 22:02

I'm*

JessieDoops · 10/07/2017 22:28

Silly question but....

I'm seeing the doctor next week, I assume they just do their own test and confirm that I am pregnant? Should my partner take time off work to come along or should he keep the time for more important appointments/scans?

MrsL2016 · 10/07/2017 22:36

Do you have to see your doctor to confirm and get a referral to community midwives Jessie. Here you just self refer and get a booking appointment around 8 weeks. In regards your partner coming, he can come to as many appointments as you would both like him too but he may have to take annual leave or unpaid leave. Most employers only give the required 2 appointments off paid for men as required by law. You might want to save those for scans.

JessieDoops · 10/07/2017 22:55

Thanks for the reply MrsL, I'm not really sure what happens... I called the doctors today, said about the positive test, and they gave me an appointment to see the doctor next week. All new to me.

issy2165 · 11/07/2017 06:40

Yeah the Flo app has all my inputted data even when we were ttc so I'm guessing that one is more accurate! I guess I won't know until I have my doctors appointment!

issy2165 · 11/07/2017 06:56

It's telling me I got pregnant the first day of my last period now I'm not gynocologist but I don't think that's possible 😂

MrsL2016 · 11/07/2017 07:39

That's how the weeks of pregnancy are calculated. They start from the first day of your last period. I am 4 wks tomorrow but I only conceived 2 weeks ago.

issy2165 · 11/07/2017 07:41

Sorry I'm all new to this! That makes sense then! Thank you!

issy2165 · 11/07/2017 08:26

Has anyone gone off of there favourite foods? The taste of a cup of tea now tastes like it drinking mud it's horrible!! I've also become a little bit addicted to the water at work... tap water at home tastes vile! Weird!!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 11/07/2017 09:00

Issy yes my morning cup of tea! 😣

Also the smell of things are making me dry heave.. like the fridge..dishwasher ect. They don't smell bad..but they smell like food and i don't seem to like it.

SophSoph92 · 11/07/2017 13:42

Hi everyone 👋🏼
I'm four weeks and according to my due date planner am due on 18th march 2018. I'm so so happy but also terrified. My pregnancy tests are very strong (have been since 3 days before AF) and my period which is normally like clockwork is late, but I'm absolutely terrified it could still turn up :(
I wish I could stop worrying but I just want this little poppyseed in my life so so much. I feel like I can't get excited because it's too risky a time! When did you all realise you could finally relax a bit?! :)

SophSoph92 · 11/07/2017 13:42

Even as I'm typing this I'm incredibly emotional! Anyone else have extreme hormone swings this early on!? Xxx

BlueeSpottyTiger · 11/07/2017 13:51

soph hey 👋 congrats
I never stopped worrying with dd! I don't think you ever truly stop worrying about it ever. Statistics on mc helped me last time! Xx

SophSoph92 · 11/07/2017 14:13

Yeah I did view those, but chemical pregnancy stats point to 60%-75% and that's what's stressing me I think Confused

Mum2oneds · 11/07/2017 14:36

OK so long story short. Been tcc for 18m. Lap back in Feb for endo and cyst. 1st round of clomid 100mg and 1000 metformin... That's after a mess up and they doubled it to 2000met and made me ill. Didn't OV until Cd 20ish via follicle tracking.. However got my bfp totally unexpected due to the mess up in tabs. We are over the moon.

However my LMP was 24/5/17 which via that I'm 7 weeks. But would make fetal age 4 weeks?

Today I've had a lot of pain on my right side. I originally had an early scan for 1/8/17 as I think the original nurse did my dates from ov. However when j phoned today she said I'm 7 not 4 weeks and to go in two days time. Which she worked out at 7.2 since LMP. I worry it will be too early to see a heart beat as ov'd later but she said won't matter ( would make it 28 days past ov / conceived .?

Please any advice. I'm not here for a one off as used to use this site when had DS 11 yrs ago... And wow it's changed.
