Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

Morning!
Congratulations new ladies 🤗 xx

I got my booking appointment letter through yesterday for the 9th August when I'll be 8+3 much better than last time i was either 11w or nearly 11weeks and didn't get my scan until 13+6.
I'm glad my appointment is when im in work as it means i will have a slightly shorter day haha.
issy I'm soooo inpatient too! 🙈 I'm having quite sharp pains in my left groin which is freaking me out but they come and go so I'm just going to wait and see if they stop. If not I'll have to go and tell my doctor.

Hi, I found out on Wednesday that I am pregnant with our first, very new to all of this and feeling very anxious! I think I am due around the 19th March Smile

issy2165 · 16/07/2017 10:03

Still waiting for my midwife to contact me and or get a letter all a bit confusing! I'm getting period type pains a few times a day especially if I move to quickly out the car or anything but I'm putting it down to my womb expanding! If I still have them tomorrow I'm going to call my doctor and see if I can have an early scan to put my mind at ease!

SophSoph92 · 16/07/2017 10:19

Ah I feel quite lucky with my midwife appts now! I'm in East Sussex and have my first at 6 weeks, then my 2nd at 8 weeks. I'm getting impatient enough as it is, not sure I could wait much longer!

SophSoph92 · 16/07/2017 10:20

Also woke up this morning with the weirdest pain, obviously extra pressure on my bladder because of all the stretching and growing! Felt like my stomach was 8 times the size! And the pain incorporated into my dream, which I always find really strange!

issy2165 · 16/07/2017 11:30

My best friend lives up there! Horsham! And I'm in Cornwall 🙄 you're so lucky up there! I just wish I new how far along I am!

TidmanK · 16/07/2017 11:59

I'm the same! I just wish I knew exactly where I was! If I go by the normal first day of last pregnancy I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow but I think I conceived quite late in my cycle so it could be less! I just want to know!
And I know the % chance of MC goes down loads once they hear a heartbeat so I just want to hear it! Stupid London taking forever!

issy2165 · 16/07/2017 12:24

I have a stethoscope upstairs I'm tempted to try and find it 😂😂😂 I have had an app to track my periods and ovulation for a year and that's telling me I'm 7 weeks but the NHS one is saying I'm 6 weeks! Sigh!!!

Princesspinkgirl · 16/07/2017 13:22

Due March 18th if dates are right

TidmanK · 16/07/2017 14:21

Just realised I wrote first day of last pregnancy not period! Eurgh my brain haha!
This is why we need doctors! They can figure these things out!

On another note my pregnancy book just arrived and I love it! I also got one for the bf and he's started reading it already! Makes me want to cry with happiness!

Congratulations Princesspinkgirl!!

issy2165 · 16/07/2017 16:42

What pregnancy books have people got?

TidmanK · 16/07/2017 20:43

I just got Expecting Better by Emily Oster

I really love it! I also got Pregnancy for Men for the bf

SophSoph92 · 16/07/2017 21:12

I got expecting better and happy, healthy pregnancy :)

BlueeSpottyTiger · 16/07/2017 22:14

I don't have any books, last time i had the pregnancy bible but i didn't read it. I just rolled with it xx

howdoyouworkthisthing · 17/07/2017 11:02

Issy, did you manage to get an appointment? Just got home from my scan, they said everything looks normal so far, although I thought I was 6 weeks and a few days, she said I'm more like 5 1/2 weeks but also said because I have longer cycles 29/30 days that is the reason the days are slightly out. So, I've seen my little baby!!! I'm in shock! Was convinced something would be wrong as I've been bleeding for 3 weeks straight now. Going back for another scan in 2 weeks! Congratulations to all the new ladies too! So exciting 😊

howdoyouworkthisthing · 17/07/2017 11:04

I bought pregnancy for men, the whole 9 months for my husband (before I had all these problems) and he's been having a laugh reading it, I have as well and less daunting than a book aimed at women, but I might get one now I know things are looking ok

LoveRainbow02 · 17/07/2017 11:13

Hi ladies can I join?

I'm currently 5+3 and feeling very anxious due to a previous loss in February. Tried for 2 years with my first pregnancy and this time took 6 months. Have my midwife appointment in 2 weeks but I am desperate for a scan to make sure everything is ok but unsure if my epu will give me an early scan 😕.

Winterc00kie · 17/07/2017 11:25

hi ladies, i went to the doctors today as ive had a couple of m/cs and 2 ecptiopics, she said my tummy feels mildly tender so im booked in for a scan at 0830 tomorrow xx

TidmanK · 17/07/2017 11:29

Howdoyouworkthisthing I'm so jealous you've been able to see you're baby! And I'm so pleased to hear it's all okay!
I'm 7 weeks today (assuming fdlp is correct) and all I want to do is hear its heartbeat and know this is all real!!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow WinterCookie!

TidmanK · 17/07/2017 11:30

Also congratulations LoveRainbow02!!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 17/07/2017 11:47

Loverainbow I was considering a private scan for £50 if I couldn't get a scan before the normal 10 / 12 weeks. It's so horrible waiting, thinking something is wrong, I've have bleeding and cramping for 3 weeks, waiting another 5 weeks along with hormones would have been too much! I think £50 is reasonable for a scan so you have peace of mind

howdoyouworkthisthing · 17/07/2017 11:51

Wintercookie good luck for tomorrow, hope it goes ok

Tidman thanks, can't tell you have much of a relief it is, I've had all sorts of complications over years, abnormal smears and lettz treatment without ever getting to bottom of anything and it's just a stress

LoveRainbow02 · 17/07/2017 11:53

@howdoyouworkthisthing Local scan clinic is offering reassurance scans for £49 so I was thinking of booking one for the end of this week. My gp thought I would get an early scan at my epu but I'm nervous to phone up and they think I'm over reacting.

howdoyouworkthisthing · 17/07/2017 12:04

@Loverainbow i know what you mean, and I'm really the kind of person to think 'if the gp is not concerned then it's fine I won't chase', so I was half expecting to be told to just wait when I went to see them. I didn't actually request a scan, I just told them what was happening and they decided. Hopefully you've got a good doctor / hospital and have faith in them making the right call for you. I feel pretty confident now with mine so just leaving things in their hands.

LoveRainbow02 · 17/07/2017 12:06

I'm going to call the epu today and if they refuse I'll just book a private scan. I wanted to hang off as long as possible for an early scan but I'm feeling so nervous and anxious that I think I'll book one for when I'm 6+1 and hopefully see a heartbeat.
