Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

Hi mum

First of all congratulations on your bfp! It sounds like you have had a rough time to get to this point. I wouldn't worry if you are not as far along as you think. The scan will measure the fetus and use that to date your pregnancy. If they don't find a heart beat, if it is too early, they will just have you back a week later to make sure the fetus has grown and you will probably see a heartbeat at that point. Good luck

issy2165 · 11/07/2017 17:40

I'm petrified I really want my scan to just be booked!! I have to see my gp on Monday and then get referred to a midwife! They joys of living in the middle of knowwhere!!

CatPearson2891 · 14/07/2017 10:11

Hi ladies,

My EDD is 18th March. Do you mind if I join this thread?

SophSoph92 · 14/07/2017 10:15

Ah @CatPearson2891 that's mine! does that mean your 4+2 too? :)

CatPearson2891 · 14/07/2017 10:24

I think I'm 4+5 ..... I haven't been to the doc yet and I'm sure I'll have messed the dates up somehow.

HazyDays81 · 14/07/2017 11:13

I'm at 5+1 today worked out my EDD as 15 March 2018. This is my third. Had 2 chemical pregnancies since ttc this time so still a bit on edge hoping this one is a sticky bean! Congrats to all on your BFPs! X

Clickncollect · 14/07/2017 11:21

Hi ladies
Congratulations to you all on your BFPs.
May I join please? I'm 4+2 today!
I have a chequered history - 1 natural bfp which was ectopic and tube was removed. 1 round of IVF resulting in 5 embryos. 1st embryo didn't work, went back for a frozen transfer and we transferred two, one took which is now my 13 month old DS.
We thought we'd try naturally for a few months before going back to the clinic to use up our remaining embryos but I've miraculously fallen straight away!!! Am really hoping this one sticks as I am not a lucky person and things like this don't happen to me.
Obviously I am used to medication galore through my treatment like Cyclogest and Progynova. Am nervous about trusting my body to do this without help. Is anyone on any medication?

Winterc00kie · 14/07/2017 12:39

Hello all,
I
Af was due yday and its a deffo bfp today according to the test!
just checked the calculator and apparently i'm due 22/03/2018!

I havent told DP yet. we are picking up a car to sell tomorrow and once the stress of that is sorted i'm telling him tomorrow night, he'll know straight away when i refuse to drink my saturday glass of red!

i also posted this thread below if anyone can help?

**I was due on yesterday and Ive had a bfp this morning (despite many faint tests since Tues) . I'm experiencing pains as above, they are not painful enought to need paracetamol etc but really uncomfortable.

I'm just extra paranoid due to 3 Miscarriages and 2 ectopics (1tube removal in october).

I have had 1 successful pg ten years ago but i've not really felt this kind of cramping before, especially around the thigh area?

anyone had this before?***

LynseyLou1982 · 14/07/2017 15:41

I'll join. Got my BFP yesterday. Due 14th March if my dates are correct. Are any of you ladies convinced your positive tests are wrong? I want to keep testing to make sure. Maybe I should just relax and stop reading endless Internet articles but I suffer with anxiety. Booked to see Midwife 4th August seems ages away. I'm not feeling sick yet just giant sore boobs and tired.

MrsL2016 · 14/07/2017 16:41

Hello to every one that has joined the thread today. I am feeling really hormonal today and other than some crampy feelings I haven't really has many symptoms. Finally stopped testing after a digital on Wednesday but still constantly checking I have started bleeding every time I go to the toilet.

Click, congratulations on your natural bfp, and so quickly too. I can totally understand why you are nervous, but it won't make any difference either way, so best to just keep your fingers crossed for a sticky bean.

Winter this is my first pregnancy so not sure what is normal pains etc and I can understand why you would be so anxious with your history, but I have had cramps and period type pains all week and most advice says it is just the uterus stretching.

Clickncollect · 14/07/2017 17:18

Thanks @MrsL2016, good sensible advice there.
@LynseyLou1982 - definitely recommend you don't keep testing. I've read too many stories where ladies (understandably) get stressed because the line looks lighter then wish they hadn't bothered testing (by the way, your user name is the perfect spelling of Lynsey in my biased opinion, if you know what I mean Wink
At this early stage, all any of us can do is sit and wait I guess! Is anyone planning on any early scans? If I'm not bleeding by 7 weeks then I will book one for then.

issy2165 · 14/07/2017 17:40

How can you book in for an early scan?

LynseyLou1982 · 14/07/2017 17:57

@click collect. Thanks there's so many ways to spell it but I like my two Y's Smile. Can you book an early scan when it's your first baby? Google can be a very dangerous thing sometimes. I'll try and limit myself to a sermon amount of 'Panic Googling' per day.

issy2165 · 14/07/2017 18:00

Haha me to!!!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 14/07/2017 19:07

Hey new ladies 👋
Course you can book a early scan for first baby .. you just need to find a good private clinic.. I'm booking one for 10/11 weeks before i go abroad for 2 weeks and I'll book a early gender scan for 16 weeks as i have no patience 🙈 they are only £50 at my local clinic xx

Marykate1987 · 15/07/2017 08:18

Hi all. Please can I join? I'm 6 weeks and 1 day on my first after trying for 3 years. I've just booked an early 8 week scan at ultra sound directSmile

issy2165 · 15/07/2017 08:29

I wish I didn't live in such a rural area! It's a nightmare trying to find somewhere! I'm getting horrible pains most of the time and it's really scaring me don't know whether to see if the doctor can refer me for an early scan seeing I don't know my midwifes number or anything!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 15/07/2017 09:01

Hey issy, if you are worried I would book a doctors appointment, just for reassurance if not anything else. I've been spotting for over 2 weeks now and freaking out, so went to docs Friday before yesterday, and have an early scan booked to see what's happening, I also got to speak to nurse at early pregnancy unit for a quick chat. I feel much better now, and would recommend instead of trying search Mumsnet or google for symptoms. Whatever happens at least if you have an appointment you can try and put worries out of your mind! Not that Mumsnet can't give you reassurance or advice. I've got my scan on Monday, I'm 6 weeks 1 day today, also I live in rural area, nearest hospital is 30min drive. I have had to chase the appointment as they didn't get back to me when said they would but got it now. So just gotta see what happens, I have a feeling I've miscarried but I'm just not thinking about it til I've had my scan. Long story short, go to doctors if you are worried about anything and I was told to only use NHS website for symptoms and advice xx

issy2165 · 15/07/2017 09:06

Thank you so much I will call my doctors on Monday and see someone!

howdoyouworkthisthing · 15/07/2017 09:10

Issy, honestly, you'll feel way better, hope everything goes ok and hope you're cramping isn't too painful x

issy2165 · 15/07/2017 09:12

It's fine it just comes and goes only lasts a minute maximum I'm putting down to my womb stretching or something and sex is 100% off the cards wow little bean really doesn't enjoy that!!

Tidmank · 15/07/2017 12:25

I found out I'm pregnant on Thursday! Totally unplanned (happy accident) so we are trying to come to terms with this huge life change! Currently only my bf and his sister know!
If my calculations are right I'm 6weeks +5 and due 5th March!
It doesn't feel real at all! I keep wanting to take tests so I can be sure!

I'm super tired, I've been really nauseous and had a few moments of dry heaving like I'm going to throw up! Ive been having cramps now and then which is super scary and also can't stop shivering!

I tried to get a doctors app but I have to self refer to my local hospital and I think I did the form wrong so I'm going to have to call them I think! I managed to get an appointment at the Drs anyway as I felt like I needed something in the diary!

Sorry for the ramble! I'm all over the place!

MrsW0812 · 16/07/2017 06:47

Hi ladies

I got a BFP this morning - I don't know what to feel. We've only been ttc since mid June so one cycle and it's done.

Also worried as I know first trimester is when things can happen etc. According to my app I'm due 20th march! In a way jisybwant to be three months already and it nearly 5 weeks!

MrsL2016 · 16/07/2017 08:52

Welcome Tidmank. I know what you mean about having something in the diary. It just feels strange to have nothing between bfp at 4 weeks and booking appointment. Ingot mine through yesterday and I will be either 9 weeks or 8+2 depending if I go off LMP or suspected ovulation (although I think they will go from LMP).

Welcome MrsW, I fell on my second month, so I know what you mean about trying to wrap your head around it. Hopefully we will have 9 months to do it.

issy2165 · 16/07/2017 09:28

Congratulations! I'm toying with the idea of having a private scan or not I'm so impatient!
