Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

@BlueeSpottyTiger I've got my eye on an iSafe pram system on Amazon. Going good to wait till January and see if I can get it in the sale. Had a look at some in Mothercare with my mum mum and dad as they're paying for it. Was shocked at how expensive the Silver Cross ones are.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/08/2017 15:56

lynsey That was the pram i got after i sold my first one which was silver cross.
Isafe seem so well made! I recommend! My mum and step dad bought it for us.
I don't have that anymore now though we have the Joie litetrax 4 in chrome. That's my fav pram so far.. I've put the Isafe away for my sister when she has a baby lol xx

Hello ladies, congratulations to you all on your pregnancies! I'm 9 weeks + 1, due 23rd March and it's my first pregnancy, aged 34 Smile

Had an early scan and am just starting to relax and believe it's really happening now that I've seen baby and heartbeat. Good luck everyone, looking forward to the adventure

TidmanK · 20/08/2017 13:35

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow and I'm feeling more nervous than excited! I'm just hoping all is okay and then I can start actually enjoying being pregnant!
At the moment it's just feeling sick and getting tired!

rider1975 · 20/08/2017 16:02

Good luck Tidman - 12 weeks is so exciting! My scan is on Wed - it seems so pivotal and it's all I'm thinking about

coastalchick · 20/08/2017 16:51

good luck ladies!

we had booking appointment this morning - all fine though they say I am at risk for a small baby so have to have extra scans!

Still annoyed my scan put me back over a week as feel am so far away from 12 week scan (5 weeks to go!) and puked at booking appointment.

So fed up of feeling nauseous and exhausted and have basically sat on sofa again all weekend (or been in bed). OH and I are usually out and about eating out etc but just feel so crap (and fat) all I want to do is sit on sofa!

TidmanK · 20/08/2017 17:14

@coastalchick It'll fly by I'm sure!
I've been on the sofa all day while my partner has been cleaning and tidying the flat all day
I'm feel very lazy!

coastalchick · 20/08/2017 17:37

@TidmanK - good to know it's not just me! Feel so bad I'm not doing anything (hung out one set of laundry and it did me in!). OH been painting garden fence all day! Our house is a tip and needs a good clean - will have to wait!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 20/08/2017 22:50

Goodluck for the scans ladies 💖🍀
I practically live on my sofa atm your not alone! I'm such a bad mummy and partner atm poor dp is doing everything.. and he lets me know it too 😐😂 xx

FuzzyOwl · 21/08/2017 10:15

Hey everyone!

great news I havent been sick since Thursday! Still got nausea and light headedness and tiredness but I feel i can cope with that aslong as i can eat! Thats me 12 weeks now Grin first scan isnt until a week on thursday but feel like a massive hurdle has been passed getting to the 12 week mark even though i have no idea whats going on inside!

Fran i ended up having to buy loads of different mini juices because i felt nothing would help with my thirst. hope it eases off for you soon its miserable during such a happy time.

Lynsey Thats terrible! they arent giving you much faith about trusting them to care for you and your child!

Hope everyone going for scans have an amazing time seeing their wee babies!

LynseyLou1982 · 21/08/2017 11:22

@KittyKat73 It's really frustrating. I've called my midwife again this morning. She is lovely and very helpful. She tells me she emailed them across all my details again last Wednesday and they said they'd get in touch with me. So far nothing. Anyway, she's given me the number to call them directly. At the moment no-one is answering the phone!! I'll keep trying. I'm not above going down there in person if I have to as it's only 10 mins from home.

LynseyLou1982 · 21/08/2017 12:15

Absolutely fuming mad. Rang my midwife who gave me the number for the hospital. After trying for an hour finally got through to be told they still haven't received anything from my midwife. Rang the midwife back and asked her to send it through again for the third time. The hospital said once they had it they'd call me with an appointment. I want to cry in frustration. I've messaged my OH and asked if we can just pay and go private again. It's £195 for the scan and the screening tests. I don't really want to because I do have faith in the NHS but time is running out.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 21/08/2017 12:59

Lynsey grrrrrrrrrr how frustrating!!!! I would feel the exact same and go private. How far exactly are you? You have until 13+6 for the combined test. Xx

LoveRainbow02 · 21/08/2017 13:17

@LynseyLou1982 It is shocking you are going through all this. Last thing you need is stress! As spotty tiger says you have until 13+ to get the combined tests done. I am shocked at how long you have waited. I had my booking in appointment at 7+4 and my 12 week scan date came through 2 days later which is really really quick.

LynseyLou1982 · 21/08/2017 14:32

Hi all wow what a last few hours. Got a call at 1:15 to go for my scan today at 1:30! My lovely boss drove me there and lent me money for the photos. I was a bit late getting there but they still saw me. Everything ok. 12w 4 days baby was hiccoughing, waving its arms about and sticking it's bottom lip out. It was amazing but I was really sad my OH couldn't make it in time (he works 35 mins away). Had the blood tests done so should find out my risk factor in 3 days if high risk or 7 if low risk. Nuchal measurement was 1.8mm so normal Smile will post a pic when I get back to work. So relieved feels real now.

SunyBay · 21/08/2017 14:35

Yeah, that's a disgrace. I got my appointments through not long after the booking in appointment. However, I was referred to a neurologist a couple of years ago and the hospital never got the referral ... twice. I had to chase it up several times. It was ridiculous.

Good luck, LynseyLou.

SunyBay · 21/08/2017 14:37

Oops, cross-posted. What a whirlwind! Glad you got your scan, and all's well with the little one. How stressful. Shame your OH couldn't be there, though.

Fran003 · 21/08/2017 14:38

Lynsey so glad you got your scan but so unfair the short notice they gave you!

KittyKat great news about the sickness! I hope mine goes soon too, seeing the consultant tomorrow so will ask her about tablets ( the ones GP gave me didn't work) I'm due back to work next week, I don't work the summer so hopefully it will have eased off by then

LynseyLou1982 · 21/08/2017 15:28

Here's the photo as promised (sorry if its wrong way round). Full on pouting going on. I reckon it's a girl Smile

BlueeSpottyTiger · 21/08/2017 16:45

Aww wow Lynsey beautiful pic :)
Such as shame your dp couldn't make it :(
Bet he is happy to see the pic xx

Our 12 week scan appointments take about 2hours in total!

LynseyLou1982 · 21/08/2017 17:22

Thankso BlueeSpottyTiger I think he was a bit annoyed but it couldn't be helped and I got lots of photos. At least he'll be there for the 20 week one which thankfully they let me book today.

coastalchick · 21/08/2017 18:19

@FuzzyOwl - would any of my friends on FB be able to see I've joined that group/posting etc?

coastalchick · 21/08/2017 18:24

@LynseyLou1982 - lovely photo!!! Def a girl if pouting!! And outrageous what you had to go through. x

@KittyKat73 - glad your sickness has stopped - there is hope for us all!!!

@Blueespottytiger - glad it's not just me, my OH banging on about how much he is doing too! I am in the chair for making dinner tonight. Thankfully its a Charlie Bingham's which have slung in the oven, frozen potato croquettes and frozen broccoli!!!!!

Anyone else finding work hell? It's taking me all my strength to drag myself out of bed in the morning and get myself to work, never mind actually do any!!!!

TidmanK · 21/08/2017 18:59

All looking good, they are happy it's healthy and doing well
It had a lovely strong heartbeat!
It was still when we started and woke up so was very wriggly! You could really see the hands and feet :)
