Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

Yes I was!! Because of the bleeding and cramps at weekend I have an awful feeling!
Despite having a abdominal scan 2 weeks ago.. this one was an internal one?
They only need to insert the probe about 2inch! Crazy!

KittyKat73 · 10/08/2017 15:57

coastal think ill need to try them see if they help! every so often i think polo mints help but not for long.

bluetiger aww the scan pic looks amazing! you must be so happy to see your wee baby growing!

coastalchick · 10/08/2017 16:41

omg you're going to laugh at this one - just called my fiancé in a massive panic and told him he had to get me to A&E as I was bleeding. Thought I was but (sorry for the TMI) I went to the loo twice this morning after having had constipation and bled quite badly from that. And it was just that - not from my foo foo!!!! I had to get on all fours so my fiancé could check it was from my bum! Omg, mortified!!!!!

On another note - great re the scan blue!!!

DaddysGirl36 · 10/08/2017 19:49

Hey all

So I woke up last night with some stomach pain but I was also majorly hot and nauseous. I took my PJs off and fell back asleep. No pain on waking. Just odd twinges and backache, feeling really sluggish and just a bit uncomfortable. The nausea is full on, only relieved temporarily by eating.

I'm wondering if the pain last night and uncomfortable way I'm feeling is down to constipation as I rarely go since I already suffer with IBS-C but can't take any of my remedies now.

Has anyone else been suffering with constipation and do you have the same symptoms? I know that twinges and backache can be normal anyway but does anyone have them specifically?

LoveRainbow02 · 10/08/2017 20:22

@DaddysGirl36 I was feeling very uncomfortable and achy the other night. Went to docs thinking maybe I had a urine infection. All came back clear. Turns out I was just constipated and now feel loads better.

coastalchick · 10/08/2017 20:22

Yeah I've had some twinges in my tummy which has been a combo of trapped wind and constipation!

Who are these women who love bring pregnant?! I'm very grateful I am but not loving it right now!

DaddysGirl36 · 10/08/2017 20:58

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I have an appointment with my IBS consultant in early Sept so hoping to get some advice. May be able to bring it forward if things get worse. OH is worried sick but I am remaining calm and positive. There is no severe pain at all.

In other news, since I got home from work at 6pm, I've had a bag of crisps, a full meal of gammon, chips and beans, nibbled on ginger biscuits and now I'm on my second bag of crisps. This nausea is a nightmare #fatty

BlueeSpottyTiger · 10/08/2017 21:24

Omg costal i have a mental image 😂 glad it was from your bum though! Xx

MrsL2016 · 10/08/2017 21:25

I have been having back pain that I think is related to constipation. I have never been very regular but this is much worse. It doesn't help that feeling full is the only time I don't feel sick, so I am just packing more and more food in. Something's got to give eventually, probably my trousers. On the plus side I have my booking appointment in the morning and pretty excited about it.

issy2165 · 10/08/2017 22:02

Went over my dads for dinner this evening and he surprised me with saying he kept my cot as a baby for me to have with my children!

Elspeth24 · 10/08/2017 22:30

@coastalchick that's hilarious!!! And a relief!!! God you have a good relationship with your husband for him to carry out that "inspection"! My hubby would never agree to that LOL!

My travel sickness wristbands arrived this afternoon and I honestly believe they have made a huge difference! I was even able to go for a 4 mile run this evening which in turn also made me feel fab! For an hour or so I actually forgot I was pregnant!!!! The wristbands were less than £2 off eBay, definitely worth a punt girls!

cometogether · 10/08/2017 23:47

Sorry if I missed it earlier, but do the wristbands make you feel less sick or just stop you from being sick?

I'm not sure why but for the first time today I felt like I wanted to cry all day. And even now can't sleep and just want to cry! Feel terrified of birth. Might go and get a toast.

cometogether · 11/08/2017 00:01

Okay, I've got toast and I'm reading the Christmas Eve thread which has made me excited about making Christmas for the future baby! Recommended reading if you're feeling a bit meh.

MrsW0812 · 11/08/2017 07:01

Coastal that is hilarious - I don't think I'd be able to get my hubby to do that! Glad it wasn't anything serious!

I'm suffering massively with constipation and tiredness - why doesn't anyone prepare you for this!! 🙂

This week I've also come down with a horrendous cold / sinus infection - going to drag myself to work today as been off all week and have things i need to do. I work for a charity and I feel bad that I'm off when the people we work with are in such a worse condition.

I keep hearing that the 2nd trimester is good - so roll on that! Just over 3 weeks for me until I'm 12 weeks and got my booking in apt on tues

Xx

coastalchick · 11/08/2017 07:04

@Elspeth24 - ha ha! I just told him that and he said "well, I did it reluctantly"!!! We're not married yet - there is still plenty time for him to back out!!

Glad your travel sickness bands work - a friend of mine recommended those too so might order some.

@issy2165 - that's so lovely! I know my mum has saved one of my dresses from when I was little so not sure if she's gonna be handing that over!

@cometogether - totally normal, I feel like that sometimes too. And it feels bad - some people (including friends) struggling to conceive and I seem to have (not had scan yet so could all still go wrong) flown through that part so feel wrong to be sad. But it's just hormones, keep telling yourself that. x

coastalchick · 11/08/2017 07:04

@MrsW0812 - that sucks - hope you feel better soon xx

Elspeth24 · 11/08/2017 07:30

@cometogether the bands have just stopped me feeling nauseous.... I've only been sick once so can't really testify to it stopping that but they've definitely calmed my sickness down and I was suffering badly this week so it's a nice relief! I even slept with them on last night :)

What's the Christmas Eve thread called?!

issy2165 · 11/08/2017 07:32

What brand of sea sickness bands were they I might try some!

coastalchick · 11/08/2017 07:51

just threw up twice. We were supposed to be having a bbq tomorrow but OH has just cancelled it as can't guarantee I'll be up to it. Bit annoying as he is out tonight and we were going to meet for lunch today but I probably can't face it. Morning sickness really does suck. B*gger all food in house either, and OH forgot to get milk on way home yesterday so have to go out either way. Pants!!!!

cometogether · 11/08/2017 08:29

Thanks coastal Flowersfeeling more normal this morning! Christmas Eve thread is called Christmas Eve Traditions and it's on the Christmas board (sorry to those not ready to see the C word yet). Off to order some bands!

coastalchick · 11/08/2017 08:32

why do we constantly feel wracked with guilt about everything?! I now feel guilty for cancelling bbq when I shouldn't as I can't think of anything worse than having to get up tomorrow and make sure house is clean, get all the food then be on sparkling form getting drinks etc tomorrow when I keep feeling and being sick!!!

ddegville · 11/08/2017 08:42

Right I'm gonna have to go into my savings and pay for a private scan. I'm so worried something is wrong! Every time my nausea eases a little I panic something is wrong! Where's best to get a scan done?

Elspeth24 · 11/08/2017 09:23

@issy2165 just the cheapo ones on ebay. They were less than £2 and grey. Make sure you follow the instructions how to position them on your wrist x

@cometogether omg I LOVE Christmas Eve, i am going to read through this as a little treat this weekend too

KittyKat73 · 11/08/2017 10:19

Coastal omg! what an eventuful day! but at least everything was ok haha! dont feel guilty at all! you are growing a baby inside you and having to live with all the symptoms that come along. you need to rest and relax there will be plenty time for BBQs in the future :)

Elspeth Im definately going to get these bands! my midwife did suggest them at my appointment but wasnt sure if they would work or not but after a morning of vomiting up bile ill do anything now!

Has anyone lost weight during their pregnany? im 10 weeks and 5 days and now lost 12 pounds over 7 weeks due to nausea and vomiting. I feel soo guilty and do eat when i can (last night i got a chippy when i had a window of no nausea!) i did mention it to the midwife and she didnt seem too concerned and suggested going to GP for anti sickness meds but I dont really want to take any medication unless absolutely necessary.

aahh pregnancy guilt where you think everything your doing is wrong Sad

FuzzyOwl · 11/08/2017 10:21

How is everyone doing? I have a scan later on and am feeling really anxious.
