Hi,

I just found out I'm pregnant with our first DC at lunchtime today.

Obviously very early days and anything could happen but thought it would be nice to have a little group who are due around the same month to share experiences and hand hold if needed.

Anyone around who is due in March?

@FuzzyOwl and @rider1975 - thanks for the reassurance. Would love to book a private scan but only just moved house and got loads to do on it so money is super tight at the moment. Trying to get the house sorted before the baby arrives. Seeing the midwife on 17th August so i'll talk to her then, just got to be patient.

@Elspeth24 - wow twins! My younger siblings are twins so it's not unknown in my family. First child for us so hoping it just the one in the oven Smile

Elspeth24 · 06/08/2017 07:10

@coastalchick nope definitely not showing yet! Thought I was 6+4 today but scan makes me 5+4 so still very early days.

Sunday is my one day for a lie in and I've been wide awake since 6am. In bed listening to hubby snoring away, sipping a can of ice cold ginger beer to stave off the nausea! Sleep is pretty rubbish this days, guess that's our bodies training us for when baby is here (or in my case, babies.... Eeeek!)

Morning everyone one. I am exhausted today after a 5.30am to 12.30am day yesterday at my best friends wedding. Felt that I hid the not drinking well and no one caught on, but I felt a bit like a party pooper being sober and far from energetic. I have looked through all yesterday's posts and caught up with how everyone is doing. My nausea has subsided a little bit too and that's worrying but i'm hoping it's just because these things come and go. I certainly don't wish for it back any time soon. We will definitely be finding out the sex if we can because I love to plan for things and don't really like surprises. And now my friends weddinh is over I am just looking forward to my booking appointment on friday.

DaddysGirl36 · 06/08/2017 10:18

Glad you got through the wedding MrsL. Luckily I don't have any big events during the first trimester, although I do have a hen do a month before due date and the wedding a month after birth so may have to drop out the hen do (it's a day/night away drinking in a city) and the wedding should be fine but I have lots of questions I can't answer such as: Will I be allowed to take little one? We've been allocated a room but do we still want to stay over now we'll be taking car and may need to leave earlier? How will I sort an outfit? First world problems eh? lol

@Elspeth - Waking early is definitely a preg symptom of mine. It happened during my last pregnancy, I couldn't sleep later than about 8 on the weekends which I hated but I figured my body needs to get using to managing on very little Hmm

issy2165 · 06/08/2017 16:32

4:30 and I'm still in my pjs this is how well today is going 😴😴😴

Bumpkin21 · 06/08/2017 18:24

@Elspeth - wow two of them!!
It's funny that we were both 6+2 and after scan got told we were a lot less... by my dates that would mean I got a BFP just 5 dpo, so I think dating by size at this early stage might be a bit questionable. I've now got one app set to 6+4 and one set to 5+6!

DaddysGirl36 · 06/08/2017 18:37

I've felt sick all day today, which usually just happens in the afternoons and I hope it's not the norm now. I've been for an afternoon nap and now I feel just as rotten. Haven't enjoyed a meal since yesterday either and so I'm just feeling sorry for myself. OH is doing loads for me bless him. I will die if this is the new norm and I'm like this at work. Bleurgh

LynseyLou1982 · 06/08/2017 19:22

I thought I was only just 7 weeks when I went for my private scan on the 27th July. They dated me at 8w+6 then when I saw the Midwife on Friday she put me at 9w+5. So I'm going with that. 10w+1 today. Is anyone else finding they are feeling really full at mealtimes after only a few mouthfuls? Cleaned the kitchen today and needed an hours nap afterwards. Otherwise still OK (touch wood).

FuzzyOwl · 06/08/2017 19:31

I wish I was still in my pjs. Even though I haven't done much, it feels like a busy day and I am ready for bed. Sadly I think this baby and the bouts of insomnia it is causing will get in the way of any early night plans I have.

BlueMermaid96 · 06/08/2017 20:25

Hi! I've worked out I'm due March 10th with the pregnancy due date calculator on here. Nice to meet you all!

Poptart90 · 06/08/2017 20:49

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and going for my first scan tomorrow evening, but I think I'm more nervous than excited, I'm terrified that it'll find something bad or nothing at all. Did anyone else feel like this before their first scan?

LynseyLou1982 · 06/08/2017 21:20

@poptart90 yes I felt exactly like you. I was terrified I'd imagined it all and they wouldn't find anything in there. It was so lovely and reassuring to see my little blob and hear it's little heart though. Now I'm waiting for my 12 week scan appointment and worrying about that.

SunyBay · 07/08/2017 08:35

Hi @BlueMermaid - welcome.

My first appointment is tomorrow. Yes, I'm looking forward to it, and but also worried that it won't all be all right. However, I'm trying to keep a positive outlook. I'm hoping that I'll be told that my lightheadness will go away soon - it's not too bad, but comes on without warning, which is making life a bit difficult. [sigh]

Good luck to everyone who has their scans this week! :)

Elspeth24 · 07/08/2017 10:52

@poptart90 yes I felt exactly like that! It's perfectly normal. I think we're now going to spend the rest of our lives worrying.

How is everyone coping with nausea at work? I just want to go home to curl up in a ball but having to pretend nothing is wrong. Hate it!

DaddysGirl36 · 07/08/2017 18:02

Welcome Bluemermaid and Poptart - Completely normal to be worried about the scan

@Elspeth - My nausea was terrible yesterday, from morning til night. Today it's been there all day but not as bad, it's best when I'm busy and keeping my mind occupied but at the minute my job isn't manic and therefore there's more time to feel unwell. Luckily I'm working alone so can nibble ginger biscuits in private. I just am glad I'm not actually vomiting. Oh and I'm also really tired.

Poptart90 · 07/08/2017 18:23

The scan went really well, saw the heartbeat and is measuring only 2 days out from what I thought (they're saying 7+5, I make it 8 weeks but I'm not too bothered over 2 days lol) thank you to everyone for their support :) xx

LoveRainbow02 · 07/08/2017 18:53

@Poptart90 that's great news 😊.

I have a free rescan at the private clinic I attended. I raised some concerns after they dated me 4 weeks but 8 days later the hospital dated me 7 weeks. Going to phone tomorrow to arrange a date.

I'm feeling very achy tonight right across my vagina. I know it's probably normal but still makes me nervous. Currently 8+3.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 07/08/2017 18:59

Elspeth i don't! 😥 I'm on my 3rd week of being signed off. I am really sick! Nausea.. dizziness and vomiting :( I had a phone call off the dr this morning as i have a UTI.. so that could explain my spotting, cramps and had back but I'll discuss it in more detail at my appt if i can get one tomorrow. the hosp took the sample 12 days ago so i must have had it a while. it's all making me feel really fed up which makes me feel bad as im so greatful to be pregnant!

Welcome new ladies 👋 and congrats on the scan poptart xx

BlueeSpottyTiger · 07/08/2017 19:00

Love thats good! I'm 8+3 too! Xx

LoveRainbow02 · 07/08/2017 19:13

@BlueeSpottyTiger Gosh you've had a rough time of it lately. Hope your taking it easy and get an appointment soon. Think I may call epu tomorrow if I'm still feeling achy. Just makes me concerned due to a previous mc 😔

rider1975 · 07/08/2017 20:14

Always great to hear of a good scan - congrats poptart
Oh no Blue sounds horrendous - hope it's a phase which will soon pass - poor you
All being well after my 12 week scan, I'm thinking of pregnancy yoga - bring on pelvic floor n not peeing my pants Grin

BlueeSpottyTiger · 07/08/2017 20:56

riderI pee myself so often when I'm sick.
Think i better wear one of dd's nappies 😂
Is this your first baby or do you already have children?

I like the look of aquanatal or whatever its called!?

I really want another scan but hopefully I'll have my 12 week one done alittle earlier due to being on hols for the exact 2 weeks they normally do them. I think i can hang on until then!

Sorry to hear that love Sad This is your little rainbow baby 🌈 I lost my last pregnancy 2 cycles before I concieved this one at 5 weeks which i know isn't far along but it really did hit me hard. Xx

BlueeSpottyTiger · 07/08/2017 20:58

rider i pretty much doubt it's a phase... I had hypermesis with my dd and I was like this until near enough 8 months..i think im done after this baby lol x
