I'm 4w5d and wondered if anyone else fancied joining me on the amazing journey to come?
First, second, third or fourth (or more!!) timers welcome!

This will be #1 after a long 18 months of miscarriages, infertility and heartache but i'm feeling super positive about this one and ready to enjoy the next few months!

Will give it a try 👍

Recommendation for spots... 2 aspirin in your hand, few drops of water and then break the tablets up to a powder, little water as possibly in it, add a little bit of honey, put on area with spots. Sounds random but has massively helped my skin in the past, and when I googled it if seemed to be quite a popular treatment for it!

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 10:06

Loving the spot cure @boopdoop :)

I don't seem to get sickness in the morning but weirdly got it at night. Like being sea sick. Or drunk!

Also decided to stop testing. May do a clean blue digi to see if we hit 3+ yet but other than that...am going to stop! It's like an addiction though. Any other obsessive POAS-ers want to join me?

I was being quite obsessed doing lots of tests, have tried to stop myself. Had a tiny spot of blood the day after we found out, which happened last time, except last time it turned into a mc. This time no more so pressuring all fine but have an early scan next Friday, and they've said to do a test the day before, so I've saved my last pt for that, and trying really hard to not use it!!!

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 10:23

CL1982 I'll join you! Think I will also do one more digi to check progression late next week though.

Where is everyone on telling people? I am pregnant after iui treatment so a few people knew about it and I'm probably going to tell those few people - with the understanding they need to keep quiet

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:03

@kerryleanne84 it's really hard. I talk to my mum about all this and since we've been through 3mcs and a clomid cycle I'm used to chatting very frankly with her about all this. It's killing me to not tell her and she has absolutely smelled a rat but her and my dad were so disapointed when we told her last time for us that I don't want to put them through it again. We have this scan in 2 weeks so we may tell them then but if we're going to wait until 7 weeks we may as well stick it out to 12 and tell everyone!

Yes we're doing a digi tomorrow. I just about beat the control on my B&M test today so hoping it'll be 3+ by now. Then no more testing. I'm not even sure If it's worth testing pre scan as I think we'll be getting to the hook effect stage by then (we'll be one day shy of 7 weeks). I may just wind up freaking myself out!!

P.s great news on the IUI :)

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:05

@boopdoop I know that feeling!! I may just use all the tests I have and be done especially now my ICs are as dark as the control.

Anyone else have weird light cramps that come and go? They feel a BIT alike I need the loo. Which I think is what they are! Still...not a huge fan of them!!

OP posts:
KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:14

@cl1982 completely get where you're coming from with your mum. It's just so hard isn't it

I did get a positive at 12dpo and still getting them at 19dpo but my test line isn't as strong as the control line - pic attached. Do you think that is bad? It's probably another reason to stop taking tests - I have read that not all women get darkening lines

Anyone just found out they're preggers and want some buddies?
SheSaidHeSaid · 01/07/2017 11:18

I've been having weird cramps too CL1982 , they seem to have mostly stopped now but yesterday I kept worrying I had misread the test and I was about to get my period.

I did a clearblue this morning and thankfully it came up positive too though...and the cramping has died down a bit too. Yay.

My parents are on holiday until something like 9th july. It's my mum's birthday on 14th so will definitely be seeing her then, so will tell her and my dad then. My DH wanted to tell his mum yesterday and I've just about managed to get him to hold off until mid July too. Honestly though, I wouldn't tell anyone that early if it wasn't for the fact my DH can't keep anything from his mum but I also don't want his mum (and then family because she also can't keep her mouth shut) knowing much before my mum as I know she would be hurt by that.

SheSaidHeSaid · 01/07/2017 11:21

From what I've heard, a faint line just means it's early in the pregnancy. So you wouldn't expect it to be as strong as the other line.

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:22

@kerryleane84 I shouldn't worry-It really depends on your hormone levels and the tests. My cousin who is a gynae also said some women's HCG is slower to grow than others. Which brand test is this?

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:24

Thanks guys - just been googling it again and there are tons of women who don't see a dark line till later than 4/5 wks. This one isn't an acutest but I got pregnant 1-2 weeks on a cbd when it was 13 dpiui plus all the symptoms I've been having - got heartburn right now lol!

I have been having period like cramps too, apparently it's v normal and due to the increased blood flow down there. Hot water bottle helps a lot ❤️

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:25

Sorry, IS an acutest

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:26

@shesaidhesaid it's really hard!!! Part of me kind of thinks 'well, I am being confident this pregnancy so why not tell them now' and the other part of me is actually weirdly enjoying the subterfuge. Blush I can get away with the not drinking by claiming it's on the orders of my doctor but other stuff is tricky! My friend is a. gP and told me. It to worry about food etc until 7/8 weeks so just sort of rolling with it! I did tell my desk partner yesterday as my intonation was so bad and I was so tired and he's a doctor!

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:27

Stupid q but how long are you dipping it for? Is that the co-op brand?

OP posts:
KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:35

I did this one yesterday in the stream so didn't dip it, I think around 5 secs.

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:36

Oh and yes I got them from the co op

CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:47

So my advice is dip it. And do it for a nice long slow 15 seconds (do the 1elephant2 elephant thing). It makes a huge difference with the cheaper tests. I stopped doing the whole mid stream thing a few months in as you get more control and a better result dipping.

OP posts:
CL1982 · 01/07/2017 11:48

P.s try again today with an hour or twos hold. I think it will be darker...

OP posts:
KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 11:53

Thanks lady, will do! It's funny how you never imagine that actually getting pregnant will open the door to even more things to worry about! Confused

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 12:37

You were right CL1982 - just took another and though not fmu, much darker

Anyone just found out they're preggers and want some buddies?
CL1982 · 01/07/2017 12:40

Yays!! I do all my tests dipping. Much better results and more easy to control what you're doing Grin

KerryLeanne84 · 01/07/2017 12:50

Thank you for your advice! I really need to stop freaking myself out 🤦🏻‍♀️
