HA! PinkB- my DS was just the same with his pooing habits! Used to sneak of and get a pull up to poo in... 2 weeks of stickers for doing it in the loo and a buzz light year were his downfall- but not until he was nearly 4.

KitKat30 · 17/04/2007 14:41

OMG Greedy!!! I almost believed you then!!! Glad to hear you're feeling better though!

Just have been at home, and visited my mum for a bit too. Nothing strenuous - just a week lazing around really! Thought I'd better get some rest in while I can!!! Saw the midwife yesterday and my blood pressure is up a bit so I have to go back next week... hardly surprising I had high blood pressure as she spent most of my appt on the phone to someone else!!! Grrr

Hi PinkB, nice to hear from you! - your DH's new job sounds fantastic. It's always stressful for the first few months, but he'll soon feel like he's been there forever. You get so used to working for the same company that you forget that there are better things out there!!

Chooster - definitely come down to London for a few days! I live in the city and my most favourite thing to do (still) is go see a show and stay in a lovely hotel in the centre of town. You can get some really great deals in top hotels on lastminute.com. And there's so much for kids to do down here - loads of free museums etc. Or what about Bath? My second fave city... Can you tell I'm a city girl through and through!!!

Hello to everyone I've missed!

my ds didnt like pooing on the toilet either! must be a bit scary for them to suddenly have an exposed bumhole after feeling a nappy against it for so long. luckily it only took him till he was 2.3 to overcome his fear! just as well as he did (and still does) poo about 4 times a day! dd is the same! pinkb you might breed big babies, but i breed pooing machines!!!

nice to have you back pinkb! and you said WE could chat!! WOW! that was a long post! i had forgotten you were on no. 3 too! how old are your dss?

firsty - you are on no. 3 too really aren't you? i was eight and my sis was 10 when my brother was born and according to my mum all we did was mother him! she said we were a great help though, so when your baby is born you will be able to put your feet up and relax!

Feeling abit better but still faint, over did it today I think and still no G-pigs, as doctors to get form, hospital for blood test (should have th results in 48 hours), a nip into town and nipping to the shops for something for tea, had realy tuck it out of me, wasn't in no mood to get G-pigs today. As for the hamster I brought it when it was about 6 weeks old and that was 2 weeks before DS#2 b-day which is in 8 weeks time so it was "JUST 2 yrs old", poor thing, did it really have to die in the half tream selfish thing!

honeyapple · 17/04/2007 19:32

Gosh babymad- I thought they lived for at least 3 yrs.... I better start priming my DS for the hamster's possible demise .

Kids have just been eating Camembert cheese- and I WANT SOME!!! Took some VERY strong will power to resist.

Good to see you back KitKat and PinkB! Hope you had good Easters - I know what you mean about being glad that they are back at pre-school though PinkB... How exciting you are going to find out your edd... Kitkat, you still haven't told us where you've been! Was it so terribly exotic that you can't tell us for fear of making us all very ?!!!!

Chooster - no bright ideas from me for your weekend yet I'm afraid... although I second Firsty's suggestion of getting to the coast, providing the lovely weather is going to hold out.... Hey, this is a wild suggestion, could you find anywhere that you could HIRE a campervan for the weekend, and go off and have a lovely adventure? Are these guys anywhere near you (sorry, my Scottish geography is no good!) Just a thought anyway.

Morning to everyone else, better go and get my act together and actually DO something with the day. First off, get DD dressed....!

Bodkin · 18/04/2007 09:57

Christ, I've just seen the rental rates Chooster - don't look, it's very scary!

Bodkin · 18/04/2007 10:03

this is a bit more like it

gosh, sorry , I'm gettting very carried away now....

KitKat30 · 18/04/2007 10:43

Morning guys

Bodders it was completely unexotic!!! I thought I said where we were...? Doh pregnancy brain... we didn't do anything exciting, stayed at home for part of the week and then went to stay with my mum for the rest. Very dull indeed!!! But really relaxing...

Anybody not been sleeping well? I've not been able to sleep well for weeks now and last night was just awful, nightmares too really are horrid ones as well, ones that you dare not go back to sleep too, woke up this morning from one at 4am couldn't not get back to sleep got so upset over it too, also had in the last week bad cramps in the legs in the middle of the night I remember them from DS's but why do we get them, any one else had this too! 15+2 and counting till this LO is out really really not enjoying any of it DS#1 I was fine loved most of it, DS#2 50/50 this LO hated every minute so far! Soz, I really do sound like a complainer

Bodkin · 18/04/2007 12:35

Hugs Babymad - you sound like you need a good moan - that's what we're here for! Not getting the leg cramps that often, but every now and then. they were much worse when I was pg with DD. Bad nights are a killer aren't they. I am getting a bit of insomnia - wake up for a wee then can't get back to sleep. STill, I guess it's nature's way of getting us used to broken nights again....

Kitkat - aww, sounds lovely anyway!

Afternoon ladies. Well as you can see I am so excited getting my date that I felt the need to post it twice just so you don't miss it!! So, it's exactly two months today (or 8 wks on Monday). Found out today that baby is breech too which I have suspected for past few weeks (big lump in same position all the time is indeed a head!)
Greedy - yes this is no. 3 for me - ds1 will be 8 in two weeks and ds2 is 3.7.
Babymad - sorry you are struggling with this pg. I too have been having problems sleeping for quite a while now and do have quite a lot of nightmares - I know it is v. distressing (((hugs))).
Where has our lovely weather gone?? It's so cold outside today (though lovely and windy to dry all my washing). My bf flew off for a short trip to Rome this morning with her mum where the weather is apparently 26 degrees and glorious - how am I???

PinkButterfly · 18/04/2007 13:13

Hi Firstar - feeling fine about it (though sure as it gets closer I will become more nervous re spinal block and stuff but all worth it in the end). Glad to now be able to think about childcare and organise the time I know I will be in hospital etc. Glad the date is at 39 wks and not 38 as could have been the case so gives us an extra week to play with and make sure we have everything ready. Not even entertaining the possibility of spontaneous (sp?) labour beforehand!!!!

greedyforbabies · 18/04/2007 14:03

babymad - make sure you stretch out your calf muscles before you go to bed every night. just a regular calf stretch (the lunge type, do you know what i mean) and hold for 30 seconds on each leg.
..............sorry.......that was the bossy chiropractor in me coming out! if you do get the cramps just pull your toes up to your head to strech the calf muscle or leap out of bed and do a lunge!

pinkb - i am very jealous of your close due date! you will have no.3 before you know it!!!

bodders - you are good to choostre aren't you? i am thinking of setting you a challenge for me! maybe you could sort out my extension for me so it will all be over by the end of sept!

Bodkin · 18/04/2007 14:09

Good advice on the cramps, Greedy - cheers for that, will give it a go. Now, your extension, let me seeeee...

Chooster - really hope your DH goes for it and it all works out. Whaterver you decide to do, I'm sure it will be lovely just having some quality time the three of you.
