Good news Brenna x

Louise159 · 27/06/2017 16:57

Can I ask @Breanna24 what the progesterone helps with? X

peachgreen · 27/06/2017 17:08

Oh @Brenna24, fantastic news! A good day on this thread. Here's hoping tomorrow brings good news too.

Brenna24 · 27/06/2017 17:14

Progesterone is the main hormone upregulated in pregnancy. Helps your body prepare for and keep the baby and keeps our cervix shut and is thought to reduce the likelyhood of bleeding.

Louise159 · 27/06/2017 17:26

Ah thanks, I never knew that, also fantastic news bet it's such a relief.

NoParticularPattern · 27/06/2017 18:13

That's great news Brenna and Bean. Hoping your good luck rubs off on me and Louise for tomorrow!

Brenna24 · 27/06/2017 18:16

Everything crossed for you both. And for Haz's 20 week.

mogulfield · 27/06/2017 19:01

Fantastic Brenna and bean, those little seedlings are trying to scare you both! Glad all is ok Smile

MrsAlanPartridge · 27/06/2017 19:16

I lost the last however many threads, so it's been a few months since I have posted! Now 37 weeks so counting down to delivery.. having to self inject fragmin due to age and parity.. not pleasant but doable.
Lots of the old faces from here must have already popped I guess.
To all those in limbo and or early days, hang in there Smile

AmyB1986 · 27/06/2017 19:19

@MrsAlanPartridge I remember you from the ttc thread along time ago. Glad you're ok & 37 weeks wow not long for you

Hazandduck · 27/06/2017 19:19

Ah that is brilliant @Brenna and @Bean! I know like you say @Brenna you aren't past the stage you reached last time yet, but each pregnancy is different, my midwife tells me a lot that each one is a new baby and won't be the same as the last. And each day is a little victory especially when you have a positive scan. Fingers crossed it continues positively, and @pattern and @Louise will be thinking of you both tomorrow.

I've been growing my nails for a few weeks but my nervousness today has made me gnaw them all off, bummer. X

yellowfrontdoor · 27/06/2017 19:26

@Brenna24 @beanhunter such a relief for you both!

Good luck for tomorrow @NoParticularPattern and @Louise159 will definitely be sending you positive vibes

Good luck @Hazandduck for your 20 week scan. Sorry if you've already said & I've missed it, but are you going to find out what's you're having?

TootsyBella84 · 27/06/2017 19:36

Ah I'm so pleased for you Brenna and Bean!

Good luck Pattern and Louise with your scans tomorrow.

Good luck with your 20w scan tomorrow too Haz

16 weeks tomorrow for me. Still doesn't feel quite real yet. I really want my 20w scan in hope it will make things feel more real and I may finally announce, still waiting on my letter for my date though. I need something to count down to!

peachgreen · 27/06/2017 20:09

Haz I've bitten all mine off too! Blush

yellowfrontdoor · 27/06/2017 20:18

How are you doing now, Peach?

peachgreen · 27/06/2017 21:06

yellow I'm okay, thank you for asking! No more bleeding or cramping so I'm just trying to relax. Plus I'm still dry-heaving dozens of times a day so I guess that's a good sign! Booking in on Friday, which is further than I got before (MMC was found at 11.5 weeks but baby was only 6.5 weeks growth so they had delayed my booking in appointment a couple of times).

peachgreen · 27/06/2017 21:07

How are you, yellow?

JCleRoux · 27/06/2017 21:12

Oh there you all are! I've been wondering if there was a new thread! Glad I found you! Thanks @SayItIsntSo1

Been wanting to find out how @NoParticularConcern is doing since the slight bleed last week Friday.

Good luck for tomorrow @mamabear4. Fingers crossed that everything is ok.

I know how you feel @AmyB1986. I havent been in the mood for ages and am beginning to feel a bit guilty to be honest. I am feeling a little better these days and slowly getting the mood back. DH will be happy to know when he comes back home on Thursday...

I am ok all in all. Took my DC to legoland this past weekend and I went on a few rides with him. Been having some sharp cramps and trying not to drive myself crazy thinking about it all.

@Brenna24 have you tried some prune juice? I have it so much now that I don't even find it gross anymore.

Hope everyone is ok xx

Brenna24 · 27/06/2017 21:46

Hi JC.

I have had all bran with prunes. I warned the midwife today that i should therefor be considered an unexploded bomb. Grin It seems to have done the trick. I am no longer an unexploded bomb and I feel a lot better. DH has had yet another good laugh at my expense. I didn't really think I would need to go quite that far having eaten largely only fruit and vegetables for days, but needs must and all that.

Hazandduck · 27/06/2017 23:39

Oh god @brenna I have suffered with that lovely symptom too! Especially in the early days I actually thought I needed to go to hospital the pain was so bad, then I went to the loo and it went Blush
Thanks all for your lovely messages. @Yellow my OH is adamant we won't find out. I don't really want to know but it is tempting!
How many weeks are you @JC? I had those sharp pains at about 15-16 weeks, I think it was stretching?
@Peach it is so annoying isn't it! I don't even know I've nibbled them off til they're gone!
To all waiting for results and scans tomorrow, I hope you get some sleep tonight and don't lay awake worrying like me. I do feel like my little one tries to reassure me; the night before my last scan (I was 14 weeks) I was so nervous and awake at 3am and felt baby move for the first time, these weird bubbles popping. Tonight, baby has been going nuts and I actually managed to capture it on my phone, and OH felt it kick for the first time. I really hope this is a good omen. Roll on 2pm tomorrow x

DancingUnicorn · 28/06/2017 07:05

Oh haz that's beautiful! Must be such a nice feeling for your oh! Really hope everything goes ok today.

yellowfrontdoor · 28/06/2017 07:07

Other than almost constant nausea (some days are better than others) I'm ok thanks Peach.
I'm definitely feeling worse this time around, which I'm taking as a good sign!

Brenna24 · 28/06/2017 08:44

Good luck today Pattern, Louise and Haz. Everything crossed for you guys.

DancingUnicorn · 28/06/2017 09:01

Is it normal to feel guilty? I feel guilty that I'm excited for my new pregnancy, as if it somehow lessens the loss I feel for my old one. And I'm guilty for still thinking about my old pregnancy and wondering what that would be like. It's all a bit of a mind bend.
