Hope you're ok

DancingUnicorn · 15/07/2017 06:56

Thank you all so much. I'm 7 weeks, so still pretty early. My midwife works weekends (booking will hopefully be next Sunday!) so I can call if things get worse. I'm going to try to just ignore for now! Feel like I probably overreacted a little!!

halloumisandwich · 15/07/2017 07:09

Impossible not to overreact /stress after all we've been through though, and that's what we're here for! I'm glad there's no more, and you've talked yourself down x

peachgreen · 15/07/2017 14:21

@DancingUnicorn I had spotting at 6+3 (quite a lot) and 8+4 (just a little bit) and baby was perfect at last scan (11+1). Can't wait for the private one we have booked for next week when I'm 13+5 - will be such a relief to know that we made it past 12 weeks.

minniemouseears · 15/07/2017 14:28

Hope everyone doing ok feeling awful can't keep my food down today (liquids staying down if I sip) not sure who mentioned watermelon a few days ago but thanks from me I've been attempting small nibbles all day and mostly it's staying down 😊
Dancing could you have a uti? Hope your ok don't think the panic will leave us till we are holding healthy babies tbh I have 5 already and mc before they came along so I'm not sure the panic ever leaves I think it's just replaced by normal parenting panic everyone gets regardless🙈

mammabear4 · 15/07/2017 20:08

Hi ladies just checking in, I've been a bit of a lurker recently! Not much news from my end apart from continuous nausea and vomiting :(

dancing I had so much bleeding early on in this pregnancy, once so much I was in town and it soaked through my jeans - it turned out to be a hematoma. You're not silly or overreacting to be anxious, it's so understandable, really hope you get some reassurance soon. Major hand hold - bleeding doesn't always mean the worst. Flowers

minniemouse how far along are you? I'm 15+1 today, wondering if the sickness will ever let up. Was on this thread over 2 months ago praying for sickness to start and now I'm praying for it to end!! Ffs.

Also a massive thank you to whoever suggested watermelon it's my absolute go to. Too much water is making me sick, but I'm thirsty all the time - it satisfies both hunger and thirst and I've (so far) managed to keep it down. In face major hugs to whoever suggested that it's been a lifesaver!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

minniemouseears · 15/07/2017 21:03

*Mamabear I'm 7 weeks ish had terrible sickness with all my pregnancies but ginger nut biscuits and sips of sparkling water are not working this time around 😱. My sickness with all of them eased around 16-20 weeks

minniemouse oh no I completely sympathise. With my DD I had 2 weeks of nausea from 8 - 10 weeks and then was absolutely fine. Oh how lucky I was and I didn't even realise! I would be like oh yeah had really bad sickness eyeroll

Really hoping it lets up soon - have heard around 16 weeks. FX. I'm thinking the fact that it's twins is worsening matters.

Anyone got advice on paracetamol? I constantly have a dry mouth and a banging headache but I'm drinking SO much water. I've been taking 2 tablets before bed and 2 in the morning just so I can get to sleep properly/wake up and function! I really don't want to be taking more than I need but these headaches are killing me.

Is it just me who feels like they're having a never ending hangover??

mammabear4 · 15/07/2017 21:39

Utter how are you and your twins doing? You're really not far off me dates wise if I remember rightly?

Miami81 · 16/07/2017 08:57

Mamma
I have been having headaches as well. Have upped my water, but also my reflexologist worried that when I kept saying I felt hungover that my electrolytes might be out of whack. So some extra salt and sugar (been having one small glass of apple juice or just a pink lady apple) seems to have helped a lot. My wee was almost completely clear when I was having the worst headaches so definitely wasn't dehydration. Maybe worth a shot??

Lifeofpies · 16/07/2017 09:09

Hi all, may I join? I've been searching for this thread in antenatal boards and wondered why I couldn't find it! So glad it's still going, and hope you're all doing ok.

I'm 6+3 after a MMC / ERPC last year. Not feeling very hopeful as I've been doing digital tests to reassure me (haha) and whilst they're still saying pg, they've been stuck on 2-3 weeks for 11 days now. Will see if I can get an early scan this week.

Brenna24 · 16/07/2017 09:10

Oh yes. Watermelon has been a lifesaver for me at times over the last couple of weeks.

I have had headaches on and off too Mama. Thankfully mine seem to subside at night and let me sleep. Could you try getting some 4Head? It is a menthol stick you rub your forehead with and can be much more effective than paracetamol for some types of headaches.

Brenna24 · 16/07/2017 09:10

Hi Pies Welcome. I hope you are with us for a long time to come. Flowers

TeaAndPjs · 16/07/2017 09:40

Welcome pies

I'm worrying that I'm being set up for another loss! Barely any symptoms at all (esp compared to my 2 pregnancies that have been successful) and tbh this is how I knew something was wrong last 2 times but I do have more cramping this time and feeling rough most of the time! I need to stop worrying

DancingUnicorn · 16/07/2017 09:58

It's very hard tea. I've had no symptoms really at all. Been feeling a bit weak and pathetic this weekend, just hitting 7 weeks. This morning have woken up with sore boobs and thrown up. I think sometimes it's just playing with our minds. I can completely empathise with the worry though. I'd really love to have a scan every day tbh!

DancingUnicorn · 16/07/2017 09:59

Hi pies. Hope this is a perfect sticky one! I've read those tests are notoriously not accurate. Try not to let it worry you, though I know it's really difficult!

Lifeofpies · 16/07/2017 10:09

Thanks so much for the welcome Flowers

Yes finding it hard to interpret symptoms/lack of symptoms too- I think it's just hard to trust your body and your brain after a loss! I feel like I did with both my successful and unsuccessful pgs...

Sorry about the headaches too, are rehydration sachets safe? I can't recall. But they're great at getting electrolytes sorted.

AmyB1986 · 16/07/2017 10:20

Morning all hope you're all ok...

Welcome @Lifeofpies

@TeaAndPjs the symptoms I had this pregnancy were completely different to any of my other pregnancies and I was positive it would end badly. I had HG with all the others and felt retched the entire time. This time I've had bare minimum, it's really really worrying but proof that each pregnancy is completely different.

26+3 now and what ever the sickness was had now gone away and been replaced by a horrid head ache. I've tested my urine and bp at work all normal nothing out of the ordinary causing it.
The sinus infection has cleared up too but I still can't unblock my nose. I can't smell or taste anything. The gp has now said it's more likely to be pregnancy rhinitis. It's putting me off eating anything because it all tastes like cardboard unless it's really sweet. Everything else there's nothing to enjoy ☹️
On the plus side, my annual leave has now started. DH is at work today then off with us for 2 weeks too. Bring on the decorating

peachgreen · 16/07/2017 10:22

Welcome pies! I definitely had more early symptoms with my pregnancy that ended in MMC than I did with this one (12+6 today). But I completely understand the worry. I honestly don't think I'll stop until I can feel the baby kicking - and of course providing it doesn't stop, ever, haha. Hope you can get an early scan to reassure you.

TeaAndPjs · 16/07/2017 10:42

Tbh I think I'm just worrying for the sake of worrying but can't help it! I have a scan booked for 24th then again the following Monday

EmFe · 16/07/2017 14:40

Hello everyone! Just read all 19 pages and thought I'd join the anxiety. Had BFP Thurs (very faint) but confirmed on digi this weekend.

Ever since miscarriage at beginning of year my cycles have been longer so I think I ovulated late (possibly a worry in itself?)

Boobs have hurt less since BFP so just generally worrying about everything! Also had a tiny bit of discharge which isn't even brown just tan coloured but enough to panic about!

Wish we could just feel that excitement and joy on BFP instead of entering a chapter of fear! :)

EmFe · 16/07/2017 16:23

PS - this is really random - but I have taken to eating a floret of raw broccoli every time I get anxious about it! Only a little bit as I'm sure too much of anything is bad but it makes me feel healthy and in control afterwards!

SayItIsntSo1 · 16/07/2017 17:09

Hello Emfe, life and tea. Hope you find the thread a good support.

30wks tomorrow here and very ready to be counting down the days and weeks. After a couple of weeks of not feeling as massive I now feel huge again Confused. Couple that with an ill DD and DH the last few days and I am knacked!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and any scans and appointments this week are positive!

Hello, I very briefly joined the ttc after mc thread and today got a BFP. Not sure what the due date will be as I haven't had a period since my last miscarriage. Hopefully all will go well with this pregnancy although I hate the anxiety it all causes.

I was on this thread back a years ago, after my first miscarriage, and found it such a great support.
