That is amazing Amy. I remember when you had given up all hope and now look where you are.

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 10:00

Hi ladies! I've been on here before but can I join again (cautiously)

Found out this week I'm expecting no3 after having 2 MMC and a chemical since October. Both losses were trisomy 16. Just hoping all is well this time round

Hazandduck · 14/07/2017 10:43

@Brenna I agree, it is amazing seeing how far people come, that's what makes this thread so wonderful, it sees you through awful dark days, but also through the happy times too.

@Teaandpjs Ah so nice that you are back here, it doesn't feel like long ago you were on here. Sending you support and tentative congratulations xxx

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 10:53

Thank you hazand I wasn't expecting to be back for a while but this was a wee surprise, we were you g to wait a while before ttc again bit were a bit lax with contraception

Brenna24 · 14/07/2017 11:02

Wecome back Tea. Fingers crossed this is the one for you. Flowers

This baby is channeling it's inner scot today. Porridge for breakfast and haggis and neep toastie for second breakfast.

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 11:03

Oh I'd never think of putting thay in a toastie but it sounds amazing

Brenna24 · 14/07/2017 11:18

It was Grin

mogulfield · 14/07/2017 11:23

Congratulations tea welcome back.
I loveeeee haggis Brenna, I ate it all the time when we lived in the Highlands, I miss it. Might have to make do with black pudding today!
Anyone else have symptoms coming and going? Mine are milder today, sore boobs and sickness seems to have gone mostly, I should be 10+4. Wondering whether to bother the midwife to go for a scan? Felt quite sick and tired yesterday. I'm so worried having had a MMC

I am currently having one day of being incredibly nauseous to the point of just lying in bed curled around a basin sweating profusely and being unable to even watch anything on iplayer, then one day of being mostly ok. Background nausea, but nothing that can't be handled by extra food. I had a couple of spells before it settled down to this where the nausea disappeared for a couple of days and made me twitch, then came back with a vengence.

AmyB1986 · 14/07/2017 12:52

@Brenna24 & @mogulfield my nausea would come and go, think I said that before but I can't remember 😖

I seem to be suffering with morning sickness again now! I've managed to clean upstairs in the house through spells of nausea this morning. I can't be arsed to do anymore downstairs so it'll have to stay a shit hole until I feel better!
One more shift at work then I have two weeks annual leave. The plan is to have a huge clear out, decorate the girls bedrooms and babies nursery the first week then have fun and visit family the second week.
Yesterday my tiny nephew came home from hospital, his bigger brother had already been home for 3 weeks. 7 weeks in the nicu has done wonders. Still both boys shouldn't be here for another week though!

peachgreen · 14/07/2017 13:37

@Brenna24 Totally not being judgey as I think the NHS guidelines are overly cautious and am 100% supportive of a woman making her own choices while pregnant but just wanted to double check that you knew that haggis contains liver which isn't recommended during pregnancy. Unless it's delicious veggie haggis of course! Mmmmmm haggis. Only mentioning it in case you didn't realise. I ate cold goats' cheese until 6+5 because I didn't realise it wasn't allowed!

How's everyone doing? My nausea seems to be slightly subsiding at 12+4 (although having said that I was REALLY sick last night) but I laughed too much over my lunch break and am left with a very sore tummy! Oh dear.

Brenna24 · 14/07/2017 18:05

Thanks for the heads up. It is ok. You can't have much liver as it contains vitamin A and too much can be an issue, but a little bit is ok. You just have to be incredibly careful not to overdose on vit A.

TeaAndPjs · 14/07/2017 18:25

I didn't realise you had to be careful with haggis, learn something new every day tho good yo know I don't need to avoid it completely

mogulfield · 14/07/2017 18:33

brenna amy its good to hear your symptoms came and went as well. I'm feeling very tired now so a little more reassured.
peach you can have goats cheese if it's made with pasteurised, and not raw milk. It is quite hard to find though, I managed to find some in France 2 weeks ago which was a triumph! So I think that's why they say not to, because 95% of it is unsuitable.

peachgreen · 14/07/2017 18:43

Ahh that's good to know, thanks Brenna! Might treat myself to a cheeky wee bite in that case! Yummy.

Brenna24 · 14/07/2017 18:54

It is a minefield isn't it?

DancingUnicorn · 14/07/2017 19:06

Feeling incredibly anxious this evening. Had a bit of spotting when I wiped earlier. Nothing since, but a bit of cramping too. I'm pretty terrified tbh. Haven't really had significant symptoms to know whether I've lost them. Desperately hoping everything is still ok.

DancingUnicorn · 14/07/2017 19:06

I say 'still' ok, but I don't really know if it's ever been ok.

JCleRoux · 14/07/2017 21:00

@DancingUnicorn here to hand hold. When everyday is filled with anxiety the last thing you need (especially on a Friday evening) is to see a little bit of blood when you wipe. I'm crossing my fingers that it's nothing and that you are ok Flowers

Brenna24 · 14/07/2017 21:25

Hugs Dancing. JC is right - Friday evening has to be the worst time to see anything not right at all. Such a long time to Monday. We are all with you. I hope all is well.

DancingUnicorn · 14/07/2017 21:27

Thanks guys. No more since. It was one tiny spot. Hoping it's all still ok in there.... Currently lying in bed watching tv.

halloumisandwich · 14/07/2017 21:50

Oh dancing i'm sorry you're having a stressful night. Try not to panic if it was just a tiny bit, it could be so many things. Hope you're still able to enjoy your weekend. Big hugs xx

peachgreen · 14/07/2017 22:21

@DancingUnicorn How far along are you? I'm sure it's nothing as it was just one wee spot - more likely to be cervix than anything else. Hand hold from here.

mogulfield · 15/07/2017 00:19

dancing I would be worried and annoyed it happened on a Friday. It is probably nothing to worry about, easy for me to say.
Can you call the midwife at the weekend? Mine has given me a number for weekends.
The cervix can get irritated by the smallest thing and bleed a little Flowers
