Glad to hear it minnie I'm started to get more excited about my 12 week scan now, just waiting for the letter to tell me when it is Smile
dancing that's a bit full on of the mw, I know they want us to bond but for us it's a defence mechanism not to get too attached too soon. I'm trying to feel reassured thought that I'm 10 weeks with some strong symptoms so fc this time!

DancingUnicorn · 13/07/2017 07:13

Last time was my first pregnancy, in her defence. No way for anyone to know that baby was already dead at that point. :( I have the same midwife this time, she was lovely so I'm hoping she'll be good about my extra anxiety.

My symptoms are still limited, and now nearly 7 weeks. It's so scary.

halloumisandwich · 13/07/2017 07:40

That glamour article made me cry too brenna, it all rings so true.
I'm 10+6 today, a day after I MC before, so into uncharted territory (and constant knickers watching). Scan is on the 25th and i'm terrified there'll be nothing there.
I'm with you on the limited symptoms dancing, my mum isn't helping either, I called her last night and she asked 'how are you feeling, any nauseua?' I said 'waves of it now and then but it's not been too bad' and she said 'hmm, we'll i guess we'll see' like she's already written off this pregnancy too. That combined with a comment about how it's much more difficult once you're over 30 (which a) is rubbish and b) i'm 32, hardly geriatric) has really narked me off. I think I'll just avoid calling again for a while!

DancingUnicorn · 13/07/2017 07:47

Oh, that's pretty annoying! I'd probably avoid calling for a while too!

Yes, last time I got a lot of 'nausea is a really good sign'. Didn't work out that way for me. Of course, I'm terrified because my symptoms aren't as bad as last time, but I'd be just as terrified if my symptoms were the same as last time!! Lose lose!

Brenna24 · 13/07/2017 10:29

Great news Minnie.

Good luck Halloumi. I am now just passing the time when my longest surviving pregnancy got to - but I didn't know Rowan had died for another two weeks - so I am kind of feeling a little bit heading into uncharted territory. As long as the scan on tuesday says all is well then I will be further on than ever before. I am quite nervous already about tuesday. Your Mum is not helping at all - p.s. I am 39, so you are years younger than me and my midwives still rate me with a good enough chance.

Sweetyboo · 13/07/2017 11:28

Omg @AnUtterIdiot me & you same day. Im 16w on fri

beanhunter · 13/07/2017 11:40

At epau. Vomiting super bad today so need to see if I can get some extra antisickness. I literally can't keep water down today so guessing they will have to do a vaginal scan as bladder def not full.

DancingUnicorn · 13/07/2017 13:57

Brilliant news about the scan bean. Here's hoping the new meds kick in.

mogulfield · 13/07/2017 14:05

Congrats bean how fantastic Smile I'm in London today for back to bck meetings (live 3 hours away), and I'm utterly exhausted. 1 2 hour meeting to go, I don't know I can summon the energy to walk there!! Confused

Brenna24 · 13/07/2017 14:30

Great news bean

Urgh Mogul that sounds like my sort of hell.

minniemouseears · 13/07/2017 17:51

Yay bean so glad all went well

Hazandduck · 13/07/2017 20:26

@Brenna thank you for sharing that article. Very moving and described exactly how I've felt at various times x

AmyB1986 · 13/07/2017 22:12

@beanhunter so glad your scan went well and they've given you extra antisickness tablets.

@Brenna24 I read that article the same morning you shared the link here. She summed up the feelings perfectly. Found the article moving and relatable.

26 weeks now, all I want is pancakes! Baby had shifted positions and movements feel less than they were but still frequent. Reading my notes my placenta is anterior and high so that could be why. I'm only really feeling strong kicks down low and a few little punches above my belly button now and again when she's changed round to facing out.
I allowed myself to buy a couple of outfits when I went to Asda. I think they went in and out of my trolly 10 times before I thought stuff it just buy them!
Dd's felt kicks the other day too. She punched both girls hands off my tummy, dd2 cried and dd1 jumped up and was dancing.
I am absolutely massive and keep getting comments like 'not long now' and when I say I still have 14 weeks to go I get asked if there is more than one in there. Nope definitely just one. Getting uncomfortable already
