Grin JC. I am in scotland. It has been about 15 degrees all day. Staying cool is not that big an issue. I am however eating watermelon like it is going out of fashion. I have eaten half of one since yesterday.

Hope you are coping yellow. Youa re so much in my thoughts.

AmyB1986 · 07/07/2017 20:48

@JCleRoux I've just got back from work, work in a residential rehab nursing home. It's super hot in there feel like I've been dunked in something sticky and wet right now! Not coping at all grumpy and tired.

@Brenna24 15 degrees is about the perfect temp for me. I love cool weather.

25+1 and have a sinus infection which isn't helping with the heat situation either! I thought it was a cold coming but turns out not to be. Left nostril and sinus are blocked completely and have pressure round my eye and a mega head ache. Nothing is coming out when I blow my nose either. Tmi it does when I sneeze and it's luminous green with blood in it. Belly is growing larger by the day too, swear I woke up this morning and I've popped even more. Fundal height is measuring 28 weeks but that's because she is still breech and dancing on my bladder almost continually.

JCleRoux · 07/07/2017 22:43

Watermelon is such a good idea in weather like this!

@Brenna24 15 degrees is a little too cool for me Smile I don't mind this weather too much

Oh dear @AmyB1986 I am sorry about your sinus infection.

I am feeling so restless lately and I don't know why and tired but can't sleep... I have my 16 weeks (I will be 17 weeks) check up on Tuesday afternoon and I am so glad it not too far away now.

I am going to find watermelon tomorrow. Hope everyone is has an uneventful weekend

Is there a heat wave? I, like Brenna, am not getting it (in Northern Ireland), although it's a nice day out there. I'm working anyway though!

Ouch @AmyB, a sinus infection can be so completely draining. Can they give you anything for it? I had one that went undiagnosed for a couple months (because I stupidly refused to take time off work), then I nearly collapsed and had to go to the doctor while visiting my mom in the US (and pay for it!). My bp was through the roof (for me), so if you haven't seen a gp you probably should, seeing as bp in pregnancy is a big deal. Take care of yourself! X

Miami81 · 08/07/2017 08:48

Waves at Brenna - also in Scotland. I'm east and it has just been so muggy. I would prefer hotter but less humidity. Feels like just the worst when it's not even that warm but even walking to the shop makes you feel like you need a break.

Brenna24 · 08/07/2017 10:58

How is your DD doing Amy? Did the antibiotics help? You poor soul. I hate sinus infections. I hope you get well soon.

Waves to Miami. East coast here too. It is muggy here too. Thankfully we get a good sea breeze as well though. At last the air is moving, even if it is humid.

DancingUnicorn · 08/07/2017 11:04

South of England here. Warm and sticky.

Just reaching the 6 weeks milestone, and lacking many symptoms. A little nausea seems to be creeping in, which is actually a relief. Have convinced my dh to let us get a private scan in a few weeks to try to alleviate my anxiety, which has been fairly bad this past week.

Thanks utter. I'm trying very hard to not compare to previous pregnancy (when all was almost certainly fine at this point). I think I'd suffering significantly less, but I'm probably just misremembering and remembering the worst I felt before. And then at the same time I'm reminding myself that it didn't exactly end well last time. Really hoping everything works out.

AmyB1986 · 08/07/2017 12:24

@WLMcI I've got an appointment booked on Monday to see my gp. He'll probably just give me some antibiotics to try and clear it. My whole nostril is burning today right up at the top. I think if it would actually drain it would feel much better, nothing is coming out though.

@Brenna24 dd is back to her normal self now, the antibiotics worked and she hasn't complained again since. Thanks for asking 😊

@DancingUnicorn As others have said, symptoms at 6 weeks were bare minimal for me too. I had sore boobs and occasionally felt nauseous. The nausea kicked in properly around 7-8 weeks but it was also accompanied by gagging. That was all I had until week 15. Gagging at the most inappropriate times and sometimes for no reason at all.

Trying to clean the house today but the heat is getting to me. Sweating buckets. Waiting for DH to get home from work so he can help me a bit. Mr perfectionist takes double the time to clean anything though! Not a bad thing when you need sunglasses to go in the bathroom after he's buffed the tiles to the point they gleam and blind you.

somethingfromnothing · 08/07/2017 12:36

I've just had some spotting. And the clear blue test said 1-2 even though I should be 5 weeks tomorrow. So it looks like this is shaping up to be our fourth loss Sad

anxiouscrazycatlady · 08/07/2017 13:06

Oh somethingfornothing I'm so sorry to hear that. Are you able to call your EPU? Is the spotting red? I've been brown spotting for a while and have been told that's ok.

DancingUnicorn if I were you I'd get a private scan, I know they're a lot of money but I think worth it. I went for one last week after a bleed (the hospital wanted me to wait a week) they found a heartbeat which was good. I had a bleed before my miscarriage before and I wasn't able to focus on anything until I knew either way.

DancingUnicorn · 08/07/2017 14:47

Thanks Anxious. I have just booked one actually. I'll be 8 and a bit weeks. Hoping it will help to calm me down and lessen my (already ridiculous) levels of fear about having to go back into the scanning centre for my 12 week. (Assuming, of course, that I make it as far as either!)

I'm so sorry something. The weeks display are 2 weeks behind automatically, and are known for being unreliable. I really hope it's not what you're thinking. But obviously, I understand your fear. Thinking of you.

peachgreen · 08/07/2017 16:49

@DancingUnicorn My symptoms hit me like a truck at 6+4 and haven't let up since. But up until then I had absolutely nothing!

@somethingfromnothing Could your dates be off? If you ovulated late, or implanted late, could you be 4 weeks? In which case the test would be accurate.

Tbh I absolutely hate those tests, they cause no end of worry - HCG can vary so, so wildly. I believe over 200 is the threshold for those tests to show 2-3 weeks whereas HCG levels in week 5 can be anything from 18 upwards.

I had spotting at 4+4 and 6+3 and everything was fine. Really hoping it's the same case for you.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. I'm coming up to 12 weeks and honestly can't believe I've got this far. Symptoms are worse than ever though - I though sickness was supposed to peak at 10 weeks but mine is definitely worse by the day. And now I also have a near permanent headache. Still, I'm so grateful to have got this far.

Brenna24 · 08/07/2017 17:32

Hugs to Dancing and something. I hope all is well.

We went to the beach this afternoon as the temperatures got up to about 20. An hour of lying in the sun doing bugger all somewhere different will hopefully do wonders for my mental health and vit D levels.

DancingUnicorn · 08/07/2017 18:00

Aw, thanks everyone for the reassurance. I need to keep reminding myself that this is a different pregnancy. I'm feeling pretty calm about things today.

I'm sorry the sickness is getting worse peach. Sounds awful. I'm with you on the headaches. Could you be dehydrated? Hope you are holding up ok.

Brenna the beach sounds wonderful!

JCleRoux · 08/07/2017 22:50

Hugs to @DancingUnicorn. I reckon it's still early days and the scan might reassure you.

I'm sorry @somethingfromnothing. I hope it ends up being nothing. Annoying how these things happen right in the middle of the weekend when you can't even go to the EPU for an emergency appointment.

I've had a lot to eat this afternoon and my stomach looks I've had a few big lunches in one sitting. Think I should take it easy tomorrow.

peachgreen · 09/07/2017 09:05

@DancingUnicorn I thought it could be dehydration too so I drank BUCKETLOADS of water yesterday and no dice. But then I read an old thread on here and someone recommended caffeine for a second trimester headache (within your daily allowance obviously) so I had a Diet Coke and it disappeared! Apparently something to do with widening your capillaries or something? Anyway it's worth a try if you're also suffering!

DancingUnicorn · 09/07/2017 09:08

Oo, interesting. I seem to have woken up feeling a bit better, so I'll try to hold out! But definitely interesting to know for later on!!

Hi ladies. I hope you're all doing well?

We've just got back from a private scan (I'd forgotten about the fact that they offered me a free one after the one last time where we discovered the eventual miscarriage). It was amazing to see how much baby had changed in the last week and a bit. Looks like a proper baby now! Very surreal to see baby moving around but not be able to feel it. Starting to allow myself to get a bit excited now. Feels a lot more real!!

minniemouseears · 09/07/2017 17:33

So today the nausea and tiredness has kicked up a gear.... Hubby beginning to get on my nerves a bit wrapping me in cotton wool but it's really stressing me out i due to work nights this week and he's been reading about night shifts and increase in miscarriage but has obviously read only the scare stories not the fact that it's flawed evidence. But he's really stressing me out not sure what he's expecting me to do exactly aaaghAngry hope everyone doing ok
