@Anxious I know that feeling so well :( you just want to put your life on hold and not go any where just in case. Could you take your notes with you and just keep them somewhere safe?

It was bad news for us. There was no heartbeat. I'm absolutely devastated, we both are.

I just saw straightaway. Perhaps 20 seconds into the scan & said to her 'there's no heartbeat is there?' And she said 'well, I'm looking really hard'. I lost it totally. They must've heard me sobbing in the waiting room.
I'm booked in for surgery after the weekend.
You ladies have been such a support, I really truly hope I'll be back on the thread one day.

@yellowfrontdoor you poor thing, I'm so sorry. Take all the time you need to recover and know that we're all rooting for you.

@peachgreen The parentcraft classes are combined with each antenatal check-up, so it is in the health centre (although not the hospital where I will give birth). I'm also an immigrant to NI! My MIL knows literally everyone though...

Thank you mogulfield and Hazandduck, I just want to cancel all plans and stay close to home but I can't really. The hospital gave me my notes when I was in this week as I said I was worried about going away. I've still got a bit of brown spotting and I remember this is what happened last time and I hate the thought of not being at home if it happens :(

28+3 here and starting to feel under prepared. I had a call from the HV today to book in the pre baby appointment, which seems really early. We can hardly get in to babies room as it's full of stuff while the house is in a state. We're staring down the barrel of 4 weeks without a kitchen... Glad to be in to the final stretch of the pregnancy but each day still holds its own anxieties.

yellow look after yourself, I know there's nothing I can say but I have experienced that heart breaking moment, and it's just so very sad. It makes me very nervous of scans now.
Make sure you cry all you want, rest lots and take your time.

bean I hope the cyclizine kicks in soon for you, if you still feel awful then definitely ask for something else. I started off on Cyclizine but after being admitted for IV fluids they started me on Ondansetron alongside the cyclizine and it really has turned things around for me. I have my crap moments but no sickness at all anymore which obviously makes a massive difference. Hope it settles soon for you x
