I just got my BFP on the 9th June, and I'm calculated due 18th Feb 2018. Anyone else with similar dates out there who'd like to share the ride?
Current symptoms are tender, larger boobs and mild, intermittent 'cramps" In my left abdomen (more like a poke than a cramp!).

We'll ladies I've been feeling quite smug about not too many symptoms - just a bit of acid reflux and constipation... but the last few days have got me down.

I'm 11 weeks and went to the docs today because I have awful pain in my lower pelvis (pretty much my urethra) - it's very painful when walking/moving or when lying in bed. It kept me awake for hours last night.

I constantly need the loo - there's no discomfort when peeing just the other pain when moving. Doc tested me for a UTI and all clear.

Doc said it's something to do with my lower pelvis that's only going to get worse as baby gets bigger.

If it's this painful now, I don't know what I'll do for the next 29 weeks 😞

cakesandphotos · 17/07/2017 20:33

Oh Sadie that sounds unpleasant! My friend had pelvis pain in her last pregnancy and she really struggled. I hope it improves! 29 weeks is a long time!

I also felt smug as I've had no sickness but I just feel bad all day. My tummy feels like I've swallowed a lead balloon and I have a constant headache and blocked/runny nose. Isn't pregnancy glamorous!!

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 17/07/2017 22:00

Sadie , pelvic girdle pain? Just wondering as I had it during my last pregnancy...

Mrstobe90 · 17/07/2017 22:56

Sorry to hear that Sadie! I hope you feel better soon!

Sah2241 · 18/07/2017 16:40

Hi all. I'm a bit late to this thread but I'm 10 weeks today, due on 14th Feb (this will be my second child). I'm just wondering how many weeks you were/will be when you have your dating scan? I'm in Northern Ireland and phoned today as I hadn't heard anything, and they said they have a bit of a backlog and I'm likely to be around 15 weeks before I have my first scan. That feels like ages away!!! Especially as I am just starting to show, so it is going to be really hard to hide at work for the next 5 weeks!

cakesandphotos · 18/07/2017 16:59

Hi @Sab2241! Welcome Smile
I'm having a scan on Thursday at 9+2 and then I'll book my dating scan when I'm there. Probably for about 13 weeks as we're away before that. 15 weeks is really late! Can you afford to pay for a scan privately? I think I would want to be able to tell people before 15 weeks! Also it's good to know everything is progressing well Smile

Sah2241 · 18/07/2017 19:47

Thanks @cakesandphotos! I had a little bleeding early on so I did have a scan at around 6 weeks and all was progressing as it should be, so I have a bit of reassurance from that. I'm just not sure my patience will hold out until 15 weeks!

Anna2006 · 18/07/2017 20:06

15 weeks seems really late. I know they can't do certain measurements for the testing etc for the syndromes past 14 weeks but I know not everyone opts for that. They can do a blood test instead I think.

Some place seems seem to do scans quite early like 11 week + something. My area they book you in for 13+2 nearly every time.

Sah2241 · 18/07/2017 20:32

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! I might call it them back and see if I can get in any earlier, otherwise will look at a private scan.

sadie2017 · 18/07/2017 20:46

Sah2241 my scan will be at 13 weeks and I thought that was late - 15 weeks sounds really late. Can you call and see if they have any date changes?

I can't wait to get mine to know if all is okay. This waiting game is dragging x

sadie2017 · 18/07/2017 20:50

Thanks for the messages yesterday ladies.

I've read up a little on pelvic girdle pain and that definitely sounds like what might be affecting me.

Those of you who have experienced this before - have you felt that it's made you want to go to the loo? I constantly fee like there is pressure in my pelvic area that makes me want to pee 😔

cakesandphotos · 19/07/2017 12:23

I have an early scan tomorrow. I'm slightly nervous! Confused

poppylou27 · 19/07/2017 13:58

I'm getting that feeling @sadie2017 but I don't have any pain I just feel like a heaviness/pressure on the opening to my lady parts, nothing relieves it and it's so uncomfortable, constantly just want to to hold my crotch and it makes me want the toilet.. I've been drinking cranberry juice incase there's any infection but haven't got any other symptoms, just the uncomfortable feeling all the time!

Awww @cakesandphotos that's lovely? How far along are you?

Xxx

poppylou27 · 19/07/2017 13:59

@cakesandphotos also, I understand the nerves completely - I've numerous scans and not yet 12 weeks - it's going to make you feel amazing when you see what's going on inside there Grin

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 19/07/2017 15:23

Good luck for tomorrow cakesandphotos. Will be thinking of you!

sadie2017 Yes, it started off a bit like that. It tends to be pain in the front and/or back of your pelvis and it can also hurt around your hips and other joints. I guess it does sort of feel like needing to pee to start with, as it can feel like downwards pressure in the front of your pelvis. I would go back to your doctor and try to find out if that's really what they think you have or if it might be something else.

If you do have PGP, I would suggest getting organised to see a physiotherapist sooner rather than later. I would also recommend a Serola support belt - it feels a bit bulky to wear but my physio recommended it last time and it made a huge difference. It sort of... holds everything together where your muscles/ligaments aren't. I had pretty bad PGP last pregnancy and I think the combination of seeing a physio/the support belt actually stopped me doing some quite serious damage to myself.

cherryontopp · 19/07/2017 21:16

I'm 10 weeks 2 days and my symptoms seem to have faded. No numb pelvic pain or nausea.
I am getting more stitch like cramps however and also cramps up my foo fooBlush

Anyone else had this?

cakesandphotos · 19/07/2017 21:35

@cherryontopp I think symptoms do come and go. I always panic when I have a good day and then it always hits me again. What were your symptoms? I still have occasional cramping although not as bad as in the beginning. Do you have a number for your midwife? It would be worth giving them a call

SophieLL · 19/07/2017 21:49

Hello!

Very new to Mumsnet and this board - but I'm pregnant with 1st baby and believe I'm due Feb 23rd/24th! Scan on 18th August.

Been feeling very sick and tired with sore boobs for a few weeks - but finding it hard to allow myself to think about it all. Does anyone else feel this way? So worried that I'll MC or get bad news at the scan - so I'm finding it hard to allow myself to be excited? Does the first scan settle nerves like this or am I doomed to worry throughout? Hmm

sadie2017 · 19/07/2017 22:19

SophieLL I've felt exactly the same - It's perfectly normal as you wait for the scan to confirm all is well. My scan is on the 31st July and time is really dragging. Me and hubby are obviously over the moon but not getting too carried away yet - we can't think of anything but getting this scan done. We both still can't believe it and I guess won't feel real until we hear the little heart beat 😃

sadie2017 · 19/07/2017 22:20

SophieLL plus I re-do the odd pregnant test now and again just to make sure the line is still positive - silly I know but it helps give me a little bit of reassurance x

RS123 · 19/07/2017 22:39

Hi, huge and bloated here! Ate pasta and seems to have been a bad idea 🙄 Someone pass a pin! Cherry do you mean stitch like cramps in your stomach/womb? I get them in my side or buttock - and aches in my womb but also have a UTI so latter may be that (on antibiotics).

RS123 · 19/07/2017 22:41

I chickened out and had a private early one which was incredible - cried. Wait to 12wks still seems like ages.

SophieLL · 19/07/2017 23:13

Sadie2017 Thanks for the reply! Glad it's not just me! Pregnancy tests make sense - but worried I'll get a bit addicted... might just do ONE tomorrow... Grin

RS123 Am very tempted to do the same...

Mrstobe90 · 19/07/2017 23:27

SophieLL I'm exactly the same! I've already had an early scan and having another tomorrow (I've been getting some spotting on and off) but still can't wait to get to the 12 weeks! I don't dare get excited, just in case!
I already feel like I've been pregnant forever! Praying and hoping that baby is ok

SophieLL · 20/07/2017 10:42

Mrstobe90 Hope you have a great scan today!!
