Sorry you're feeling rubbish Sophsta and know what it's like when you're not really sure what you fancy to eat and then when you decide on something don't really want it when it's made. Getting better now at 15 weeks though, hopefully you'll not have this problem for too long either. I've got a major cheese craving though - think this is down to avoiding dairy for 2 years, as DS has a milk allergy and reacts to my milk, but he's growing out of it, so I've given into my cheese fancy :)

bakingmad83 · 27/05/2017 21:24

And Bella, I'm exactly the same, wake with a hangover after a couple of glasses of wine. I blame it on avoiding alcohol in pregnancy and never really bothered with any the first year of breastfeeding (although nothing stopping you, just didn't fancy it).

BellaMoon · 27/05/2017 22:10

we made it out the house today for a whole hour! i went into a huff (hormones) and DH said he'd drop me off and go back out about our errands. just as he dropped me the rain, thunder and lightening kicked off so we stayed in. i have had what i can only explain as a hangover feeling since 12 today. i'm wondering if it's because i don't eat as soon as i get up then when i realise i'm hungry it's too late, my system has fallen out with me and decides to make me feel terrible for the rest of the day. does that make any sense?

DH just fell out with me because i requested a dominoes pizza (bear in mind i have had zero interest in food) so he ordered it and i ate 1 slice and a bit of crust. obviously iv turned this around to be his fault and he's currently sucking up to me as i am not ashamed to admit, i cried when he pointed out the waste of food. anyway, today was a right off. i had a 2 hour nap and i'm ready for falling asleep again!

will definitely try to eat earlier tomorrow morning to see if that makes a difference.

glad i'm not alone on the alcohol front @bakingmad83 i was a great partier 18-30 but i think someone would have to pay me top dollar to party now! #suchanoldfart

aw @Sophsta sounds as tho your day went the same route as mine! hope the pasta itself was nice #imissfood

Roseandbee · 27/05/2017 22:46

Bella ive read you should keep some dry crackers or something near your bed, its a good idea to have the just before you go to sleep and as soon as you wake up, little an often helps me when i feel either slightly nauseated or the fatigue. Todays prob been my worst nausea day and that could be down to the fact i hardly ate.

well i picked yesterday of all days to end up in A&E with no air con, me and the baby are fine btw. Id been to the docs about my left sided pain and she said it was completely normal and nothing to worry about. Sods law i get back from the docs and i wipe and see blood (nothing too major just light brown) but i think ill phone the EPU and see what they say as don't want to wait till the weekend for it to get worse as they'll be shut till Tuesday I wasn't really that worried at this point. As soon as i mentioned the left sided pain the convo ended and they said we cant see you, you need to go straight to A&E.
After 6 hrs waiting in A&E they said they can't scan me cos the EPU is shut and because my resting pulse rate was high and they had concerns about ectopic i had to stay in over night for observations and to check my hcg had gone up in the morning.
Im gonna give myself a pma badge as i managed to not spend my night there worrying about ectopic, I just felt confident for some reason it wasn't that and it was going to be fine. I got discharged later this morning and even managed to get scanned in the end, so i 100% know its not ectopic now and baby had a heartbeat:) although slightly worried as I'm pretty certain I'm 6 weeks and the scan put me at 5 for size, although the fetal pole and heart rate was there which from my googlings is more likely at 6 weeks. Might still do my private reassurance scan in a week or so and see what they say.

bakingmad83 · 28/05/2017 08:11

Rose, sorry to hear you ended up in A&E, but great all is well and you stayed positive :) Hard not to worry when an early scan places you behind where you think you are - with DS I had an early scan due to bleeding and it said I was 6 weeks exactly, I thought I was 7, so that made me worry, but by 12 weeks scan he was back on track size wise. I think perhaps in the early weeks it is less accurate for dating, why they choose 12 weeks as most accurate time?

BellaMoon · 28/05/2017 08:59

wow @Roseandbee hats off to you for your PMA stance. from what i read, early scans (5-7) weeks can be off for measurements. i hope the pain buggers off asap. please tell us you are taking things easy xx

Sophsta · 28/05/2017 09:13

So glad everything's ok roseandbee, sounds really worrying so well done for the positive attitude! I've also heard that early dating scans can be out, and you saw a heartbeat! That's so cool!

Moo31 · 28/05/2017 19:39

Aw @Rose so sorry you ended up in a&e but glad everything is ok :)

Yes @Bella I found that I was worse on the weekends as I woke up, and with nowhere to go (ie work) I farted about and was late eating breakfast by which time the nausea had kicked in and it was too late. So I started to have breakfast as soon as I got up and then eat every 2 hours to keep it at bay! Have you read about the 6 mini meals? I tried to do that!

@Soph - I had a big aversion to fruit and veg until week 12 but am more than making up for it now! Liquid is more important on the first while than food so make sure you drink plenty even if you can't manage much food.

Moo31 · 28/05/2017 19:44

@Amanda well done for lasting to 11.30 that's the middle of the night for me these days!! 😂 as others have said I remember feeling "wet" alot, panicking, going to the toilet and it was cm!

I've had a busy weekend - helping my cousin move house yesterday with her 2 dc (3 if you include her husband!) and today my mum and i went to a national trust property where they have jazz in the gardens, took a wee picnic and some non alcoholic cider and enjoyed the sunshine!🌞

I'm not off tomorrow but I hope that anyone who is has a lovely bank holiday! 😃

AmandaP86x · 28/05/2017 20:18

Aww @Roseandbee u wee soul. How worrying but I'm sooo glad everything is ok!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am absolutely shattered and I have the food thing lol I pure don't know what I want 😭

My boobs r still tender but then they get so sore then it wears off again 😏 like I don't feel much else. No really sickness or anything apart from like in the middle of the night if I wake up.

Absolutely shitting myself for my scan on Wednesday 😭

bakingmad83 · 28/05/2017 22:08

Sounds like you had a lovely day Moo!

Hopefully you'll feel reassured after your scan on Wednesday Amanda, tiredness and food aversions are a good sign even if other symptoms are mild/come and go.

Stayed 2 hours at the party with DS this evening, as there was a children's entertainer, bouncy castle and ball pool, so he was too busy to realise he was tired. Plus he wanted to wait for the food to come out - a good sign he's on the mend :) Not quite so good were the 2 bump touchers at the party. In fairness one did ask if she could touch first, but the other said "Well, you can't help yourself when there's a bump to touch can you?" Hmm, yes, I think you can when it's on someone else's body Hmm

Guess I'd better get used to it. Only had one person touch my bump last time at 25 weeks, but I was tiny throughout last pregnancy, so probably going to get a bit more attention this time round!

Roseandbee · 28/05/2017 22:12

Thanks Ladies:) and thanks for the encouraging words about the scan measurement.

Amanda i'm really not getting much sickness, the most i got was in the morning at the hospital as Id only really managed to get lunch in the day before. Ive certainly not been anywhere near sick enough to throw up.
Think my main symptoms are fatigue and bloating, boobs aren't overly sore but they have grown a bit, oh and also don't know what I want to eat. So think we sound similar and the doc was pleased with my scan, Im sure yours will be fine.

Oh I also have serious baby brain, at A&E they were nagging me for a pee sample, I was bursting to go anyway but was having to wait for various examinations. Finally get a chance to go, so off I plod with my stupidly narrow container (they are like the size of a glue stick, must've been designed by a man) finally get to pee (ahhh!), then remember about the container, #missionfailed lol

Roseandbee · 28/05/2017 22:15

glad your DS is on the mend Baking. I don't know how I will feel about bump touchers #watchthisspace. I certainly wouldn't try to touch anyone else's unless they volunteer it

Moo31 · 28/05/2017 22:35

I dont think I've ever touched anyone else's bump unless I've been told to - as in "quick, they're kicking, have a feel" Or "feel how hard my bump is" I don't know how I feel about people just having a random feel but I don't think I like it!

That's great you and ds enjoyed the party @baking :)

BellaMoon · 29/05/2017 07:07

morning ladies 😘😘

regarding bump touching - no no no! only if invited and even then, i feel like it's such a personal space issue. i might change my mind as i bloom but who knows.

have any of our 2nd trimester ladies had any kicks/butterflies as yet?

it'll be wednesday before you know it @AmandaP86x can't wait for you to see your little buddy 👶🏼

sounds like sheer bliss @Moo31 i had a weekend indoors but well spent with DH. nice and relaxed after my huffy pants mini tantrum on saturday morning.

well today marks 10 weeks gone for me. on 1 hand it's dragging in and on the other i feel like the last 6+ weeks have gone in a flash. i'm a quarter of the way there already. jeezo! it does get so overwhelming doesn't it? but in such a lovely way. i have my booking appt this friday and hopefully scan not long thereafter. AND the most exciting part is a very hopeful change in symptoms 🤞🏼 as i eagerly await the 2 trimester. i cannot wait for a wee change in my energy levels and there will be no stopping me from pram research/demonstrations, shopping, organising/planning the nursery and the best of all, finally starting to believe that yes, i have been so fortunate to be pregnant. eeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk how bloody fantastic xxx

bakingmad83 · 29/05/2017 07:46

Morning,

Bella, hopefully you'll feel more energised once you're into the second tri. For the last week I've thought I've felt some small movements, though could be digestive so not 100% convinced, though know with 2nd you do tend to feel movement earlier. Never had any bubbles/butterflies with DS, probs did just missed them, but started feeling movements with him from 19 weeks.

Hope those of you who are off today enjoy the bank hol. DH is back tomo afternoon, so looking forward to seeing him again as felt like a v long week. At least his shifts fall so that he has 3 days off, so hopefully we'll have some nice family time before he goes back :)

AmandaP86x · 29/05/2017 12:22

Aw @BellaMoon 10 weeks amazing! Won't be long and we will all be in full swing.

I am knackered today.

Also on the bump touching I don't know how I'll feel about it lolol never been in the situation prob won't bother me but watch this space.

Still feeling ok - at work today and tomorrow so hoping that makes time go by really fast!!!!!! 😂

How is everyone today???

Dollydaydream2829 · 29/05/2017 14:00

Hi ladies,

rose - what a scary time for you! So glad you managed to stay positive and everything is OK with baby! I echo what the others have said with sizing. My early scan put me as earlier than I was and by my 12 week scan, baby had actually gone a day AHEAD for my original dates lol!

I'm not too keen on bum touching. I'm not overly keen on affection or hugs etc from anyone other than my DH - so the thought of a good ol bump touching gives me the fear a bit!

I've not felt any movements or flutters as yet but if I experienced it, I probably wouldn't even realise! I'll be one of those mums still waiting at 28weeks 😂😂

Can't believe that's you 10 weeks now bella - I feel like that's gone pretty fast but when it's you experiencing it, it defo doesn't Haha! Trust me though, second trimester goes way faster!

I've just finished a weekend of nightshift and feel pretty damn awful! I think it was you amanda who asked how I was finding them - second trimester nights waaaay better and easier than when I was knackered and constantly spewing but still find them difficult- more so cos of the tiredness!

Moo31 · 29/05/2017 17:28

@bella 10 weeks?! Where have the last 6 weeks gone?! 😮 just wait until you have your 12 week scan - time will really speed up then! Although don't be too excited about more energy in 2nd tri - my sleep our still shit so I'm still knackered all the time! 😴

I'm 16+3 so I'm over 2/5 of the way there - the last 4 weeks have flown in! Community midwife app tomorrow so hopefully get to hear baby's heartbeat 😍

I've had some feelings but as @baking said it's probably just wind! 😂 it's so hard to know what to expect!

You poor ladies on night shift - I don't envy you at all!

Flamingoprincess1212 · 29/05/2017 17:31

Hi all!
I'm 5W2d and thought I couldn't have babies! Some of you may have seen my organising a baby shower post. Anyway thanks to the positivity on there, I am pregnant and my EDD is 28/1/18

Nice to meet you all!

Dollydaydream2829 · 29/05/2017 17:37

Haha yeah, my energy hasn't quite picked up as much as I'd hoped either moo - good luck with your appt tomorrow! I have mine Thurs but I don't think I get to hear heartbeat? I'm sure mines is just BP and other paperworky stuff!

Welcome flamingo - so happy to hear your news! Especially if you thought you couldn't have babies! Were you trying for a while? Or had you been told you had a condition impacting fertility? Either way, glad you've proved them wrong and hoping for a problem free pregnancy for you!

OP posts:
Dollydaydream2829 · 29/05/2017 17:38

I also realise I mistakenly said 'bum touching' instead of BUMP in my previous post. Although I have to say, I'm really not keen on random people touching my bum either 😂😂

OP posts:
BellaMoon · 29/05/2017 17:54

time does fly ladies. i cannot get my head around the fact that it's june next week! #isoundlikemymother

welcome @Flamingoprincess1212 aw such lovely news. when did you get your BFP?

exciting week for appointments ladies. please do all keep us up to date with how things are progressing. #excitingtimesahead

oh no no @Dollydaydream2829 and @Moo31 you guys did not just shatter my energy dreams... take it back immediately haha. oh well, i did spend most of my day off today cleaning which, normally would have taken about 2 hours actually took 7. too many sit downs 😂

a strange thing just happened to me. picked DH up from work and we've had this thing going since we've been commuting together that if we see 3 or 4 magpies then that will be the gender of the baby. well it's been 5 weeks and we only ever see 1 or 2. BUT we just went by the cemetery to top up the flowers at my mums headstone and there, in all their glory, pecking at my mums flowers are 3 magpies! i couldn't stop laughing as DH immediately shut his eyes and put his hands over them. he's saying "it's only if we both see them so it doesn't count" (obviously in jest) but wow, can there be a bigger sign? he then said as we were leaving "as soon as i saw the scan i instantly thought girl. iv secretly thought girl since then". his blue eyes boy dreams are slowly diminishing "THANK YOU MUM" 🙏🏼 i know he will be delighted with either i just really needed him to stop fixating on "his boy" xx

BellaMoon · 29/05/2017 17:54

random bum squeeze coming your way now @Dollydaydream2829 hahaha

Roseandbee · 29/05/2017 18:03

Thanks Dolly:) and thanks for laugh, I at least know I'm not keen on bum touching, it makes me jump a mile. Hopefully I won't have a ticklish bump too

Welcome flamingo, that's brilliant news! Would love to hear your story. I'm 6w3d so roughly the same although pregnancy weeks seem to last a year for me

Bella & moo I'm glad to hear time does start to go a bit faster, can't wait to get that bit further

Baking enjoy your time with DH and hope those flutters get more obvious, I think my mind will be totally blown when I get to that stage

I'm also super tired today Amanda, been sleeping for most the day, Dolly I don't know how you manage your night shifts!
