I'm finding it's going much faster now I've hit the second trimester and everyone knows! I kinda want things to slow down a bit at times so I can enjoy the part of pregnancy that is relatively symptom free and enjoyable! It's mad.

I have to say though that even at my worst, when I was spewing my ringer multiple times every day, pregnancy has far exceeded my expectations and I love being able to just say "I'm pregnant" - it's all I've wanted for so long and I still have moments where I'm like 'I can't believe this is actually happening to me'

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind me popping over to say hi 😊 going to miss all your pregnancy chat. I find it helps my PMA joining in with you guys because it's like I can visualise that I'll always be making pregnancy chat soon if that makes sense? Anyway I'll be following along and reading all your posts and shedding a happy tear at all your scan pictures 🙊 and I'll be joining you over here in a few weeks when I get my BFP 😬😉 xx

BellaMoon · 22/05/2017 07:30

Morning ladies,
I'm LOVING Beyonce. She makes pregnancy look AMAZING for one. And I love how she's just so unapologetically her. How is everyone feeling today??
Hi archies - anyone & everyone is welcome here! I hope more people feel like they can join and of course any TTC-ers are more than welcome to follow and post! We'll miss you too much otherwise. Even though you'll all be over here with your BFPs before we've even had a chance to miss you properly.... #pma

as a wee PMA boost, i'm gonna do a wee 3 small things post, hope you join in:-

1- i have another day off today AMAZEBALLS
2- i spent time with my aunt and cousin yesterday and it was so nice to listen to their pregnancy/labour stories and hear how excited they are for me
3- i'm still in my jammies (yes i am that girl BUT they're leisure suit-types rather than fluffy bunnies haha)

BellaMoon · 22/05/2017 10:31

ok, apologies in advance cos i'm off today, but i have probably a thousand questions so here goes...

1- gender scans, thoughts please? some of you are close to the 16 week mark so a private gender scan is possible!

2- what stage have/will you start buying things?

3- how many of our grads already have kids again? (sorry i have a rough idea of who was TTC2 but just wanted to check)

will keep it to 3 questions just now so i don't miss any replies #loveya #answersonapostcardplease 💌📝

Roseandbee · 22/05/2017 11:03

Archie's all the Pma ladies are welcome here, I found it really motivating too, I was also following some of the antenatal threads whilst ttc. My theory is if you can switch your thinking from why can't it be me, to that will be me too soon! then you've mastered ttc PMA. You might as well make sure you've kept up as it'll save you scrolling back through when you tell us your good news:)

Moo I love you pee stick pic you've made gather all mine up and sellotape them neatly together although I'm pretty sure some have gone awol as I only remember one day I didn't test lol. You know I once had a dinner party and noticed a stray pee stick had made its way onto the table 🙈🙊 thankfully it was nearest to me

Amanda your bottom one def shows progression plus your control line is lighter on that one, so that means your test line in comparison is much darker if that makes sense. I'm with you with the food but I'm like, nah, nah, nope omg yes! DH go the shops and get that(not that he ever does) Then I'm like actually nah. Think I'm off meat, can have it in like currys but not in big bits

Bella I'm desperate for a sex scan, i feel like I need to know the sex to properly imagine the little bean, I can't imagine it gender less if that makes sense? In my head it's currently a girl, I can't just imagine a baby.

  1. Erm like before I got my bfp #blush although I've always had a habit of buying baby things whenever I see something good on offer as there's always a baby to give it to at some point. I'm making a wish list for those bigger items and enjoy just browsing
  1. It's mine and dhs first
Roseandbee · 22/05/2017 11:06

Love the affirmations, I'm now listening to pregnancy hypnosis every night with some in, only it sends me off to sleep so quick I don't get to hear many of them. I've always used hypnosis to get to sleep

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 11:18

Hey girls.

Well I managed a good 9 hour sleep!!!!! Lol still tired but going to chill and then I'll go back to bed for a bit I'm nightshift next few nights again.

Still got some feeling down there but I actually think it's wind lol also midwife in work asked me if I had tested my urine she said it may be a UTI so I'll do that tonight when I get into work.

Xx

BellaMoon · 22/05/2017 12:13

well done on the sleep @AmandaP86x it was long overdue! hope that continues and my new mantra is definitely "if i'm sleeping then i'm not stressing" 😘

haha love that you're a buyer @Roseandbee. i remember that your journey has been about 2yrs so i bet the wee purchases kept the PMA going! i've bought 1 babygrow
that i used to tell DH (even tho he ruined my opportunity). i'm a little superstitious for the big purchases at the mo but i can feel a few wee purchases coming on too x

this is our first baby too. hoping we've got some already mums here with their encyclopaedia of advice cos i am gonna need it xx

Moo31 · 22/05/2017 13:33

Hello ladies!

@Bella do you ever go to work?! :p Only joking I am just jealous as we have a leave ban in May and early June so my next day off is god knows when!

@Amanda - great sleep zzz I am also jealous of that!

Hey @Archies and @Hippy - can't wait for you both to join us on this BFP journey :)

In answer to your questions @Bella:

1- definitely not having a gender scan, we both LOVE surprises and I think after the pain of childbirth a wee surprise will be just the ticket! Also they told my mum that my sister was a boy ... I know technology has moved on a bit in 30+ years but still I am wary lol. But interestingly I did read something on here the other day (there was a post on the pros and cons of finding out) and someone said that if you are convinced its X and then it comes out and its Y then you might grieve for the X that you thought you had - if that makes sense. Everyone (including me) is convinced its a boy but as long as its happy and healthy I have no preference whatsoever and if its a girl I certainly wont grieve for the boy I thought I had been carrying!

2- we bought a little white teddy just after our 12 week scan. We have been to mothercare etc and looked at prams but wont purchase until after 20 week scan, and probably closer to 30 weeks - I think I will need that length of time to decipher all the lingo and the different features etc etc of prams and car seats, its a minefield! Mothercare are doing events during June (and the girl told me they do them in October also but I thought that was too late for me) - www.mothercare.com/advice-buying-guides-and-services/services/expectant-parent-event/services-ms-parent-event.html we have booked into a June one to try and make some sense of it all.

  1. It's also our first :)

xo

3- how many of our grads already have kids again? (sorry i have a rough idea of who was TTC2 but just wanted to check)

Moo31 · 22/05/2017 13:35

Oops I copied your questions so I could answer them without having to scroll back as I typed but I forgot to delete no3!

BellaMoon · 22/05/2017 14:02

very efficient way to make sure you didn't miss a question @Moo31 love it hehe. haha iv been off friday and today and that's me til next monday bank holiday #soznotsoz i can't believe i get to use all my AL before MAT leave. i'm being sensible tho, this is time i was owed for working like a dog for last couple of weeks #plusaweehourhereorthere #ssshhh

that is a very valid point regarding grieving over the gender if it turns out to be the opposite. i had never thought of that so ill definitely put some thought into that.

we are both thinking we will do the gender scan so far. i love a surprise but only when it's someone else! i have no inclination either way but DH keeps referring to "my boy" and i feel like he really needs grounding! we did have a chat and he nods and pays lip service but then goes back into boy mode. (i'm a little guilty of this myself as i only think of boy names!).

when we went for the scan on saturday he immediately turned to me and said "it's a girl". i was so taken a back! obviously there's no way of knowing but he got a sixth sense when he saw the little bud! i'm hoping this helps keep him on the fence but i'm not sure. we have a good few weeks to decide for sure.

my friends that know want to know but my family are a little less keen. they want the surprise so if we do go for it i might keep it to myself! it's still not real saying "i'm going to be a mum" let alone "i'm having a daughter/son"'

soooo hate to do this to you BUT since MIL mentioned this during the week iv fancied it... french toast/eggy bread YUM! considering i haven't eaten in 24 hours i do not feel quilty 1 single bit!

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 14:05

That's so funny Bella that's what I had yesterday!!! First time in years.

I defo don't want to find out either I like a wee surprise ha ha. I have also heard the story about people grieving for a baby they never had when sex is wrong.

I phoned EPU today & they have given me a scan for next Wednesday. So just get to then I'll be ok hopefully.

I'm so upset/annoyed at the comments on the other board. Hate the fact that people are saying I'm not supportive. I don't understand what iv really done wrong. Trying not to get stressed out here. Totally unfair because this has stemmed out of the message basically asking us to leave the thread.

Sorry I'm just so annoyed now today. Need to unfollow that thread.

Itsjustaphase84 · 22/05/2017 14:09

Afternoon all. Had my booking in appointment today. I'm 9 weeks today.
This will be dc2
EDD based on LMP is 25/12. I hope I get to eat my turkey!! 🎄

I'm sooo excited. I won't be telling family until 14/15 weeks ish because that's when they are all together.

Lovely to see the other grads on here...
It's nice to hear your thoughts on buying stuff too, I'm nervous buying much until my scans, even though I had one at 7 weeks.

I've thought long and hard about this and I'm going to find out the sex, I don't want my post natal hormones playing emphasising any negative feelings if I'm slightly disappointed it's not the sex I wanted. Even though I'll still be mega happy and love the little one loads x

BellaMoon · 22/05/2017 14:24

@Itsjustaphase84 aww i'm jealous you've had your booking appt. iv til a week on friday to wait! what happens if you don't mind me asking? love that we're due same day 😘 i pressured family into decided on where we were going for xmas dinner yesterday. i love love love my xmas dinner (it would be my death row meal) so i hope and pray that i get it, one way or another avoiding the maternity ward food! hehe

@AmandaP86x i have unfollowed already as i said my bit. don't get yourself upset please. haven't seen the latest comments but i can imagine how it's going. please draw the line @Dollydaydream2829 mentioned and focus on more positive things. and remember, you cannot be responsible for another's happiness and in that regard, we shouldn't allow others to affect ours 😘

oohhh eeemmmm geeee that french toast was the bollocks! 3 slices of white bread (omfg i cannot remember the last time i had white bread never mind 3 slices!! probably circa 2013 haha)

thanks for the link @Moo31 to the mothercare event. iv got it book marked now. i'm definitely going to that, thanks! i meant to say this in my last post but my food beckoned! #canthideafatty

ArchiesMamaBird · 22/05/2017 14:27

Amanda Just thought I'd quickly pop over here in case you are not watching the other thread anymore. I know things have got a little heated over the last day, and I totally disagree with people private messaging each other to be rude about others. At least say it on the thread so that everyone has a chance to stick up for themselves. Anyway, please try not to get stressed over it, I know you're having a rough time at the mo with your anxiety, and I'd hate to think of you making yourself ill/stressed over something that honestly doesn't matter. Keep smiling Smile

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 14:30

Thanks@ArchiesMamaBird & @BellaMoon I just find grown women messaging me saying "the others where right about you" actually really evil. Why say that to someone? To make them feel like everyone has been speaking about them behind their back. Totally unfair!

Aw @BellaMoon I just had to make some there 😂 had some white toastie bread too was amazing.

I have a scan booked for next Wednesday woohoo!
