Hi all thanks for the list @bella! You're a Star

Dollydaydream2829 · 25/05/2017 17:24

Congratulations emily !!! So happy for you! You'll be on cloud 9! Welcome aboard the grad bus!! I'm loving how big the list is getting!
What is your story?! How many cycles, what did you do differently etc. Love a good BFP story!

Thanks for the list bella - it's so bloody exciting seeing these due dates!

Who's for a scan next?

Anyone got any feelings yet as to what sex they're having? I'm convinced I'm having a boy for some reason but the old wives tales have me pegged as having a girl!

Hi squinty this is my 4th cycle of trying and all I did different this time was use the clearblue OPKs dual hormones one and also I was taking Agnus Castus as someone had recommended it and I was up for trying anything!

My stats are:
Baby #2
Cycle #4
BFP 25/05/17
EDD 05/02/18

Itsjustaphase84 · 25/05/2017 17:36

@Sophsta I had brown discharge and loss of symptoms at 7 weeks and again at 9 weeks. I went to EPU at 7 weeks and they found some bruising next to the sac which they reckon was from implantation bleed, which I only noticed as looking out for it.

They reckon baby disturbed the bruising hence brown blood. More like brown streaky discharge.

All is well.

Currently 9+3

Itsjustaphase84 · 25/05/2017 17:37

Congratulations hoping/Emily 🎉

Roseandbee · 25/05/2017 17:47

Aww congrats Emily, I was literally just wondering when we'd get a new grad popping over, check the thread and here you are! Brill news and happy to have you here #whoopwhoop

BellaMoon · 25/05/2017 18:23

@bakingmad83 i do hope your time without DH goes quickly. massive props to him for being part of a team helping keep the public safe and providing reassurance xx

i was discussing old wives take gender prediction thingys with the girls in my team today. we youtubed the baking soda in urine one and that seems quick accurate (if you believe everything you read online). i might give that a go when i'm close to/have had my gender scan to check its accuracy.

have done the wedding ring one. in fact does my 9+3 baby even have a gender yet 😂 that indicated boy! i did an online chinese statistical predictor and that said boy. but the rebel in me thinks "aye right, it'll be a girl for sure then" so i don't know either way.

If DH was to be believed he'd say 99.99% sure it's a boy even tho, he got an instant "it's a girl isn't it" moment when we had the early scan. he has quickly reverted to saying "my boy". had a quick chat with him about the grieving of a son that never was issue so will see if that sinks in.

interested to hear all your views on gut feelings x

BellaMoon · 25/05/2017 18:26

@Roseandbee echo what the others have said about hair dye. i contacted my hairdresser (who iv known forever) and asked "can preggo folk dye their hair, asking for a friend" and she almost jumped down the phone to kiss me, clearly i wasn't covert enough and she guessed it was me lol. she said try to wait til 2nd trimester based on industry advice for bleaching. i am only 9+3 but due to timings and her appt (and upcoming events i'm attending) i have to go tonight. she's only touching up my roots and it's not bleach so i'm confident i'll be fine x

Dollydaydream2829 · 25/05/2017 18:33

I got my hair highlighted at 10weeks. I didn't even think to ask if there would be an issue 🙈🙈
I probably do loads of things I'm not meant to.... haha

Thank you lovelies! Xx

bakingmad83 · 25/05/2017 20:17

Congrats Hoping and Emily, lovely news!

Thanks Rose and Bella, sure if I keep busy the time will fly :) DS certainly likes to keep me busy, but had me a bit worried, as on top of an unsettled night there was a saucer sized pool of blood on his cot sheet and he woke with a swollen cheek. After a trip to the doc and dentist today it turns out he'd badly bitten his cheek and has the start of an abscess, so got antibiotics now that will hopefully do the trick. Thank goodness for the NHS!

With DS I was convinced I was having a boy from early on, as just had nausea, no vomiting, and totally went off sweet food and craved savoury things - totally unlike me! This time I'm not so sure, as nausea mild again and probs still a preference for savoury, but I have this strange feeling it's a girl. Will hopefully find out at the next scan late June/early July.

bakingmad83 · 25/05/2017 20:23

Meant to add Rose, I wouldn't worry too much about mild symptoms - easier said than done I know and I've been guilty of it both pregnancies, but women experience such varying degrees of symptoms that can vary from one pregnancy to another that it's entirely possible you're one of the lucky ones. I think mild or reduced symptoms usually only an issue if combined with other worrying signs like bleeding or pain. Plus be careful what you wish for, as you could wake up tomorrow and the nausea could kick in big time :)

Sophsta · 25/05/2017 21:08

Oh no baking! Hope your ds is better soon!

Just said to dh that I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and he commented on how quickly it was flying past. No. No it isn't.

Roseandbee · 25/05/2017 21:27

Well thanks for all the info re the hair dye, seriously regretting letting my roots go whilst ttc, I feel I need to pop over to ttc and warn people they may stuck with bad roots for 3 months! lol
Well I'm horribly bloated now and feel very uncomfortable in the heat. I have prob jinxed myself and will be horribly ill #watchthisspace
Amanda think I'm gonna try and do my scan either thurs or fri, it'll be exciting for you to get your EDD!
Bella their sex is determined the second the eggs fertilised as it depends whether it was an X or Y chromosome sperm that made it, but I think it's awhile before they get their bits.
My feelings girl, keep seeing girls everywhere, the month before when I didn't get bfp kept seeing boys everywhere. I usually guess people bumps gender correctly, (well more than 50 50 anyway lol) I was super convinced my niece was a niece, I kept having a quick look in the baby girls section to look for prezzies and then remembering that I didn't actually know it was for sure. Although I'm afraid I only feel my predictions work if I spend some time with the bump

Roseandbee · 25/05/2017 21:30

Lol soph my DH keeps doing that to me. I've never known time to go this slowly, when I recall anything that happened before bfp I can't believe that it was only like a couple weeks ago

bakingmad83 · 25/05/2017 21:36

Thanks Sophsta, sure he'll be back on top form soon :)

I remember last time that time really dragged till 12 weeks, think cos only parents knew and we were dying to tell others. This time it's gone much quicker even though no one knew till 13 weeks, think as I have DS to focus on and at booking midwife said that you often forget you're pregnant some days with subsequent babies as your pregnancy isn't quite the same focus when you have another little one running around :)

Moo31 · 25/05/2017 23:01

As @baking I hope ds is ok! Poor wee pet :(

Everyone is convinced we're having a boy - I think mil will be grieving for the boy that never was if it's a girl! What is the baking soda urine one? Might try it! Actually I don't know any of them ... fill me in!

BellaMoon · 26/05/2017 06:45

@Moo31 the baking soda 1 is a your fresh fmu poured into a cup with maybe about 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda. think it has to be pee into powder not the other way around. if then fizzes and bubbles it's a boy. if there's hardly any reaction it's a girl.

i did the wedding ring on a string one the day we got our BFP (i know i know, obviously just for fun). DH hung it over my tummy and i think that 1 is if the ring stays still it's a girl but if it moves it's a boy. (don't quote me on that 1).

anyone tried these things out? x

bakingmad83 · 26/05/2017 06:56

Thanks Moo!

Haven't done the baking soda test, but read you put some baking soda in a container, add your wee and see whether it fizzes. Apparently fizzing indicates a boy I think . Supposedly differences in hormones change acidity of your urine.

Moo31 · 26/05/2017 08:38

Guess what I'm doing this weekend then! 😂

BellaMoon · 26/05/2017 10:00

yay keep us posted with how it goes xx

AmandaP86x · 27/05/2017 00:19

Hi girls

Just completed my first sober party. Wasn't massively hard but couldn't stop yawning come 11:30 😭🙈 home in bed now. DP prob a hit pissed off but I don't care lol.

How u all feeling? Iv had nothing change really boobs are sore but then they r ok then sore again. Shattered today and I have loads of creamy CM (soz) I pure panic cause I think it's bleedin 😭

6+4 today getting there....

bakingmad83 · 27/05/2017 07:30

Morning ladies,

Amanda, hope you still enjoyed the party. I've got my first party on Sunday evening, though I'm not much of a drinker and probs only able to stay an hour with needing to take DS with me with DH away, so won't be there for long enough to feel I'm missing out or for tiredness to kick in. If my knickers feel wet, both pregnancies I've had to nip to the toilet to check I'm not bleeding, though finding less CM this time round, possibly because I'm still breastfeeding DS which tends to dry you out.

Hope you all enjoy your bank hol weekend. No plans here for the days, but will no doubt get out and try to make the most of it :)

BellaMoon · 27/05/2017 08:23

morning all

@AmandaP86x iv had that around each time my period has been due. it freaked me out due to the "wet" feeling too. quick google search and chat on here and it appears it's ok. someone women get it some don't. phew!

@bakingmad83 having DS out at a party is a fab way to excuse yourself. that's the ideal prop iv needed for the last 5 years haha. i used to be such a party animal but since hitting 30 i'm a go out for a little while and home again kinda person. even alcohol became an issue as even 2 glass of wine would give me a hangover so i practically stopped drinking (although a full bottle of champagne at home only sometimes gave me a hangover)

ahhh now i'll have a party prop for myself in the form of my own little DC soon. yay! hehehe

hope you'll all have a fabby weekend. it was baking hot in my house last night. ended up naked, no covers and 3 fans on during the night. was supposed to rain and thunder/lightening around midday but it seems to
have changed its mind! i have a day of new tyres, new blind and general lazing about planned 🤘🏼🤘🏼 don't try to stop me now. hardcore or what #livinglifetothemax

Sophsta · 27/05/2017 20:16

I've also been really lazy today Bella. I'm also trying to find something vaguely healthy which I actually want to eat. Just made a bowl of spinach, cheese and vegetable pasta which I would usually love, however I have picked some if the pasta out and left the veg. Feeling rubbish.
