No (as dh is well aware!) But haven't had any pain or any actual proper bleeding. Google is actually my friend today so am calming down a little.

BellaMoon · 24/05/2017 18:32

yip @Sophsta what @Moo31 said. it sounds perfectly normal (i did a quick google for you too).

i got in from work and wanted a nap but DH had other ideas! think he's put me back on SMEP lol! time to get ready and go out for nephews birthday. he's the cutest boy in the world and hes 7 today. so sweet and innocent. could squeeze him so tight. but he's getting too big for cuddles which is annoying me hehe. gonna give him a big smacker right infront of his friends ☺️ that's what aunties are for haha

hope you all have a lovely evening xx

AmandaP86x · 24/05/2017 20:14

Aw @Sophsta that's a shame how worrying!! But the girls are right I think it can be normal - ur womb has thought it was going to have a period so still has the 1cm of blood around it (I know gross) lol so when that sheds its ur period and obv that didn't happen so sometimes old blood does come away. Xx

bakingmad83 · 24/05/2017 21:21

Thanks Bella, not sure when I'll get chance to catch up on sleep now that DH has been sent away to help with increased armed police presence. Must be a worry for everyone around Manchester, but him being away at some undisclosed location for up to a fortnight is a worry I could do without at the mo. For all he's a fire arms officer, his day to day job is pretty safe, so it's not really something I think about. Getting back to sleep though...I think you just find it in yourself when you have a newborn to cope with sleep deprivation and you might be one of the lucky ones whose little ones starts sleeping through from fairly early on.

Sorry squirrel, haven't really anything to add to what the ladies have said, though the cycle I conceived we were more focused on dtd every other day. Good luck!

Sophsta, sorry you've had this to worry about. I had a fair amount of brown discharge with DS around week 6 and they scanned me as a precaution, but all was well. Like others have said I was told about brown blood being less of a concern with it being old blood.

Dollydaydream2829 · 24/05/2017 22:06

Sophsta - I had a bit of bleeding around week 7 and week 11. I was lucky enough to get a scan at week 7 that showed everything was OK. They couldn't identify why I was bleeding and I hadn't DTD but they say sometimes you can have a bit of breakthrough bleeding around the time your period would've been due.....? As long as it's browny or red but a tiny amount, and not combined with severe pain, it's usually absolutely fine.

Thank you for the reassurance ladies. It seems to have stopped now but if it comes back I'll ring the epu. Not what I wanted on my birthday.

dolly I may well be due on my period around now or in a couple of days so that might make sense!

Roseandbee · 24/05/2017 23:14

Happy birthday Sophsta, it does sound like it's nothing to worry about. It could be due to the horse riding, maybe it's given that 1cm of linning Amanda mentioned a jiggle and also you generally more susceptible to bleeding during pregnancy as there's more blood flowing around your lady bits so any slight unjury could cause a small bleed. I've read that it's common that sex might cause a bleed that's nothing to worry about. I love horses by the way, I don't ride or anything but live on a bridal path so get to see them all the time.

Squirrel unfortunately on my bfp cycle I tried everything I could think of so hard to say what finally did it. I did use conceive plus for the first time which seems to be very lucky on the pma thread. I was struggling with fertility so I gave up alcohol for the whole cycle and caffeine but if your just starting ttc then I wudnt be that strict as your better off taking a more relaxed approach. My DH thinks we got pregnant because that month a huge stress he was under had been lifted, and there are a lot of success stories about people getting pregnant when they relaxed a bit or were on holiday. So my advice is enjoy it and hopefully you'll be one of those lucky ladies that gets their bfp in their first few cycles. As Bella said try not to turn into give sperm now woman. As the more I made it obvious about needing him to perform at certain times the less likely it was to happen. You only need the one time in your fertile window

Roseandbee · 24/05/2017 23:31

Oh and moo I think it was baking you meant I'm ttc my first.

Baking that is stressful for you, but im grateful we have people like your DH about, hope the time goes quickly.

Found out today that one of the victims is the brother of someone my DH knows:( was reading everyone's back stories today and it's just so upsetting

Moo31 · 25/05/2017 07:41

Sorry @rose I really need that list so I'm up to speed with everyone's stats! (Cough cough @bella! 😜)

That's terribly sad about knowing one of the victims - can't get Manchester out of my head:(

BellaMoon · 25/05/2017 07:58

gotchya @Moo31 hehe

if i don't get it done at lunch i'll definitely do it after the hairdressers tonight 😘😘😘

Roseandbee · 25/05/2017 08:35

No worries moo, think it's much harder to remember who said what on a forum.

lol Bella speaking of hairdressers im wondering am I allowed to die my hair being pregnant, I'm scared of ruddy everything lately

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow whoop, who else gets super excited about getting to the next level #achievementunlocked although today will probably last a month now

Slightly worried as all my symptoms are pretty mild at the mo, thought my nausea would increase but it seems to have gone

Moo31 · 25/05/2017 10:43

@Bella hehe!
@Rose I think my nausea kicked in at week 6 but talking to a friend who has 2 dc and she had none at all lucky duck! It is reassuring but don't wish it upon yourself:)
Also I have read that it's best to wait until 2md trimester for hair dye and it's better to get foils rather than all over bleach if you're a Blondie. All over in other non-bleaxh colours is fine though I think after 1st tri.

Sophsta · 25/05/2017 11:14

I was told that getting highlights is fine as the dye doesn't touch your scalp. I got mine done a couple of weeks ago and the hairdresser didn't think it was a problem.

hopingforabfp · 25/05/2017 11:47

Hello Ladies! I'm so glad to be joining this thread as I am now PREGNANT!! I'm literally over the moon with excitement! I've been taking OPKs for the past three days which have been positive. Yesterday I took a wilko test and it showed a line but too faint for DP to believe so I had to hold in my pee this morning and go buy some more. I am 11 dpo today!!

SquintySquirrel · 25/05/2017 14:05

Thanks to you all for all the advice! I've been reading about the raspberry red leaf tea and it mentioned it can help with heavy periods but I have the opposite - quite light periods - so I'm not sure that it would be right for me?

Also just noticed another bfp - congratulations hoping - I'm just on here to ask for advice for ttc and this is my first month so if you have any tips on how you achieved your bfp then I'd love to hear them!

BellaMoon · 25/05/2017 14:47

@Emily - what's your stats please? I'm doing the list now :)
