Aww gosh these scan pics are so clear! It's crazy, I think boy for you Dolly aswell!

Moo31 · 28/06/2017 19:39

Wow @Dolly amazing!!! 😀😀😀😀

Moo31 · 28/06/2017 19:41

@Rose did they say when you would get the results by? Or if it's all good you don't hear anything?

BellaMoon · 28/06/2017 20:20

@Dollydaydream2829 i'm going girl for you i think! it's the wee button nose. how cute!

(tried to post this a few times and it keeps deleting so sorry if it appears later multiple times)

xx

bakingmad83 · 28/06/2017 20:31

Lovely scan pics Moo and Dolly. I'm not going to guess on gender, as don't honestly know what I'm looking for, but we're finding out whether we're having a boy or girl at 20 week scan tomo :)

Glad you have scan date now Anna.

Not long till your gender scan now Bella :)

Sorry to hear that phone call is now worrying you Rose. Was it a missed call/no one there when you picked up, is that what happened? Hopefully there's nothing to worry about.

BellaMoon · 28/06/2017 20:54

@bakingmad83 more scan pics. loves it. please let us have a peak 👀

i don't know what i'm looking for either, purely guessing. i don't even know if i have a track record of being correct or not, just love those pics so much. i know, i should get out more! lol x

@Roseandbee i'd go with the advice that you'll get a call either way! try settles the anxiety a wee bit.

i'm still waiting on results from 12wk bloods that should have popped up on my notes by now (which i can access via an app) but it's been 2 weeks now and nothing. don't these people know we will worry either way!!??

bakingmad83 · 29/06/2017 05:36

Morning,

Bella, may take me a bit to get the pic up, don't have a camera on my phone, so will have to dig my camera out. Just remembered I was meant to email a friend a pic of the 12 week scan and didn't, oops.

Bella, were they the bloods for things like anaemia, infectious diseases etc? I didn't get mine till 16 week appointment. Think they only contact you beforehand if there's an issue. Know the midwife had to fish my blood results out a file, so weren't even in my notes, though know it's a bit different if yours are all electronic. With test results it's usually a case that if you don't hear anything, there's nothing to worry about :)

BellaMoon · 29/06/2017 19:31

any news for us @bakingmad83 re: gender scan? exciting times!

i have the blood results from booking appt which was all the STIs etc but i also had blood drawn at 12wk scan for screen issues. it's the latter that i'm still waiting on. the first set arrived on my app within a week or so. iv got consultant next thurs so ill ask about them then. i'm assuming no news is good news so as not to worry too much xx

Ohb0llocks · 29/06/2017 20:19

@BellaMoon I'm saying girl!!

Hope you're all well! I've only skimmed through so much catch up!

My cramps are finally easing! Thank god it's been so worrying. Had lots of good kicks from him today too.

Anyone started buying yet? We move in 2 weeks so I've not bought anything but will be starting before long!

Roseandbee · 29/06/2017 20:37

Hope the scans gone well baking!

Ohb yup I've been buying #blush but just like if it's a sale. I bought before I even got my bfp. But it was part of the PMA for me.

Got my NIPT results back (via email) the number that keeps ringing me is my pet insurance tut. All low risk! And were having a girl 😊 Makes it all feel super real now

BellaMoon · 29/06/2017 21:02

aww @Roseandbee a wee baby Rosie how cute! was that discovered as part of the DNA tests you had done (ps hope you've renewed that pet insurance lol)

@Ohb0llocks so glad you're feeling better!

everybody i meet keeps telling girl even DH is saying it now! 💗💗

bakingmad83 · 29/06/2017 21:21

Evening ladies,

Glad you're feeling better ob0llocks and good to hear your results came back all clear Rose. Congrats on a baby girl too!

Been a bit of a busy day, but all went well at 20 week scan thanks and DS is getting a little sister :)

Going to get DS's vacuumed packed bags of clothes out loft and have a sort through. Imagine DD will be dressed in vests and sleepsuits for the first 6 months as DS was and that as most of his early clothes were solid colours/patterns/animal prints that they'll work well for a little girl too. So hoping we won't have to buy too much at the mo, as have kept all the other bits and bobs too.

Roseandbee · 29/06/2017 21:31

Thanks Bella, Yeah it was via DNA I'm only 11 weeks :)

Congrats Baking! Sounds like your all set and you'll prob get a load more clothes as presents. My DH has looked at baby clothe for the first time n was like "do they only fit for two months?!"

BellaMoon · 29/06/2017 21:34

aw lovely news for you too @bakingmad83 you're all set now with 1 of each flavour 💗 congrats. x

bakingmad83 · 29/06/2017 21:36

Thanks ladies. Was hoping for another boy tbh, but most important thing is baby is healthy. Just hoping we don't get given too much in baby pink, as I personally can't stand the colour!

bakingmad83 · 30/06/2017 07:46

Morning,

Although I hadn't felt much movement from DD, she was certainly wiggling and flipping all over the place at the scan and was very active last night. Excitingly for DH, he was also able to feel her kicks :)

Has anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? DH is working nights today and tomo, but hopefully we'll do something as a family Sunday afternoon. I've been craving a roast dinner for a couple of weeks, so we're going to cook one for the evening :)

BellaMoon · 30/06/2017 08:19

aw that's awesome @bakingmad83 although videos of babies moving in mummies tummies does make me have little waves of queeziness i'm sure when it happens to me i'll love it. have you thought of any names now that you know it's a girl?

need some advice ladies... for the 3rd time this week i have had a nose bleed. now i know it's typical for wk15 etc however i have had operations on my nose in my teenage years for excessive bleeding. each bleed this week has lasted 20 odd minutes and it runs like a tap, not just a dollop or two of blood on a tissue. this morn i went through a whole loo roll! i don't want to sound like a cry baby but it's making me panic a wee bit, well it does at the time as it goes down my throat too (sorry if this is revolting morning chat). i fear if i call the midwife she'll dismiss it saying it's a common symptom. any thoughts?? x

Ohb0llocks · 30/06/2017 08:35

@BellaMoon no advice really apart from that I've never ever suffered from nose bleeds in my life, but since I've been pregnant I am getting the odd one. Nothing like yours though.

BellaMoon · 30/06/2017 13:35

thanks @Ohb0llocks called the midwife and she's seeking advice from consultant once they've reviewed my file on what was done to my nose and why, years ago. FYI if you get a nose bleed in pregnancy, it should be no more than a tablespoon worth of blood. if anymore seek advice. xx

@bakingmad83 i have a pamper day booked tomorrow, getting make up and hair done for a friends hen night tomorrow night. at this moment in time, id give an organ to get out of going cos i feel like death warmed up but i'm sure ill be better tomorrow. also, pram shopping on sunday! excited much!

what you lovely lot up to? x

bakingmad83 · 30/06/2017 19:31

Glad your midwife has been helpful re your nosebleeds Bella. I've never even had a minor nose bleed, but yours sound awful, so good they've taken you seriously. The kicks are a lovely feeling (though in fairness never had the pleasure of being kicked in the ribs or anywhere else unpleasant with DS) and nice when your DP can feel them too :)

I've got quite a few ideas in my head re names, but keen to avoid anything too popular after naming DS something that I didn't think was that common only to meet numerous at playgroups. Just know what it's like having a popular name myself, there were 2 others in my class at secondary school and it sometimes got a bit confusing especially as 2 of us had surnames beginning with the same letter too. DH hasn't given any thought to names yet, but once we're down to a short list, will let you all know :)

Pamper day sounds lovely Bella :) I've got an Indian head massage booked for next weekend. Hope you're feeling better for the hen do in the evening. I remember fondly trying out various prams in Mothercare, so enjoy pram shopping wherever you go :)

BellaMoon · 01/07/2017 14:27

pamper day cancelled and hen night is off the cards, i am so disappointed! iv been ordered to rest as much as possible until i see the consultant on thursday. it looks like my blood vessels might be overreacting to the increased blood supply and midwife wants me horizontal in bed until further investigation! apparently the operations i had on my nose when i was a teenager were quite major and i have a condition (which i now can't remember the name of) which the consultant will tell me more about next week.

i also have a common name @bakingmad83 however my father decided to spell it differently to the norm which means i have to spell it out pretty much everyday. my maiden name was straight forward however my married name is now also a common surname but guess what, yes not spelled conventionally so it's a double whammy for me! i did always say i'd never do that to my child but now it's reality, i do tend to favour unusual or differently spelled names. i'm such a hypocrite lol xx

Moo31 · 01/07/2017 15:39

Hi all

Congrats @rose and @baking on your PINK news!! 💓

@Bella I was going to say enjoy your pamper day and hen night but I've just heard your update 😔 I'm sorry you had to cancel them! Hopefully they'll get you sorted this week and you feel better soon!!

We're pram shopping tomorrow too although oh is out at his golf captains day today so goodness knows what state he'll be in tomorrow!! 😂

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend :)

BellaMoon · 01/07/2017 18:44

PMA Grads Thread :-)
Anna2006 · 01/07/2017 19:15

Congrats on the baby girl news baking and rose how exciting!! As if you got to find out that early rose that's so cool!!

HA @bella loving the tshirt. A few of you guys deff need that on already.

I'm gagging and dry wretching every day now. Eugh it's a pain in the arse but touch wood I haven't been physically sick like last time & i still have an appetite. Just wolfed down a Chinese. Yum yum.

Ooh pram shopping. Exciting! Do any of you have any ideas or favourites on pram?! All of my friends seem to have the silver cross ones.

Xxx

Moo31 · 01/07/2017 19:45

Lol @Bella you should have commissioned it!! Haven't had anyone touching my bump yet - hope it stays that way!!

@Anna - prams are my current obsession! I really really want a plum / mulberry pram but mamas and papas have discontinued the one I had my eye on (armadillo in mulberry) and I can't see any other makes in the same colour (all the other purple ones are too bright) so it's back to the drawing board - i might go for grey just to match the 50 shades of grey in my house!! The silver cross ones are lovely also. Really interested to hear what prams everyone likes!!
