Thanks Moo and Anna :)
I got a Silver Cross Pioneer in electric blue for DS and we'll be using it for DD too - just need to get a new mattress for it. It is very bulky, esp when using the carry cot bit, so did a car swap with DH, so he now has my Fiesta and I have his Mazda estate, as there's no way I could have fitted the buggy bit and chassis into the boot and had room for shopping etc. But the large basket is so handy for if you do shopping/want to carry other items. It's v sturdy, used it every day for the first 18 months and was putting in around 10 miles on many of those, as was only way DS would go to and stay asleep - did need to get 4 new wheels as rubber broke down from all the miles, but they replaced them free of charge as was within 2 year warranty. They also replaced the rain cover and foot muff free when they got torn, probs again from over use!
We used a car seat from 0 to 4 for DS, so as he'll not be quite three when DD arrived, we decided to get a car seat that you can take out the car and fit to a pram. Managed to get a Silver Cross one compatible with the pram - possibly from Mothercare - that was half price as bright yellow and don't think it had been a popular colour :)
Sounds like you've been productive Bella. Don't worry too much though, a lot of it is instinctive I'm sure and you'll know what to do when you've got your little one in your arms :) I think I've probably got so used to looking after a toddler that it'll be a shock to the system when DD arrives, as sure nature makes you forget how hard it is in the early days, but us women are really good at just cracking on with things and doing a good job :)
Can sympathise Bella re surnames - my maiden name was unusual, but very similar to another name of a politician and everyone assumed it was that. Tbh not looking for a name that's too unusual, just a mainstream name that's not used much now. For instance, with DS two on our short list were Scott and Stuart, nothing unusual, but they're way down the lists on popularity and I've never come across any young or old as an adult.
