@Anna - that's great you have booked the scan, hopefully will put your mind at ease a bit :). Lovely for your friend having a little boy (any names you would be willing to share? I am obsessed with baby names at the minute!). The sweaty mess? Not so lovely! The heat isn't bothering me too much although I might regret saying that!!

My sickness seems to be back - I was sick after breakfast on Sat and Sun and after dinner last night (but put it down to my BILs driving!) but I have been sick again this morning (although I am on a train ...) I have been googling and while it is a relief to know I am not alone in MS starting up again around week 20 I REALLY some of the things I have read aren't going to be the same for me i.e. people saying when it comes back it stays until the end :( :(

@Dolly - almost half way BFP buddy!! Are you fed up being "4 months pregnant" - I feel like I have been "4 months" forever! Maybe my own fault as I have been saying 4 mths since week 16 which was end of May but since I currently have just under 5 months to go I am still saying 4 months ... so I have been saying 4 months for like 4 weeks now! I have said "X weeks" a few times but it feels a bit pretentious and then people always say "how many months is that?" anyway and I end up saying 4 lol!! I am going to start saying 5 ...

Happy Monday everyone!!! :D

AmandaP86x · 19/06/2017 20:50

Hi lovely ladies how r we?

I am 10 weeks tomorrow(well according to my dates) so far so good. Still feeling hungover and sooo tired - I actually had to have a lie down in work today it was so bad. 12 hour shifts r an absolute KILLER!!!!

Resisted a lot of urge to get scanned again 12 week scan two weeks tomorrow 👍🏻🤗

I might try the mothervare thing - me and DP a bit of a freak out yesterday at the amount we need to buy 😂

Still not told any family yet lol!!!! Holding out to 12 week scan, was tempted to tell my dad yesterday on Father's Day lol!!

Hope ur well! Whose getting scanned next???

xxx

Sophsta · 20/06/2017 12:45

I have my scan on Friday when I'll be 12 weeks exactly!

Anna I'm with you on the what and exhaustion. I'm so grumpy and work has kicked up a notch at a time when I could really do with stepping back.

I told work I'm pregnant as my dh and I work together so will both need scans off. This means I have to go somewhere different if the fire bell rings... guess what happened today. I had to stand with the two heavily pregnant ladies and many people have now guessed. Not ideal when you've not even had a scan yet.

Sophsta · 20/06/2017 12:45

That should be the heat not the what.

BellaMoon · 21/06/2017 08:05

hi ladies

how you all doing? good i hope!

iv had a v v busy week so that's brought on week 14 pretty quickly. i can definitely see a wee change to the shape of my lower tummy. not to mention the return of v v tender boobies 🙈

i ended up missing the mothercare event as my friend invited us to a bbq and who can refuse that? haha

@Moo31 how are you now? hope the sickness has buggered off. you are time served on that symptom it can do 1!

can't wait for all the scan pics popping up ladies yay xx

glad to say my appetite is much better and iv been enjoying lovely salads and loads of fruit. hoping my skin improves as all that toast and crackers definitely left me lacking in stuff. iv just read that iodine and protein are important for me this week onward so it'll be lots of mushroom chicken and eggs YUM

anybody willing to share baby names/ideas? we are obsessed with talking about this. some of the stuff DH is coming out with, jeez!!

Ohb0llocks · 21/06/2017 13:32

Scan tomorrow morning here! Any more guesses for gender?

Attached DS's 12 week pic for comparison, he's is the slightly sepia one. Baby #2 is the black & white!

Aww ohb! I'm gonna say boy, I'm kinda trying to do nub theory but not sure if I see one, also has the baby got an arm near the face? I can definitely see a nub in your DS pic only I might've said girl for that one Blush do you have any inklings?

Bella I have Rose for a girl and I did want Charlie for a boy but that's my dogs name :-/
Amanda Woohoo for double digits. I'll be there on Friday. I cannot believe you are doing 12 hour shifts! You deserve a medal

Soph oh dear lol! at least it's not long to wait now till the secrets out officially

Moo are you any better? Doctor google always seems to prefer worse case scenario

I've got NIPT test and scan booked for Sunday

Ohb0llocks · 21/06/2017 16:07

There isn't one on that one @Roseandbee but you can definitely see one on DS'!

Moo31 · 21/06/2017 17:05

Hi everyone!

@Ohb - I am going for girl! Purely because you already have a DS lol excited to see your pic tomorrow!

I am excited to see your 12 week scans too @Amanda and @Soph :)

@Rose - Feeling much better thanks :) I wasn't sick yesterday and haven't been today so hopefully it was down to the travelling! I didn't get an NIPT test (they aren't offered in NI) - fx it all goes ok for you :)

@Bella - the BBQ was probably more fun anyway!! glad your appetite is better :) Oh my baby names - my fav topic at the minute!! I am obsessed ... OH not so much lol our boys name is 100% decided (Finn) - we picked that one years ago and still love it. Really praying a friend who is having a boy in August doesn't pick it ... (Should I tell her in passing so she doesn't ... but then that might put it on her radar and I might shoot myself in the foot!!) Girls names are a whole other story, really struggling, lots of names I like but none I LOVE. I was away with work Monday night and I downloaded the top 500 from last year and highlighted some potentials. I was seriously considering posting in the baby names thread on here but a) it's too early / I am getting carried away and b) there are some nasties in there who will probably hate all of the names that I like!! My not so short list ... Evie, Erin, Melissa, Martha, Alice, Bethany, Elsie, Eliza, Matilda/Tillie, Evelyn, Ivy, Maisie (this was our no1 from years ago but I have gone off it). I also love Lucy, Emily, Amelia, Sophie - but we can't use those :( OH threw Minnie and Mila into the mix last night ... you are going to regret asking Bella!!!

Moo31 · 21/06/2017 17:07

Also there were 4 baby girls called Samanta last year - there is also Samantha on the list so not a typo on the list but surely a typo by the parents on the BC!?

Anna2006 · 21/06/2017 17:22

I will say girl @ohbollocks. Will you find out tomorrow then?

Oh no Soph what a nightmare. Can imagine everyone staring at you wondering! Nightmare. But like others have said. Hopefully not long an secret can be out.

I haven't even thought about names as far too early considering I'm not even close to 12 weeks 🙈🙈

But we had thought about it for the first pregnancy & had decided on Mila for a girl & Max for a boy I think. But somehow now I don't want them names so think we will find new ones! Love seeing everyone's name choices though!

Ohb0llocks · 21/06/2017 17:42

@Moo31 our girls name is on that list!

Yes I'll be finding out if I can!

Moo31 · 21/06/2017 19:23

@ohb we obviously have good taste 😉

Roseandbee · 21/06/2017 23:19

Ohb im gonna stick with boy just cos it looks quite similar to the scan of your DS, I like gender guessing but I prefer to do it when I've seen the bump in person, otherwise I don't trust my psychic vibes. lol
Moo we have similar taste in names. we agreed on rose with DH a long time ago too, love the name Finn. I'm loving the name Evie right now, special cos my mum is Eva, also Elsie too, I love ie ending names. If we end up with a Rose she will be getting called Rosie.

BellaMoon · 22/06/2017 06:49

morning ladies

glad you're feeling better @Moo31 hope it was just the travelling. can't have you going back to being a spewy louie!

love your name choices ladies!!

well we love love love Finn too BUT i'm now also loving Finlay! I actually like Finlay for boy or girl. we have many names we like for
a boy which includes Zander, Sebastian (would probs be Seb for short), Alfie, Tommy, Freddie and Anthony. Personally i love Murray (remember i'm obsessed with Andy Murray - don't hate me) but DH has threatened divorce if i mention that 1 again! that's just a few off the list!

for a girl we are far more simple and both love (and are probably settled on) Mirrin. We like the traditional Scottish Murren but when you pronounce it like that i don't like it as much so iv played about with it a little. For those that maybe haven't heard of it, legend has it that William Wallace married a girl not long into his battles and her name was Murren (note i said william wallace not mel gibson haha)

oh the lists go on but that's a quick summary. i literally talk about this constantly with DH and pretty much anyone else that will listen.

my friend is 3 days ahead of me and we keep touching base on names just incase there's any similarities as that would be a disaster wouldn't it. i don't mind sharing with people further afield but we couldn't be thinking of naming our kids the same when we are close friends. anyone experience of that? iv heard names can become "intellectual property" haha and people can actually "steal" them!

@Ohb0llocks remind me how far along you are now? i think we were BFP buddies but dates change so not sure if we are
still on track!

@Roseandbee i love Rose or Rosie for a girl. such a classic beautiful name! i loved Bella for a girl but called my cat that so that's out of the window now too! I heard Victoria Beckham had the same problem when she found out Harper was a girl. she wanted Coco for a girl but had called her dog that when she had her 3rd boy she figured she'd never have a girl. hehe

i have a private gender scan booked for 17wk mark. DH said wait til 20wk scan but i'm far too impatient. i feel like it'll become far more real if i know, sounds silly i know and surprises are fab but i'm still getting over the surprise of being pregnant in the first place. i don't think i could take another!

jeez iv actually waffled on a lot this morn. sorry! catch up with you all later 😘

Ohb0llocks · 22/06/2017 07:13

@BellaMoon 19+3 today!

Love your boys name list. I'm struggling for a boys name. I love Sebastian but we have a nephew Sebastian Sad (I shouldn't sad face really he's a darling)

AmandaP86x · 22/06/2017 10:34

Oh loving all ur name choices!! I like Eva, Harper, Sophia & Lillie!! Kathleen was my mums name so I sometimes think maybe Katie would be nice but Scottish people don't pronounce Katie right lol!!!

Aww @BellaMoon Finlay is my fav for a boy too! ❤️ I like Noah, Cooper & Josh. However my two ex boyfriends have boys called Josh so that's prob out the question 😏😂

I had a wee scan in work on Tuesday. I was 9+3 so that defo is in line with the other scan I had. My 12 week is next Tuesday so that will make me 11+3 I think. I am so bloated though dunno how much longer I can hide it!!! Out for dinner with my brother (who I am MASSIVLY close too) only 11 months between us and I think he's going to twig that im no drinking!!! 😭😭

Ohb0llocks · 22/06/2017 13:52

Aww than scan 😍

Well, I'm having a BOY 💙💙

Name suggestions more than welcome, as is anterior placenta information!

Anna2006 · 22/06/2017 13:59

A boy! @ohb0llocks congrats!

Aww nice to see the next scan update Amanda. Hopefully that has put your mind at ease now until your 12 week one!

BellaMoon · 22/06/2017 14:56

aw @AmandaP86x scan pic is too cute! won't look like a wee bean much longer. i'm amazed at how quickly they develop! i loathe the way Scots say Katie, Natalie and Scarlett. Puts me right off so it does! Katie is a lovely wee nod to your mum tho. If i'm having a girl i'll use my mums name for a middle name i think BUT that would mean she'd be called Mirrin Helen... too like Helen Mirren i think 😂

ahhh @Ohb0llocks lovely news. little boy blue. how cute! it's all girls that have been popping up around me. have you any name ideas other than the Sebastian that you can't have (how annoying is that despite how cute he is!). did you get a scan pic?

you've got me all excited for finding out gender now. another 3 weeks til i find out! we've promised not to tell any friends and family but ill be sure to let you all know x

Ohb0llocks · 22/06/2017 15:04

DP likes Arthur but I'm a bit 😶 meh about it.

I like Louie but he doesn't 🙄

George is. Contender though!

Yes got a pic it's downstairs, I'll take a pic when I go down!

AmandaP86x · 22/06/2017 16:32

Awww @Ohb0llocks congrats 💙💙💙 amazing news. I love the name Louie but my friends wee boy is called that! He is v cute.

Aw ano @BellaMoon such an unfortunate accent 😭 I like Eva Kathleen together though that's a front runner for me!!!

Xx

Dollydaydream2829 · 22/06/2017 18:01

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been a bit AWOL recently, I have still been checking in daily but just not had much time to reply. I've been doing loads of overtime shifts so that my maternity pay is good - my pay is based on the 8 week period between 16weeks & 24weeks gestation so powering it in while im feeling good! Knackered every night though.

Congratulations on the scan amanda - everything looks good and hoping your anxiety is easing off slightly??

Congrats to you too ohb - a lovely little boy! I just know we're probably gonna have a boy too because we don't have our boy name picked! We've agreed on girls names though but I'm not gonna share them cos I'm a bit superstitious that way?? Weird eh?! They haven't been mentioned already though they aren't weird.

Ah good for you for booking the gender scan bella - if I was wanting to find out, I'd book one early too! As it stands, I'm just dying to have my scan so I can try and relax a bit if baby is healthy. If it's possible, I feel more anxiety at this scan than I did at my 12 week one!!

Bump watch.....I'm definitely, definitely showing all of the time now at 20weeks. People have commented saying I'm neat and others have commented saying I'm huge. There's just no winning is there?! Someone also said my face looked much 'fuller' - I wanted to cry at that!! Lol!

How are you doing moo?? looking forward to your scan soon?? Can't believe this journey is almost halfway done! It's bloody crazy!!

Hi Ladies,

Just catching up with the posts on here after getting back from hol this afternoon. Couldn't have picked a better week for a UK break! Bit hot at times, was really feeling the heat yesterday afternoon, but don't think I'd drank enough.

Moo - sorry your sickness has returned, hopefully short lived. don't think I'm any more clumsy tbh. Think I just fell on Saturday as my back was playing up. Thankfully it was only bad for a couple of days on hol and seems ok now.

Congrats on the news you're having a boy OhB0llocks! I'm hoping for another boy - find out a week today, but have a feeling it's a girl. Not thinking about names till after we find out gender. Re anterior placenta, I had this last pregnancy. It's meant to mean you feel less movement, though this was never an issue for me, as last time round felt kicks from 19 weeks. It wasn't relevant to me, but know if you're anterior placenta and baby is breech, they can't manually turn them. Sorry, can't say any more re the anterior placenta, but wondering if I've got another one, as still not really sure I've felt any movement - 19 weeks today.

I feel massive at the mo. I look like I did when 7 months pregnant last time, but I had a small bump then and needed a growth scan, but everything was fine. I'm tall, so guess baby just grew upwards rather than out, but know you show more 2nd time round.

Sorry I haven't responded to everyone's news, will try to get caught up tomo
