Up your fruit intake @sophr2017 I'm loving apples at the moment and haven't had constipation in weeks!

MrsNemAz · 25/04/2017 07:23

@sophr2017 I would also suggest prune juice.

sophr2017 · 25/04/2017 07:24

Have tried orange juice and am eating more fruit then I ever have before Sad

Will try more today and the black jacks! Thanks all x

lydiangel83 · 25/04/2017 07:38

I do feel your pain I'm hardly eating any fresh fruit. I did stew some apples as can't stomach the thought of them fresh, and that seemed to help.

sophr2017 · 25/04/2017 08:04

Thanks Lydia, wish me luck that the urge doesn't come when I'm driving down the motorway in between meetings, although at this point is be relieved to go anywhere 😂😂

MSH2010 · 25/04/2017 10:23

Just back from my 16wk midwife appointment

Heard both heartbeats and both twins doing well

Urine showing a plus 1 on glucose so got to wait back to hear this afternoon about that. But she didn't seem that worried. But she wanted to double check guidelines

Have a good day all

lydiangel83 · 25/04/2017 11:09

@MSH2010 congrats that's great news! I'm finding myself hoping for twins (history of multiple births in family!) but I'll be very happy with one happy healthy baby!

Jessiecat27 · 25/04/2017 12:36

@soph my midwife told me to take lactulose but any fruit and veg will help too! Got my 12 week scan next Tuesday, feel like it's going so fast already! Hope everyone is feeling okay today Smile

Moo31 · 25/04/2017 15:33

@soph lentils and bran flakes helped me but then I went the other way and have been like that since last Wednesday! Would do anything to be constipated again!!! Haha!

Moo31 · 25/04/2017 15:34

@MSH that's fab!! :):):)

Brens13 · 25/04/2017 15:52

Hi everyone, and congratulations to all.

I'm very new to all this, at only 5+2 (due Christmas Eve!) and it's been really interesting reading all your experiences....and a bit eye-opening as any symptoms for me are obviously minimal at the moment. Currently just feeling really hungry, slight stomach ache, and a bit more sleepy. Still doesn't feel real as we only found out last week.

I look forward to hearing more of what to expect!

ew1990 · 25/04/2017 16:42

Welcome @Brens13 ooh I found out at 5 week 2 days I'm 11+5 now and that seems so long ago xx

MSH2010 · 25/04/2017 18:05

Welcome and congratulations Brens!

Brens13 · 25/04/2017 18:13

Thank you both. @ew1990 I'm hoping the time to where you are goes nice and quickly so it can finally be time to tell people. Hardest secret ever to keep!

Jessiecat27 · 25/04/2017 18:13

Welcome and congratulations! I'm probably going to jinx it but I haven't been sick and not feeling as nauseous, hoping it stays away! Still struggling to not eat as much chocolate though Blush

Brens13 · 26/04/2017 07:52

@Jessiecat27 Oh god I ate so many Easter eggs last week. I can't seem to stop being hungry. Have managed to still lose 3 pounds tho, so it's obviously a secret diet no one tells you about!

MSH2010 · 26/04/2017 12:47

I've got to go for a glucose tolerance test next week Sad I'll only be 17 weeks and they say it's usually done between 24 and 26 weeks. Feeling pretty pants right now incase something is wrong

lydiangel83 · 26/04/2017 12:56

@Jessiecat27 @Brens13 I ate so many Easter eggs! And most definitely not losing weight lol!

Brens13 · 26/04/2017 13:12

@lydiangel83 haha I'm pretty sure my new found diet is not going to last and will catch up with me pretty quickly! I found out I was expecting only the week after I found out my super-slender cousin-in-law is also expecting, so I'm already prepared to lose the yummy mummy contest lol.

@MSH2010 I hope all goes well at your appointment. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know!).

Jessiecat27 · 26/04/2017 13:44

I'm gutted the Easter eggs are no longer in the shops! I'm trying to balance it out with healthy meals as I wasn't exactly that slim to start with Blush

Brens13 · 26/04/2017 15:22

@Jessiecat27 Haha me neither, though have recently lost nearly 3 stone, so really looking forward to having to do that all again in 9 months Hmm DH is working late tonight and so all day I've just been thinking of everything I can eat while he's not here judging me lol.

Squigglefish · 26/04/2017 17:10

@MrsJKerry good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. I was really nervous before hand then you see how much is going in and you cant feel a thing. My baby was really kicking out. Did you try your doppler?
@Brens13 congratulations! I hope you're a lucky one and avoid the sickness. My friend is 3 weeks ahead of me and she's had nothing but a bit of tiredness. I've had the full works although it's easing now approaching 13w! It's all so unpredictable 😂

mrsjkerry · 26/04/2017 19:38

@Squigglefish mine is Friday! 😬 soooooo scared today still. Especially as some of the kids at school have started saying things!
I haven't tried the Doppler yet...too scared that I won't find anythingb

Mumtobe12 · 26/04/2017 19:42

Hi I'm first time mum to be 33 weeks due June 12. Had fine pregnancy till now sickness hit on anti sickness tablets which is a joy any I've similar? X

Squigglefish · 26/04/2017 19:52

Ahh sorry! A day ahead here!
I'm away in Sheffield with my husband for the snooker and I don't know if I've eaten too much or if my bump has popped but I've got a VERY noticeable tummy!
@Mumtobe12 I've had anti sickness tablets too. I've been on cyclizine, they stop the nausea but don't stop the random dry heaves lol!!
