@ew1990 I'm the same and when one finally goes another comes and says a red angry hello Sad (my sad face reflects my dislike for spots)x

@MrsB12345 tell me about it, I was just getting them under control and they came back with a vengeance xx

Squigglefish · 24/04/2017 10:50

Just have to share.....my scan was fabulous. We are now measuring ahead at 12w 5d, not 12w 1day! (considering I was behind on my early one) so they've told me my due date is now 1.11.17. The baby was flinging him/herself all over. All is looking really well, and the sonographer had no concerns. It was amazing and we are over the moon. The difference is incredible from 7w.

Oh wow @Squigglefish congratulations that's amazing news! I'd be over the moon too! Nice work :) very happy for you x

sophr2017 · 24/04/2017 11:03

Yay squiggle!! I bet it was amazing seeing it and the sense of relief!

I was exactly the same, behind at early scan then 5 days ahead at 12 week scan! We're obviously brewing them well 😂

Bubbasmama2017 · 24/04/2017 11:11

Very exciting! Congratulations. Hoping I get the letter for my appointment soon I'm so anxious to see the baby is still in there!

Squigglefish · 24/04/2017 12:40

Thanks girls! Hahaha @sophr2017 that's what I said, the diet of almost pure carbs hasn't been too bad!
Good luck to everyone getting theirs soon. It's so reassuring and amazing when you compare to the blob at 7w!

Moo31 · 24/04/2017 13:18

@squiggle that is amazing!! Grin

MSH2010 · 24/04/2017 13:38

16week midwife appointment tomorrow. Sometimes feels like time drags

ew1990 · 24/04/2017 15:01

Girls sickness has hit me hard, got sent home from work yesterday through being sick and I'm currently lay on my bed not able to move coz I feel so sick, it's started at 11 weeks hope it doesn't stay around for long x

MrsB12345 · 24/04/2017 17:24

@Squigglefish that's such a fab and clear picture. I have my scan on Thursday. Have MAJOR anxiety this week that there is nothing there. Also stupidly tried to (externally) feel for my uterus. As a plus size mummy to be with a wobbly belly I couldn't feel anything that was what I read to feel like a uterus. It's ridiculous as I've had no bleeding or reason to not be pregnant but I just can't imagine it. The next two days and 15 hours need to fly by x

lydiangel83 · 24/04/2017 17:33

I'm still over eating to compensate for sickness, I can't believe my baby will consist of anything except cheesy carbs and chocolate!

I don't really have any nice colleagues at work so want to hold off telling them as long as possible. Was joking with DH about how late you can leave it before it gets beyond the 'is she just fat' stage?! What do you reckon, 20 weeks?!?

Squigglefish · 24/04/2017 17:34

I had the exact same anxiety, totally understandable. I figured there was Defo something there to cause all the sickness and spots Grin keep up updated. This is so exciting and lovely we are all close with our dates.
Aww @ew1990 look after yourself and take it easy x

lydiangel83 · 24/04/2017 17:37

@mrsjkerry I bought Canesten combo cream today is that what your doctor said to use? I don't have time to get to doctor and texted midwife who said it was ok to use cream but now I'm not sure I've bought the right thing-sticking cream in to womb doesn't seem right?!

MrsNemAz · 24/04/2017 18:41

I had my 1st scan today! Turns out I'm not 12+3 but 10+3! The baby was there! We heard the heart beat but they couldn't see much because it was small and I didn't have a full bladder. I got another appointment next week Thursday. Hopefully we can see more that time 😊.

mrsjkerry · 24/04/2017 18:43

@Squigglefish very happy for you! I am still soooo scared for mine!! How did you feel before yours?? I'm certain there's nothing in there...

@MrsB12345 I feel you. Mines on Friday. So so far away...

@lydiangel83 you don't legally have to tell anyone until 15 weeks before giving birth! Imagine! It would be fairly obvious wouldn't it!! 😄 why are you buying cream? I haven't had the need for any cream. Also- I don't think it goes into your womb. The cervix is closed and the baby is well protected in amniotic fluid etc.

@mrsjkerry apologies I thought it was you that suggested it but may have been someone else! Sorry! Blush

My colleagues are all bitchy and gossipy so I just want to leave it as long as possible until I have to tell them. They leave me out of things and have a little clique so it's not like they'd care if/ when I told them. I told my boss already who was lovely about it although she is in USA so I don't speak to her often Hmm

mrsjkerry · 24/04/2017 19:09

I had to tell work early because of my sickness 👎🏻 so paranoid that there'll be nothing there on Friday and I'll have to go back in and say it was all a load of fuss for nothing

Moo31 · 24/04/2017 21:13

@ew sorry to hear you are poorly, hope it passes for you soon. I had the worst sickness from last Tuesday and until yesterday. Today I felt somewhat "normal" which was very strange. I'm 11+3 today but at my early scan I was measuring a bit further on so I think I'm actually more like 12 which would mean my worst sickness was week 11. Hope it passes for you soon. Drink lots of cold water. I read that fluids matter more in the short term so as frustrating as it is not being able to eat don't beat yourself up over it and don't force yourself to eat. I found it just made me worse mostly. Plain pasta (sometimes with some grated cheese) was manageable sometimes.

Moo31 · 24/04/2017 21:16

@Lydia that's a shame about your colleagues :( I think I'm going to tell a few ppl and just let it filter. I don't want a big announcement or a scene - I hate fuss.

@MrsNemz that's great your scan went well!

Eek it's exciting we're all close dates wise and can all share how we are feeling!

lydiangel83 · 24/04/2017 21:26

Thanks @Moo31 yes I'll need to tell a few people for practical reasons but the rest can just have a guess ;-) I have plenty of friends outside work but it does feel lonely in the office sometimes :-/

@ew1990 hope you feel better soon, I found small portions of bland carbs helped and agree you need to keep drinking water xx

sophr2017 · 24/04/2017 22:35

Ladies any advice?! I've got awful constipation, never suffered before but have all the way through this pregnancy. It's currently been 3 days without going to the loo, I've taken Senokot and that's done nothing!! I'm out in meetings all day tomorrow so that'll be fun if I suddenly need it!

Anyone else had this and any suggestions on natural remedies to take? I'll call midwife if all else fails but feel a bit daft calling about constipation! Sorry if tmi but know you ladies understand!!

ew1990 · 24/04/2017 23:28

@sophr2017 I've had it bad before pure orange juice always helps me xx

lydiangel83 · 25/04/2017 01:28

@sophr2017 I'd second orange juice and maybe some dates/ dried fruit with bran flakes if you can stomach it xx

MSH2010 · 25/04/2017 05:38

Fresh orange juice and definitely eat some black jacks x
