And big hugs @ew1990

ew1990 · 22/05/2017 16:49

I'm just physically exhausted @lydiangel83 I'm meant to do 37 hours and next week they've put me on 60 hours, I'm gunna get this week out of the way and then go doctors xx

Missonhartbaby · 22/05/2017 17:51

@ew1990 do they know your pregnant? You can't do that many hours a day on your feet so your going to need to say something!! It's abit ridiculous if they know your pregnant and are still expecting you to do 12 hrs plus!! And you have every right to say I physically can't do that... Theres nothing they can/say do about it really!

Missonhartbaby · 22/05/2017 17:55

And @victoriaaaa your nipples and boobs are gonna go through a whole load of changes! My boobs are constantly tender a my nipples are darker and more pronounced for sure!

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 18:28

Is anyone else getting frequent twinges / mild cramps in second trimester? I'm 16+4 and really feeling a lot of things. Got midwife routine check up tomorrow so will ask her but starting to get a bit concerned!

ew1990 · 22/05/2017 19:04

Yes they do they've known for a while now, I'm going to have a word with my manager tomorrow and just tell her I'm not coping xx

carbqueen88 · 22/05/2017 19:09

Only 2/3 weeks pregnant
Slight cramps and VERY sensitive nipples! Xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 22/05/2017 20:21

Got quite a lot of cramps. I've been so tearful today and really worried. I keep thinking with every pain this is it :-( going to speak to the doctor about it.

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 20:35

@carbqueen88 nipples do get less sensitive xx

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 20:36

@Bubbasmama2017 sorry to hear that :(Flowers

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 21:07

Hi girls do u mind if I join for some advice..

My stats r

Age 28
TTC#2
Baby 1
BFP achieved 15/5
EDD - Jan sometime lol
Think im about 6 weeks exactly today.

Iv been quite crampy and twingeY - I spoke to midwife today at EPU. She said the most common cause of cramps lower abdo pain in early pregnancy is actually ur bowel. She said everything slows down and that's why u end up so bloated etc (which I am ad I'm sure some of you have said same) she said to keep an eye on it & up my fibre & try some peppermint tea.

Not going to lie it's fine today - but in turn is that making me freak more I cannot win.

Was anyone else like this early on xxx

MrsB12345 · 22/05/2017 21:28

@AmandaP86x I had those exact symptoms. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant and my midwife checked the heartbeat last Friday and all is well. 12 week scan was also normal x

ew1990 · 22/05/2017 21:42

@AmandaP86x I had exactly the same, abdominal pain so bad doctor sent me for early scan, turned out I had UTI and cyst on left ovary, don't forget a lot of changes going on it does hurt whilst everything grows xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 23/05/2017 10:45

Just had my 20 week scan and baby is doing great, no risk so no more scans as a rule now unless MW refers at any stage, may have to pay for a few private ones Grin

He was sucking away at his thumb and kicking as well!

Aw MSH! It's insane the level of stuff they can check isn't it?! I was amazed when they showed the heart and all it's chambers and where the blood was flowing!

KrsJd · 23/05/2017 11:38

Everyone's got such lovely 20 week scan photos I feel obliged to add mine and see if you agree that the baby looks like a Jolly Roger Confused baby wasn't playing ball and refused to move into a photogenic position despite our efforts. Hands over face, legs crossed, face down, didn't wanna know! Fortunately after about an hour the sonographer was able to check for all abnormalities so baby is all good!

TheLionQueen1 · 23/05/2017 11:54

Ah this so annoying KrsJd!! Ours had his legs squished up at the bottom so she had to put on notes that he wasn't text book position so slight harder to check some stuff but he was waving his arms all over the place and arching his back. Glad you managed to get there in the end, don't think I'd fancy an hour of their poking Confused it gets quite uncomfortable doesn't it!

lydiangel83 · 23/05/2017 13:16

I heard baby's heartbeat for first time today, had 16 Wk appt was lovely and surreal. Took video for DH as he couldn't come.

Nice scans ladies :) xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 23/05/2017 14:23

Opinions please :)

Meant to be off to Burger King here later (benidorm) I've been really picky with what I've been eating. Would a burger be ok is it like ours? I've been avoiding the salad etc everywhere but I don't know if it'd be ok there in a fast food restaurant

Monkeypuzzle32 · 23/05/2017 15:10

Moo that was me, thank you.
I've got my private clinic scan tomorrow but today I'm really worried-I've had back pain start today and I know that it can be normal but also a sign of miscarriage!

88claire · 23/05/2017 15:44

Victoriaaaa

I really wouldn't worry so much. People never used to avoid anything and the risks of certain things harming you or the baby are tiny (I'm a children's nurse).

I'm 18 weeks and just came back from a week in Turkey and didn't change my eating habits, used all the different suncreams and mozzie sprays and all is fine (and I'm sure the Turkish food etc is more suspect than Spanish!) I even finally managed to put some of my sickness weight back on so it's probably done me good.

Now go and enjoy your holiday and relax! Grin

lydiangel83 · 23/05/2017 16:06

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I had a milkshake in McDonalds in Japan (I know, I was desperate!) and then read that soft serve icecream may have listeria in the machinery that makes it. I was fine throughout despite eating baby squid for breakfast and a tiny bit of sushi!

I agree with @88claire - I think relax and enjoy it :)

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 23/05/2017 16:12

Thanks girls :)

I'm only 24 and 5 years ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis! It's nowhere near as bad as some people you see.

I've decided to come off my medication for it (it was safe to stay on it) I'd rather give the baby a drug free pregnancy :) a lot of people go into remission when pregnant so fingers crossed. All my anxiety came from when I was diagnosed with my RA. I googled my symptoms and it came up with it and I convinced myself I had it (which I did). Now I worry when I read online about something that it will happen because I was right about my RA if you get me?

I'm trying to overcome my anxiety and it does seem to be working slowly.
