Girls I've weighed myself today and I've put on a stone and a pound since finding out 9 week ago! I was very slim to begin with only like 8stone5 but didn't think I'd put over a stone on xxx

lydiangel83 · 15/05/2017 20:53

Not sure what that is in kg @ew1990 but I've put on all over about 5kg and am currently 15+5 xx

ew1990 · 15/05/2017 20:57

7kg I've put on, I thought it was a bit much, I've always eaten loads and never put weight on, I'm not complaining I love seeing my body change it's proof of this little miracle xx

Squigglefish · 15/05/2017 21:12

I've not weighed myself. I'll find out the damage on Thursday when I'm at the midwife on Thursday. My body has stayed normal apart from this tummy. I like it :)

Missonhartbaby · 15/05/2017 21:13

Hi ladies! I thought i'd join in and say hi! Hope everyone is doing well and little bumps are coming along nicely :) I'm 18 week today anyone else around the same? When do I start feeling little one move?!? I can't wait!

KrsJd · 15/05/2017 21:31

@ElleMcElle re: pregnancy pillows. I bought a dreamgenii at 7 weeks because I had bad back pain. I got to about 18 weeks and it was no longer enough stuffing between the legs Grin so I've added a memory foam knee pillow that's kind of shaped like an hourglass for between my legs (found it keeps my hips open wide enough and they don't ache?) dream genii wedged into my back and a bump wedge for under the bump. Kinda wedged myself in but it's pretty comfortable .... for now Grin

KrsJd · 15/05/2017 21:33

@Missonhartbaby congrats! I felt for the first time at around 18 weeks but doubted it til I felt again at 19 weeks so I think it's easy to miss! It didn't match the "fluttering" sensations etc I read about but when I read somewhere that someone said it felt like a tapping it suddenly clicked! It was also a single, lone "tap" right as I was falling asleep (shocked me awake again!) so I wasn't certain for another week till it happened a couple more times! Now I'm 23 weeks and feeling quite a lot of movement so won't be long til you do! Grin

Missonhartbaby · 15/05/2017 21:44

@krsJD aw amazing I can't wait! Yea I've heard it's like a fluttering or rolling sensation... Good to know it could be any kind of movement though! Il look out for tapping too! Did you find out the sex at your 20 week Scan... Mines on the 6th of June, can't wait to find out and just to make sure everything is all ok still! My bumps growing bigger so I'm assuming so! Haha

KrsJd · 15/05/2017 22:15

@Missonhartbaby no we're keeping it as a surprise! It's a bit of a family tradition to so we never really considered it! I've nearly gone back on my word a couple of times when I've come across some cute, gender-specific clothing usually! But we stayed strong and looked away at the scan! Had a rubbish scan though, babe wasn't game for being photogenic, so we didn't come away with any cute photos Envy

Missonhartbaby · 15/05/2017 22:25

@KrsJD that's so lovely! I have to find out, I would love to but it would drive me mad not knowing!! Oh no! nightmare! My 12 week scan was abit like that, baby wouldn't move enough for her to measure bubba, luckily I did get one nice photo though! It's all about knowing little. Have you had baby's heartbeat listened to at all in your checkups cos I haven't yet and it's just so nice to hear!

KrsJd · 15/05/2017 22:37

@Missonhartbaby we came away with a scan photo of the feet Grin

Yeah I have it's the best sound ever. I recorded it at one of my MW appt as OH couldn't make it and it's my favourite to replay ☺️

Missonhartbaby · 15/05/2017 22:53

@KrsJD hope il be able to hear my bubbas heartbeat in my next MW apts then... They didn't offer it at my 16 week one :( got a consultant apt on weds so hopefully she'll do one! Grin Aw well it's better than nothing I guess!

MSH2010 · 16/05/2017 06:03

It's strange how every area is different because I'd complained to my doctor about the pains due to the amount of coughing I was doing whilst ill he found both (twins) at 12 weeks. Then my mw did them at 16 weeks.
Got my 20 week scan on Friday.

I used to have flutters on n off from 10 weeks then they stopped between 15 and 19 weeks. Last night I started getting strange feelings but clearly trying to kick. I've done a lot of dressage with my horse over the last few years so getti g through my core muscle is clearly taking time. Definitely got a bump now though at 19 +3

TheLionQueen1 · 16/05/2017 06:49

My 20 week scan is a week today but we already know we're having a boy because of a private scan at 17 weeks. They wouldn't check heart beat at our 16 week scan either so we bought a Doppler!

I'm on holiday at the moment and I was asked my the lady at the check in desk, the flight attendant and a bar lady at the hotel how far gone I am so guessing my bump must be pretty obvious 😂

TheLionQueen1 · 16/05/2017 06:50

And congrats/welcome to everyone new!!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 09:30

please tell me if i'm being stupid - i'm only between 4/5 weeks pregnant.

i went to work today, went to toilet and didn't realize that the toilet had been bleached. Now i'm worried that i got some of it on my area because the toilet seat felt wet! Went back and wiped with wet toilet roll but now a bit sore.

Do you think this could do any damage to the baby?

HannahD1991 · 16/05/2017 09:48

Hi everyone, I've started to bleed today. So scared. Currently in a queue to get through to my early pregnancy unit. It's like a darkish blood seems to be mixed with discharge, sorry I know that may be TMI I'm just terrified. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks Sad xx

MummyM33 · 16/05/2017 10:01

Hi Hannah, I've had this dark blood and mine then turned red with large clots. Like you I was terrified but two scans later everything seems ok... touch wood! Just need to get to my next scan now!
The best thing to do is get a scan. I had to be referred by my doctor to the EPU otherwise they wouldn't see me. I hope you get a scan and that everything is ok x

Monkeypuzzle32 · 16/05/2017 11:10

Victoriaaaa no it won't hurt the baby but could burn your skin

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 11:19

@HannahD1991 oh no, i'm hoping everything's going to be ok for you! How far along are you?

ew1990 · 16/05/2017 11:27

@HannahD1991 I had it at ten weeks and everything was fine, best thing to do is to get it checked like you are doing, xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 12:45

my dog's poorly and me and hubby are meant to be off to vets later.
suddenly dawned on me that cats might be there and i'm so petrified of catching toxoplasmosis!
has anyone been to the vets while pregnant?

HannahD1991 · 16/05/2017 12:49

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies x I took myself to the EPU and they examined me, said everything looked normal but they have booked me in for an emergency scan tomorrow morning as the pain worsened whilst I was in the emergency room. The blood has stopped though and the pain has gone right down so I'm trying to think positive. I definitely wont sleep tonight! X

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 12:54

@HannahD1991 fingers crossed everything is ok at the scan tomorrow! i'll be thinking of you

MSH2010 · 16/05/2017 14:42

Victoria I have cats at home and have been to the vets. Not had a problem
Not like you'll be handling the cats litter tray and that's were the risk come from (as far as I'm aware)!
