@Jessiecat27 she sounds awful but also incredibly stupid. Being pregnant is a protected characteristic and that sounds like bullying and harassment to me. I'd put a formal complaint into work including words such as how stressful this has been and creating anxiety about coming to work. Having a print screen is evidence and she will be dealt with and if your employer don't deal with her, go to ACAS. They'll deal with it for you - presuming your based in the UK x

The spotting scare is over, nothing in over about 24 hours now... :) I was so annoyed that it scared me so much, but I thought I'd got over my post BFP nervousness around doing exercise and stuff, and then that happened! and it's made me nervous again!

ElleMcElle · 14/05/2017 13:32

@Squigglefish - I had exactly the sort of pain you describe yesterday (5+4) and it worried me - but then it went away...

@Fela - I don't think you need to feel annoyed at yourself for feeling nervous about things like that (I hope not, anyway - as I'm freaking out about EVERY little twinge!).

My legs were hurting so much last night - really disrupted my sleep.

Hope you're all doing well! I feel so incredibly grateful to be pregnant - I hope it lasts. We got pregnant on our first cycle and I keep worrying that it's all too good to be true.

Bubbasmama2017 · 14/05/2017 17:07

I've been so worried all day :-( had usual pains but more frequently had a late night last night and spent more time on my feet yesterday than usual so hoping its that. 13 weeks now and wishing I could relax. Going to book a 16 week scan anyone else done that for reassurance? Don't think I can wait another 7 weeks until the hospital anomaly scam x

Bubbasmama2017 · 14/05/2017 17:08

Do you get restless legs @ellemcelle? I've really struggled with that especially when I feel anxious

Fela · 14/05/2017 18:03

Bubbasmama2017 - We're paying for an early scan (8 weeks) and to be honest, I'm planning on trying to save for a 16 week scan.... I'm just someone who wants to feel proactive, I hate waiting around... not very patient and easily worried :)

ew1990 · 14/05/2017 21:46

Anyone else waking up in the night extremely thirsty? This past week I wake up 4/5 times with my mouth really dry and so so thirsty xxx

lydiangel83 · 15/05/2017 00:12

@ew1990 yes all the time! drinking loads even though drank a lot of water before pregnancy and my nightly wee breaks have gone from 1-2 to 3-4! I'm not sure much can be done about it tho :-/

ElleMcElle · 15/05/2017 00:13

@Bubbasmama2017 - not so much restless, just very sore and can't find a way to lie comfortably. Feels like the bones (particularly my knees) are rubbing against each other and experiencing a lot of pressure, as if I suddenly don't have any flesh on my bones to cushion them! Very strange sensation and difficult to describe. Will try a pillow between my legs, but I thought that was more for later in pregnancy...

Bubbasmama2017 · 15/05/2017 08:23

@ellemcelle I know what you mean! Same with my ankles sometimes. I have to fold the duvet over and put in between my legs.

TheLionQueen1 · 15/05/2017 08:33

I'm on holiday and have treated myself to a mum to be beauty treatment in the spa, it's supposed to be wonderful for aches and pains and my hips are killing so fingers crossed!

Elle I've got friends that have sworn by those pillows in pregnancy even from newly pregnant, could be worth a go?

Squigglefish · 15/05/2017 08:54

@ElleMcElle I'm getting the exact same thing with you knees. It's almost like I'm hypersensitive to them touching. It's really uncomfortable. I remember that starting very early on, I'm almost 16weeks now.

MSH2010 · 15/05/2017 09:33

Morning all, hope everyone is well.
I'm 19+2 with twins and got my 20 week scan on friday. Been uncomfortable most the weekend but have discovered why this morning as the twins have moved and are now in a bunk bed position, so sitting at work is fun this morning as ones under my ribs but above my waist band. I've always sat poorly in my office chair so this isn't helping today

ElleMcElle · 15/05/2017 10:59

Glad it's not just me - I will investigate the pregnancy pillows! Any recommendations? x

Jessiecat27 · 15/05/2017 11:29

Hope everyone is okay! I've just had the polyp removed, feeling a bit crampy now but he used forceps which I've heard bad things about? Still worried but I have a scan at two so hopefully all is still well!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 11:36

Hi everyone i'm new here.

Last Thursday i found out i was pregnant with my frist (up to now have taken 4 pregnancy tests which were positive) and we're so excited although i can't stop worrying! Every time i go to the toilet i pray i'm not bleeding!

I'm off on holiday on Saturday to Benidorm so i'm hoping that flying doesn't affect my baby in any way! Doctors said it shouldn't do but you can't help but worry!

Jessiecat27 · 15/05/2017 11:45

@victoria congratulations! I think people still worry the whole way through about bleeding so try and not worry too much! Flying won't affect you I don't think but just be careful of what you eat abroad and drink bottles water rather than tap!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 11:51

@Jessiecat27 thank you for your kind words!

i've been quite lucky came off of the pill mid april after my last 'period' then last week found out i was pregnant. Clearblue says conception was 1-2 weeks ago (i know to take that with a pinch of salt) but all i seem to be doing is burping! all the time just burping!! Keep getting little cramps like period cramps but not if you get my in my abdomen area and once of twice in my back! Thank god the cramps only come every now and again! No sickness yet! Just loads and loads of bloating! Smile

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 11:52

(the cramps aren't painful just uncomfortable/annoying haha)

ew1990 · 15/05/2017 12:26

My boss has just asked me if I want To go and get a form later for some bigger uniforms, guess that means I'm starting to show to other people too! They have gone extremely tight and so uncomfy xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 14:51

how do you all stop worrying about what 'could' happen?
all i do is worry!

ew1990 · 15/05/2017 15:15

I don't think you can stop, I still worry now at 14 weeks xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 15:20

@ew1990 that's comforting lol, i think once i have my 12 week scan it'll all settle in a lot more!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2017 16:24

bit of a random question - can we eat slow cooked gammon?

If we can see below :)

Say you've cooked it, put it in the fridge and then putting it in a curry or something would you still be able to eat it then?

Monkeypuzzle32 · 15/05/2017 19:54

ElleMcElle totally get what you mean about being grateful-I won't let myself think ahead just in case
