Victoria don't worry you're perfectly safe going to the vets! The advise for cats is to not handle the litter trays but if you must then use gloves (I've got two cats)

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 15:40

thank you :)

i thought i was doing good and then a cat turned up in its crate!
kept hands in pockets and tried to keep my distance

MissMeg97 · 16/05/2017 16:55

Hi everyone in new here. As my boyfriend is working away I haven't told anyone yet that I am pregnant. Only 2-3 weeks at the moment. I am scared as hell and don't know how he is going to react. I know he won't want this baby. His brother has just had twins, but they have their own place, stable jobs, and have been together for a very long time. How do I break it to him and what should I do now?

Missonhartbaby · 16/05/2017 17:11

@hannahD1991 fingers crossed for you and hopefully it's nothing :) sounds promising so far!!
@MSH2010 and @thelionqueen1 it is odd how everywhere is different. I'm hoping he will listen for a heartbeat tomorrow, just to put my mind at ease. How do you find the dopplers? I feel abit iffy about using one in case I just can't find it!!

HannahD1991 · 16/05/2017 17:26

Thank you @Missonhartbaby and @Victoriaaaaaaaa. I'm staying hopeful Star

@MissMeg97 hope you're ok x try to realise that you have both made a baby, it wasn't just you! How are you feeling about being pregnant? Are you happy? I think you should just call him and tell him, you might be surprised by his reaction. Have you got other people around you you can speak to? Hope everything goes ok x

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 20:40

What are you all like with your 'symptoms'?

Last week I had really bad burping, cramps and constipation (sorry tmi) but now I have nothing everything seems to have calmed down. Nipples are a bit sore but I don't know if it's because I keep checking to see if they're sensitive yet!

Anyone else basically 'symptom' free or had them disappear for a bit and then come back?

Feel like I need to do more pregnancy tests to keep making sure.

lydiangel83 · 16/05/2017 21:51

I'm feeling much less sick than I was altho still eating a lot! I do sometimes worry that I don't 'feel' pregnant lol! What are we like?!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 16/05/2017 21:57

@lydiangel83 glad it's not just me! How far along are you? :)

ew1990 · 16/05/2017 22:11

I don't really feel pregnant, aside from little bump and sore nipples if I touch them I've got nothing lol xx

Brens13 · 16/05/2017 22:23

Yep symptom free here now too. Have only had minor ones anyway but seem to have just dropped off. Trying not to worry too much! (especially in front of the posters who are puking all day everyday, poor ladies!)

Jessiecat27 · 17/05/2017 00:04

Well I made the mistake of eating spicy crisps today, followed by me then throwing up, can't eat anything spicy! Books are sore on/off, tired and I get dizzy every time I stand up. I'm sure I've started feeling movements and oh has too, it's so strange because I didn't think you could this early! Definitely not wind as it's a different feeling. I've been burping a lot too which I rarely do normally!

Missonhartbaby · 17/05/2017 00:09

I'm pretty much symptom free apart from a fairly noticeable bump at 18 weeks and horrendously sore boobs!!! I also get very mild cramping too but have been told that's all normal! It's a odd feeling though to not feel all that pregnant, I feel like I was constant reassurance that I am! Haha

MissMeg97 · 17/05/2017 00:25

@hannahD1991, I plan on telling him Monday night as he isn't at work the next day. Feel like I need to tell him face to face. How do I feel? I don't know, it still hasn't suck in! I don't know whether to cry or smile. I don't feel like I can be happy about it just yet. I have an appointment with the nurse on Friday, what should I expect?

lydiangel83 · 17/05/2017 02:26

@Victoriaaaaaaaa 16 weeks today! Can't believe it! I had a few weeks added to my progress when I went for early scan so went from 9+6 to 13+2, good way to speed things along lol!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 17/05/2017 09:26

caved in and bought another pregnancy test today because i didn't 'feel' pregnant!

last week clear blue said 1-2 weeks and today it said 2-3 weeks! :)

still panicking about the cat poop! my dogs love to run over mud where they could have pooped but trying to keep them at bay. I've also read that the cat is only infectious in their poop for 3 weeks from when they go it so it's basically just pot luck or not so luck. As you can probably tell i suffer from bad anxiety always expecting the worse!

Bubbasmama2017 · 17/05/2017 12:49

@Victoria I'm the same every twinge I feel I freak out. I've been really sick for the last 8 weeks and the other day I wasn't sick all day and totally freaked out I wasn't pregnant any more Hmm

Tillums · 17/05/2017 13:01

Hi ladies!
I've been away from the boards for a while after my mc. Some of you may remember me or recognise my name, for those who don't, I was in the First of this board and had a mc at the end of March.
I had a little catch up read the other day, so lovely to see how some of you have come along and posted pics of your scans!!
I've just had another BFP! We haven't been trying at all since the mc and I haven't had a period since my mc either so I'm a little concerned. I didn't think we had dtd enough for me to catch already! EPU are scanning me this Friday to make sure everything is ok and confirm that this is a new pregnancy and also to help me try to date it I guess!!
Still, I'm feeling really quite sick this time round and peeing every 20 minutes round the clock!
The symptoms, as annoying as they are, are at least making me feel a little more reassured this time round!
I'm so glad to be back and have some positive news!
How are you all getting on and coping with your morning sickness etc xxx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 17/05/2017 13:05

@Tillums i have none! i feel like i'm missing out on one of the 'most common' symptoms!

Missonhartbaby · 17/05/2017 13:13

@victoriaaaaa I totally get how you feel, I took a pregnancy test every week for the first 2 months because I didn't have morning sickness or anything and was just so paranoid that I actually wasn't pregnant! But now I'm in my second trimester and all is good, no symptoms is actually a good thing! Enjoy it! Also I have two cats and I've been completely fine, my OH does the litter trays most of the times but sometimes I have to, I just make sure to wash my hands very well :)
@tillums good luck with your BFP, fingers crossed it's a sticky one for you :)

ew1990 · 17/05/2017 13:22

@Tillums aww congratulations! Hoping for a sticky rainbow baby for you! Keep us updated xx

Jessiecat27 · 17/05/2017 13:25

Tillums congratulations and welcome back! Hoping all goes well for you this time!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 17/05/2017 13:27

@Missonhartbaby Thank you for your kind words and i guess no symptoms is a good thing unlike our purses when we're buying pregnancy tests!

Also about the cats that's good :) are yours indoor or outdoor? I just get so paranoid about these things! Do you still pet them as normal? I'm such a goon haha

Tillums · 17/05/2017 14:16

Thanks all for the well wishes!
And to those not getting symptoms, you are so lucky! Morning sickness is NOT fun and not limited to morning!!
Lotsa lubbs to you all! Xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 17/05/2017 14:45

is it bad that i find myself not hungry but when i do eat say tea that i'm eating basically the same thing?

only around 5 weeks!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 17/05/2017 15:17
