Ew it's probably all our iced fingers and space invaders 😂😂

Bubbasmama2017 · 09/05/2017 18:55

@thelionqueen1 are we allowed senekot? I've had terrible constipation and just been treating it with prune juice but doesn't always help x

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 19:06

Bubba I haven't spoken to MW about it but have checked at manufacturer info online, other forums and on the packet and decided I was happy to take it. Maybe speak to MW if you're unsure? X

Babyblues14 · 09/05/2017 19:10

21 weeks here and dont feel pregannt, have managed to clean my whole house today. I'm enjoying having the energy but still get worried something is wrong. The only comfort is my top keeps riding up while I'm rushing about so I can see my bump, anyone else about my stage and not feeling much??

Tinyti83 · 09/05/2017 19:13

@NatDorey1. Yes feeling very uncomfortably bloated and like you @TheLionQueen1 I've also suffered with awful constipation since taking the folic acid daily! Oh the joys hey!? That, the tiredness, the nausea, sore/swollen boobs etc this first trimester lark is a real treat isn't it!? X

ew1990 · 09/05/2017 19:19

Just out of curiosity for those who have had there 12 weeks scans did anyone not have the screening tests? We opted to not have them xx

Babyblues14 · 09/05/2017 19:37

I had them, no idea what they did but it came back as low risk but it wouldn't have mattered either way xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 19:39

We opted out as well Ew, I just wouldn't have wanted the next stage of screening if required and knew my decision about the baby wouldn't change!

stepmum88 · 09/05/2017 19:54

Have my 20wk scan tomorrow- for some reason am quite worried. Have friends who found out at their 20 wk scan that their little
Boy had s diaphragmatic hernia. He was delivered this week (28wks) & is doing ok in NICU. Am I right to be worried? Did anyone else have this? X

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 19:57

Stepmum, I'm not that far yet only 18 weeks but I had a scan 4 days ago to find out the sex and was really worrying before that as hadn't had one since 12 weeks, and I know I'll be worrying at my 20 week scan despite only having one a few weeks before! Think it's really normal

Glad to hear your friends DS is doing well!

Monkeypuzzle32 · 09/05/2017 20:18

Can I join in? I am 7w+4 after a FET, in my 40's, this has been years of trying and a failed IVF and early miscarriage at Christmas. I hardly dare to think it might actually happen and I literally have no clue on what to do next, I have been testing with those cheap strips everyday and I'm due back at the clinic on 24th May for a scan. When do I tell my gp-we contacted them last time and they said they didn't do pregnancy tests, basically not very interested inspite of my 'geriatric' age!

stepmum88 · 09/05/2017 20:19

Thanks @TheLionQueen1 - is nice to know I'm not the only one! I don't know why I'm worried- baby's heartbeat was galloping away at 16 wk check, and have felt movements every day, but still paranoid! X

Fela · 09/05/2017 21:25

Got through to my community midwife today, I'm still super early (4+3) and she's booked me in for seeing her on 19 June which will be the start of week 11.. but she told me to call if I had any questions or concerns.

Also just bought a booked called"Expecting Better" which I'm finding very useful.

I felt mildly nauseated off and on today...

Jessiecat27 · 10/05/2017 08:28

Ladies has anyone else had a watery bleed? No pain and there wasn't a lot, sort of like a brown/red? I'm nearly 13 weeks now and I'm worrying

ew1990 · 10/05/2017 10:06

@Jessiecat27 I had a bit of brown spotting and then watery pink, I was ten week, I work at a hospital so went to a and e and they booked me in for a scan at EPU a week later, everything was fine, ring your midwife if your worried, I felt proper daft going to a and e but I panicked so much xx

ew1990 · 10/05/2017 10:07

@Jessiecat27 have you had sex lately too? Sorry if a bit personal but that can cause a little bleed xx

Jessiecat27 · 10/05/2017 12:21

Ew I ended up ringing 111 because I thought it was best to get advice. They sent me to a maternity unit by me and they think I have a cervical polyp, didn't even know you can get one there! They think that's what's caused it but sending me for a scan next week and some tests just to make sure it's benign. Slightly less stressed now!

Bubbasmama2017 · 10/05/2017 12:53

Hi girls I need a bit of advice has anyone had a UTI during pregnancy? I think I may have one feel dizzy more sick than usual and a bit of pain in my bits (sorry can't think of anything to describe it!!) I had midwife appointment a couple of weeks ago and she took my wee and said it had nitrates in but would call if I need to take anti biotic but never heard from her. Wondering if I should call her. X

lydiangel83 · 10/05/2017 13:08

@Bubbasmama2017 yes I had one and didn't realise at first, pain was more abdominal than in my 'bits' but doc suggested I had urine test and went to EPU re abdominal pain. Good job I did as scan showed I was 13+2 not 9+6 as I thought I was, and a week of antibiotics which made me feel awful (sorry!) sorted the infection. Good luck!

lydiangel83 · 10/05/2017 13:08

@Bubbasmama2017 oh and I also had thrush at the time so was generally unpleasant feeling all round!

ew1990 · 10/05/2017 14:53

@Bubbasmama2017 I had one in the beginning that caused horrendous pain, that's why I had early scan xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 10/05/2017 16:09

Would it be the midwife I need to speak to or the doctor? Are the anti biotics ok for the baby? X

ew1990 · 10/05/2017 16:32

They give you ones safe to take, I rang my doctors xx

Fela · 10/05/2017 18:42

The midwife booked me in for the booking appointment at 10 weeks, is this normal? She did say to call her if I had any concerns, but I guess I'm just surprised that it will be so long before I see a medical professional!

Squigglefish · 10/05/2017 18:50

@bubbasmama2017 I've just had something very similar. It seems to have gone away in its own when I upped my water intake but I'm still going to mention it to midwife next week. It was like pain in my urethra almost like cystitis :(
