ew1990 · 08/05/2017 13:31

Hopefully, managed some toast and feel a bit better now xx

Hi Ladies,

Has any of you taken any painkillers since you are aware of your pregnancy? I'm suffering from a very bad headache and it started yesterday morning. It's just not going away. On the NHS website it states that there is no evidence that taking a low dosage of paracetamol would harm the baby however they also mentioned that all medication should be avoided in the first trimester. I'm around 12+4now so technically just about to finish the first trimester.

MSH2010 · 08/05/2017 15:12

I was on paracetamol for 10 days whilst I was 10/11weeks

@Tinyti83 I have had the same symptoms as you. I'm roughly 7 weeks and feel nausea no actual sickness and experience the shortness of breath too. I hope this is a normal but yet to have a mw appointment. X

Tinyti83 · 08/05/2017 19:25

@NatDorey1. Well I'm glad I'm not the only one having this then, I'm sure it's normal from what I read but the breathlessness was a surprise, I've got my first midwife appointment on Wednesday this week so will ask the question and let you know Hun x

ElsieBelle92 · 08/05/2017 19:46

First doctors app tomorrow! I know not to expect much, but can anyone give me an idea as to what might happen? Do they still takes bloods and stuff?

ew1990 · 08/05/2017 20:01

@ElsieBelle92 is it with doctor or midwife? X

ElsieBelle92 · 08/05/2017 20:06

With the GP x

ew1990 · 08/05/2017 20:07

My first doctors appointment was 30 seconds, told him I was pregnant, he told me to go to the reception and book a midwife appointment for when I'm 8 weeks x

ew1990 · 08/05/2017 20:08

The midwife took my blood

NatDorey1 · 08/05/2017 20:15

@Tinyti83 ah great thank you, all the best x

tinywithtoes · 08/05/2017 20:35

Midwife called today I have my first appointment on the 1st of June I'll be 8 weeks .. I'm scared today I've had no cramps and I don't "feel" pregnant ! I was suppose to be having a op to remove my gallbladder due to stones which now won't happen but when I went to see the doctors to see him re my meds he said gallbladders are often effected by pregnancy

MrsB12345 · 08/05/2017 22:03

@tinywithtoes I wouldn't worry about 'feeling' pregnant. I'm 14 weeks and don't feel pregnant a lot of the time. As long as you've not had severe cramps / heavy bleeding I'd say you are ok. The first 12 weeks are the worst x

ElsieBelle92 · 09/05/2017 10:50

Did anyone else spot faintly in the first few weeks? Its a very dark colour and very light and only when i wipe (i know TMI SORRYYYY)

Its not quite implantation i don't think its been happening for more than a week on and off.

Also had mild cramps since the beginning, no where near as bad as my period ones but on and off dull aching xxxx

ew1990 · 09/05/2017 13:21

@ElsieBelle92 it's only recently my cramps have stopped, felt like I was going to come on all the time, don't forget everything's stretching and growing it's gunna cause a little pain xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 09/05/2017 17:56

Just bought 3 chocolate bars and ate 2 in about 1 minute. I would never have done that before! Feel ashamed but also want to eat the 3rd one Hmm

ew1990 · 09/05/2017 17:58

Eat the 3rd one! I disgust myself sometimes with the amount of crap I eat, I just double up on veg or salad to make up for it 😂😂 xx

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 17:59

I've just eaten 3 bags of chocolate animals and a packet of space invaders on the way home, I wouldn't worry about it Bubbas 😂😂

On a separate note, one of my clients asked me if I had some special news to share today, so guess I'm showing then!! She said she never normally asks as could be wrong but she knows me quite well and obviously it's apparent...I quite liked it being recognised!

NatDorey1 · 09/05/2017 18:10

Hi, I've read the bloating is normal but is anyone else feeling like it's really uncomfortable?

ew1990 · 09/05/2017 18:11

I ate 4 iced fingers last night in bed! It's terrible haha xx

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 18:21

Ew now I just really really want an iced finger 😂

TheLionQueen1 · 09/05/2017 18:22

Nat I've been super bloated, not helped by the fact I have been so constipated during this pregnancy, which I've never had before! I'm using senokot more and more regularly at the moment, think it's pretty normal!

ew1990 · 09/05/2017 18:26

@TheLionQueen1 constipation is the worse! I've suffered from it so bad lately xz
