Bubba, I'm having to go back after 4 months most likely, sucks doesn't it! Mat pay is horrendous! We are just saving away now and are going to re-evaluate in the next few months about time I can have. Luckily I can go back part time and be paid full time so it's not all bad.

Also interested in book suggestions!

HannahD1991 · 05/05/2017 20:01

Hi everyone! Hope I'm ok to join. I'm just over 4 weeks so very early! It's my first time pregnancy and I am soo worried and anxious that something is going to go wrong. I have been having cramping the last couple of days in my lower abdomen, like a sort of 'pull' pain by my ovaries if that makes sense? Is this normal? My Drs appointment is Tuesday!

I get really bad anxiety though and I cannot stop thinking the worst and panicking every time I have a twinge or pain!! Sorry guys and thanks for any advice xx

ew1990 · 05/05/2017 20:05

@HannahD1991 I had pulling and pinching early on, but I'm still not sure what's normal and what is if that makes sense xx

HannahD1991 · 05/05/2017 20:09

@ew1990 yeah I know what you mean, I guess a whole lot goes on down there! I'm just worrying because it's so early.

Thanks for your response :) x

Expecting2017 · 05/05/2017 20:28

Hannah I had that and apparently it's implantation. I thought I was going to come on for about a week. No period. And then boobs started hurting so did a test and hey presto pregnant lol x

MrsB12345 · 05/05/2017 20:53

We did our 'official' fb announcement today. Used this pic. It's all real now. Everyone knows!Grin

I let my oldest best friend write a status, it's her birthday too today and we've been through thick and think together, she's so excited for me xx

TheLionQueen1 · 05/05/2017 21:03

Love that MrsB!!

ElsieBelle92 · 05/05/2017 21:08

Thats super cute!!

ElsieBelle92 · 05/05/2017 21:12

HannahD I'm just over four weeks and have my first Drs app on Tuesday too and am having the EXACT same thing. I keep going to the bathroom thinking my period has stared but nothing, I also have been spotting, almost like two implantation blees a few days apart. Anyone know what that could be?

Im a bit of an emotional wreck to be honest but so happy if everything goes right xx

tinywithtoes · 05/05/2017 21:32

@HannahD1991 hi congrats I'm 4 weeks 3 days
I'm Having the same !

ew1990 · 05/05/2017 21:53

@ElsieBelle92 I had spotting at ten week and everything's fine I think it will be implantation at 4 weeks xx

lydiangel83 · 06/05/2017 00:03

Hi girls is anyone doing any exercise / keep fit? I'm shocked at the size of my bum and thighs and body all over has put on weight. Was a 10 now barely fit in to a 12, I blame morning sickness period where could only eat cheesy carbs!

I know weight gain is normal and healthy I just want to keep a little fit as still only 14+2 so will be size of a house by the end if not careful!

Moo31 · 06/05/2017 08:17

Just got caught up, I've had a busy week.
To those having cramps and twinges - I had those between 4 and 6 weeks. Never usually got bad period pains so it was very worrying but from everything I read it's normal.

Did you know that the placenta is an entirely new organ that we have to grow?? I didn't! A friend was telling me at the weekend! No wonder we get pains and tiredness! Our bodies are working their asses off to create a miracle. I'm still mind blown by the fact that there's an actual little person growing inside me!

All those scan pics are amazing!! Grin Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend!

Moo31 · 06/05/2017 08:20

Oh and welcome to the newbies and congrats! The first few weeks were honestly the most nerve wracking time of my life!

@Lydia - I go to aqua aerobics. It's highly recommended when pg. I started the day before I got my bfp and kept it on. I spoke to the instructor and she was keen on kept coming but just told me a few of the moves that I shouldn't do. I think some areas do antenatal aqua aerobics classes (but not mine!) I also keep meaning to look for an antenatal yoga / pilates class as I would love to try that too!

HannahD1991 · 06/05/2017 08:26

@ElsieBelle92 @tinywithtoes congrats!!! Same Elsie I'm literally scared to go the toilet, but from what everyone's saying it all sounds normal! The bleeding will just be implantation bleeding, I've had a tiny bit a couple days sago too. Know how you feel though, I keep snapping at everyone over silly things but it's just because I'm so anxious 😩 we will feel a bit less anxious after our Dr's apps!!

@tinywithtoes When's your Dr's appointment? It's so hard when you don't know what's you're suppose to feel and not feel isn't it!

That announcement baby grow pic is so cute! How long did everyone wait to tell close fam like grandparents and your siblings?

Xx

tinywithtoes · 06/05/2017 08:42

@HannahD1991
I did a self referral to the midwife as told to do so by the receptionist as my doctors they will be in contact within 7 days .. I'm still waiting to hear from them... I'm so uncountable and am hardly sleeping, so far just me and my partner know plus my best friend

HannahD1991 · 06/05/2017 10:41

@tinywithtoes Ahhh try to keep busy to keep your mind off it, that's easy to say, I'm the same. When I sleep I have crazy dreams and wake myself up. I was lucky to get a Drs appointment so quick - I booked it last Tuesday and got one for this coming Tuesday. Can you call your Drs back see how long they expect you'll be waiting? How have your symptoms been? I'm feeling a big nauseous today and boobs are killing xx

tinywithtoes · 06/05/2017 11:14

@HannahD1991 they have said to wait till the midwife calls ... my boobs where on fire last night just tingling today had cramps today but not so bad as yesterday the sickness comes in waves

Bubbasmama2017 · 06/05/2017 12:48

Getting my hair done at 12 weeks can't find anything that says highlights are a nono any ideas?

HannahD1991 · 06/05/2017 12:59

@Bubbasmama2017 just found this www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/949.aspx?CategoryID=54 - from what I can gather after 12 weeks it is ok. I know my hairdresser has said she doesn't like dying hair when her clients are pregnant. Confused myself now, need my colour doing myself soon! Xx

HannahD1991 · 06/05/2017 13:01

@tinywithtoes all the same symptoms as me! Try to relax, they will contact you soon enough :) my friend has given me a contact number for the hospital to book a scan myself as she said that the Dr will only tell me to do the same. Surely it's best to wait though any ideas? Xx

MrsB12345 · 06/05/2017 15:38

Dopplers. What one has everyone gone for? I want to buy one but would love some recommendations before I buy one. I'm a plus size mummy to be with a jelly belly so something they can hear through extra blubber would be great x

TheLionQueen1 · 06/05/2017 17:03

MrsB, we bought an Angel Sounds one, it's absolutely fab! However the accompanying app didn't work on my iPhone but did on my DH's android phone x

Babyblues14 · 06/05/2017 17:23

Currently in work, 20 weeks, really bad hip pain, is there anything I can do for it, I have to walk around a lot in my job
