Hi Ladies! I'm new to this site and have really no idea what I'm doing to be honest so I'm hoping I'm posting in the right place. This week I have had 4 BFPs from a range of different tests. They are getting much darker too which i'm assuming is a good thing but my AF is due tomorrow and I'm having pre AF like cramps, to the point im convinced it's coming any second. I'm a nervous wreck and this is my first time round so i have no clue about anything! Any advice would be so useful !

TheLionQueen1 · 04/05/2017 09:48

Elsie I felt exactly the same don't worry as I found out before AF due! You are feeling implantation most probably, and if you have a look online you'll often feel like period is due even in the first few months. It's incredibly unusual to get a false positive so particularly 4 of them! I'd say you are well and truly pregnant and to just try and relax as much as you can!! Congratulations!

Ps I still wait for my period to come and check every time I go to the loo and I'm now 17 weeks so not sure that feeling will ever stop!

ElsieBelle92 · 04/05/2017 09:54

Thanks Lion Queen I know I'm just panicking these cramps are pretty convincing though! I'm going to go to the doctor tonight and try to get an appointment. You've made me feel so much better, me and my partner have agreed not to tell anyone until we know everything is okay, but all I want to do is pick up the phone and ring my mum so she can tell me its all okay Hmm

TheLionQueen1 · 04/05/2017 10:06

I called my mum and sister as soon as we found out, but I know a lot of the other ladies on here didn't so depends what you're comfortable with! My logic was that if anything had gone wrong I'd have liked my mum's support so told her!

Do you normally suffer from period pains as well? I would just be kind to yourself and take it easy!

ElsieBelle92 · 04/05/2017 10:18

Yeh usually my period pains are really really bad to the point that I throw up or rarely, but sometimes pass out. This pain is very like the cramps i get before, but i did have implantation bleeding about four days ago which at first i thought was me coming on but turns out the opposite!

I think your right I might call my mum later, I don't live at home anymore and all my friends and family are over an hour away, I have friends here but none of them have children so I don't feel like they could help me with these hundreds of questions i have in my head Grin to be honest this site is a godsend!

owltrousers · 04/05/2017 10:19

hello all!

your bumps are marvellous.

I'm only 4 weeks but already I can't stand to wear waist belts or tight trousers like I normally do! SO bloated.

Expecting2017 · 04/05/2017 10:36

So from last period I'd be 13 weeks! Just had scan and I'm 10 weeks +1 xx

lydiangel83 · 04/05/2017 10:48

@Expecting2017 congrats! I really don't understand how but I went from thinking I was 9+6 to 13+2 after scan!! So strange how these things work!

Hi, my midwife said I need growth scans. Apparently the midwife I saw on my booking in worked out my bmi wrong. Is there anything to worry about?? I'm 20weeks

MrsP1610 · 04/05/2017 20:03

Hi, I'm new to the site and feeling a bit nervous. This is my first and I'm 40 so probably my only! I'm a bit confused so hoping someone might be able to help. I have no idea what the first day of my last period was, but according to the many bfp's I've done I reckon I'm about 6 weeks. My first midwife appointment isn't for another 2 weeks. How accurate are the clear blue tests with regards to the timing?

MummyM33 · 04/05/2017 20:09

Hi Mrs P, congrats!! they can vary from what I've read on google but mine were pretty accurate. The first one I took said 1-2 weeks, I know the exact date of my last period as had been tracking so this made me 3-4. Then I took one the other day that said 2-3 weeks and I was 4-5. The instructions say it's higher in weeks as the test dates from conception where as your pregnancy starts from last period so that throws some people.
I'm loving looking through all these scan pictures girls!! Keep them coming, they are wonderful!! Congratulations all x

Babyblues14 · 04/05/2017 23:08

MrsNemAz · 05/05/2017 10:33

I had my 12weeks scan yesterday Smile! The baby was moving around and all looks fine! Now I just need to wait to hear from the Down Syndrome test. I really hope there won't be a problem with that!

I still have not put on any weight and wondering if that's normal?

tinywithtoes · 05/05/2017 10:57

Suggestions for books to read ?

Bubbasmama2017 · 05/05/2017 17:42

Spoke to work today and I do only get SMP which is disappointing so we're going to work out how much we could afford if I was off work for a year. Really want to be able to enjoy baby's first year and not have to rush back to work after 6 months :-(
