I know I was furious nipped into the toilet and tried everything to get it to move but its stubborn. I can already tell who it takes after. I'd planned a big clothes shopping trip and ending up only being able to buy a Grey changing mat Angry

tinywithtoes · 03/05/2017 14:45

Joining here took my test today :-)

Congratulations tiny! Smile Gosh taking that test seems so long ago now, yet the first scan is still 6 weeks away! Good luck with it all x

ew1990 · 03/05/2017 15:31

I'm too excited for my scan tomorrow, I should be 13 weeks exactly but I'll see what they put me at xx

TheLionQueen1 · 03/05/2017 17:04

Congrats Tiny!! Time will fly by now, we announced a month ago already, I just can't believe how quickly it goes!!

Do people have a feeling about what they are having?! And obviously we'll be happy as long as it's just healthy, but any sneaky preferences anyway?!!

I think I'm having a boy by DH thinks girl, he refuses to believe we may have a boy as he so wants a girl 😂

ew1990 · 03/05/2017 17:13

I did have a feeling it was a girl, everyone else thinks boy, I'm really not fussed and I mean that xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 03/05/2017 17:25

I'm not really either, only DH! On saying that I have no experience with boys and the thought of changing a nappy where if they decide to wee then it's going up in your face not down does make me worried 😂

MSH2010 · 03/05/2017 17:51

I'm really hoping for one of each as I'm having twins. But I've got a feeling it's two boys.
I'll be happy with whatever we have. But there's a part of me that's worried my MIL will drag up what hers would have done at every opportunity (history there and we don't get on)

TheLionQueen1 · 03/05/2017 18:06

Same with mine MSH, fortunately since she was a pain about our wedding and never apologised, I don't have to speak to her! DH still sees her but I've got no contact luckily!

ew1990 · 03/05/2017 18:08

I really do feel for you ladies who's MIL are cows 😂😂 xx

ew1990 · 03/05/2017 18:09

@TheLionQueen1 I've got younger siblings and I've had that, and the being sick in your face and it goes in your mouth 😂

TheLionQueen1 · 03/05/2017 18:27

Ew, delightful, all the fun things for us to look forward to 😂

I genuinely didn't realise until yesterday quite how much a newborn poops!! I was talking to a friend about nappies and when she said to allow 15ish a day I literally felt like crying!!

Tinyti83 · 03/05/2017 19:18

@ew1990 I meant to add to my earlier note that 90% of your AWE will be for the first 6 weeks only and then you will get the standard SMP of 140.98 per week. Sorry for the confusion.... I think baby brain is kicking in already ha ha x

ew1990 · 03/05/2017 20:00

Don't worry I already understood that 😊 gunna get some overtime in now and start putting it in a savings account, I'm with simply health insurance and I get £250 if you have a child and they pay you for every night you spend in hospital xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 03/05/2017 21:15

Thanks @tinyti83 I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight worrying about it! Once I have confirmation everything is ok on the scan I'll speak to my work about the mat leave options

Expecting2017 · 04/05/2017 06:48

First scan today and I've been up since 5. So nervous x

Tinyti83 · 04/05/2017 06:55

@Expecting2017 @Bubbasmama2017
Good luck with your scans today xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 04/05/2017 07:11

Thank you im so nervous. Good luck @expecting2017

Expecting2017 · 04/05/2017 07:19

Thanks bubbas and you! I'm so nervous too I dreamt I missed the appointment and I've been awake ever since lol x

ew1990 · 04/05/2017 07:29

@Expecting2017 @Bubbasmama2017 good luck, it's my scan today too, an hour and 20 minutes 😬 I've suddenly gone dead nervous x

MSH2010 · 04/05/2017 08:19

Good luck and enjoy all those having scans today.

I'm feeling pretty down today and don't know whether to call my mw or just try and shake the feeling off. I will explain

I'm 17+5 with twins, I had glucose tolerance tests yesterday and I can get my results today, but whilst in the waiting room yesterday some poor love obviously got some very sad news and the screams and tears where heartbreaking, it shook the whole room, two ladies couldn't hold back their tears, the rest of us just sat in silence. It's a sound I'll take some time to forget, anyway I think it's made me panic and over think. Now I've not had regular movements yet but I'm worried I haven't had any flickers for a few days. My bumps definitely starting to grow, although still in my normally clothes. I heard the heartbeats on 25/4 My next scan is on 19/5
Being my first and knowing the risks behind twins, please can someone give me a kick up the arse to stop worrying as I feel that's what I'm doing.
Typing this has helped clear my head a little so sorry for sharing it but thank you at the same time. It's difficult as my OH was there yesterday too but I don't think he understands so don't want to bother him

ew1990 · 04/05/2017 08:25

@MSH2010 don't say sorry, I don't think you feel regular movements till you get a bit further on, but give your mw a call, just say your after reassurance, I can't imagine what yesterday was like, sounds heartbreaking xxx

MSH2010 · 04/05/2017 08:36

Thanks Ew1990
I think it hit me because my pregnancy wasn't planned and before knowing it was twins I had thought about other options. Made me realise how lucky I am really xx

ew1990 · 04/05/2017 09:09

It's understandable, 😘😘

Just had my scan, everything's good 😊 just waiting to see someone else about due date and that now xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 04/05/2017 09:12

MSH hope you're ok? I can't imagine what the anxiety must be like with two of them in there, I'm bad enough with one!!

Good luck with scans today ladies, I've just been naughty and changed my private scan from next Saturday to today so by 5pm I'll know what baby's sex is, I'm so impatient!!
