@Brens13

Well we are meant to be hosting Christmas for the family this year!... I think that will have to change all being well of course (i keep saying that to myself) we are not telling anyone as yet until we know all is ok. It's so hard keeping a secret but also nice for now that we have it as a secret between us at home - and on here of course but that's different. Can't wait to see everyone's reaction. Havre you shared with your family yet or plan to? Yeah I think mine would have been the same but I had some pre pregnancy issues with my periods, nothing serious but my doctor is just being very cautious and covering all basis, being only 6 weeks tomorrow I'm not expecting to see much if anything at all but we shall see and if not it's just a waiting game, can't help but feel anxious though, every twinge or slight feeling in my lower tummy I'm thinking is that ok/normal etc? I swear your mind also plays tricks on you too.🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Tinyti83 · 27/04/2017 20:29

@THirdEeye how did it go today for you?x

MrsB12345 · 27/04/2017 21:45

Thanks ladies. This is the back of the head and back with arms either side of body. Wish we'd been able to get a better pic.

Good luck @mrsjkerry. Can't wait to see a great pic x

Moo31 · 27/04/2017 22:15

Here's mine from yesterday! So surreal / magical / unbelievable! The miracle of life is happening inside of us! Crazy!

Baby chilling with hand above his head! He/ she did a back arch and then like a Mexican wave type jiggle it was so funny!

Moo31 · 27/04/2017 22:18

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies and good luck to those having scans in the next few days! Make sure your bladder isn't too full - they were an hour late taking us in, I was ready to wet myself from holding it in and then she said my bladder was too full and I had to go and empty it!!!

Squigglefish · 27/04/2017 22:19

Aww congrats @Moo31 x

MrsB12345 · 28/04/2017 07:12

@Moo31 great photo. Your baby was much happier to do what the sonography needed. We spent 45 mins in ours in the end trying different positions but luckily she said I could have a wee after the first time trying to get a pic didn't work. Love seeing all these little beings frowning inside us. It's crazy. My anxiety is a lot less now and chances of a MC are so much lower now we've seen a heartbeat and passed the 12 wk mark.

Good luck to everyone else having scans in the next few days and weeks. Looking forward to seeing more pics as we go along x

Sakura03 · 28/04/2017 07:41

Lovely pics MrsB and Moo. Do you still get the occasional twinges?

Brens13 · 28/04/2017 07:44

@Moo31 Congratulations that's a great picture. Must be such a good feeling. And @MrsB12345 I'm pleased you're able to relax a bit more now and hopefully enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Brens13 · 28/04/2017 07:52

@Tinyti83

Haha yes I think someone might need to look after you this year. We hosted last year thankfully so can just relax at my parents. I'm already a bit worried about the in-laws as they live a couple of hours away and my MIL will definitely want to be there ASAP after the baby is born but I don't think I'll want anyone staying with us, or even visiting for any great length of time that soon!
We have told our parents, my sister and a couple of my friends as I have a big party in a couple of weeks and won't be able to drink, and people would find that very unusual for me(!) so they're going to help me pretend to drink. And one of my friends who's a midwife so I can annoy her with all my questions lol. No one else though and it's so hard, I can't imagine no one knowing, you're doing very well!
You'll have to let us know how the scan goes, I'm sure it will all be fine. But you're right, my body is feeling every little thing at the mo, and always thinking the worst!

lydiangel83 · 28/04/2017 10:26

So girls I had an EPU scan thinking I was 9+6 and had been getting abdominal pain. Turns out I am 13+2! Very surprised but also relieved - and glad I trusted my instincts to ask for a scan before our 2 wk holiday. My scheduled 12 wk scan would have been too late to do screening tests otherwise

MrsB12345 · 28/04/2017 10:37

@Sakura03 yeap still got lots of twinges and stretching as well as back ache

@lydiangel83 glad you got a scan in early and how amazing to have jumped forward 4 weeks.xx

THirdEeye · 28/04/2017 10:57

Plesased to hear everyone's scans have gone well! Wow sukura, I'm a great believer in going with your gut and your hunch paid off.

sqiggle My scan went well, the NT was low and placenter in the right place etc. I've been lucky that this is my third scan I've already told DH that I'll be booking more.

We now have to wait another week, for the results of the blood tests to come back. Hoping that these come back ok, so that we can relax a little.

mrsjkerry · 28/04/2017 11:32

Pleased to report that baby is alive and well !
