I'm officially tired, fat and ready to pop. Anyone else want to check in together for the final count down? Shock

Maybe you should trampoline too! My mum aparently was fed up waiting for me she went for a 'gentle' swim and decided to try going down a water slide! I arrived later that day.

whogivesaratzass · 20/04/2017 15:12

Rubbish news coloured but fingers crossed the mw was wrong and the wee one is engaged, let us know how you get one.

Well the hairdressers didn't spur on baby so I (stupidly) have agreed to go away for the weekend Confused. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon and home Sunday night. It's only about an hour and half from the hosp so I figure it should be ok and we will leave straight away if I have any twinges or anything, this fate tempting thing is going to bite me in the ass soon!

Think I might try and dtd later, really cant be bothered and I'm so uncomfortable but the hormones are meant to get things moving. Just hope DH isn't too freaked out, he hates it just now, says it's weird. Suited me fine till now but at this stage I'm willing to give it a go

peanutbutter310 · 20/04/2017 15:14

Sorry to hear that coloured, hope that the little one gets back down there for you!

TopKittyKat · 20/04/2017 15:29

Oh no! That sucks coloured. I'm sure baby will re-engage soon.

crumble - if I was you I would definitely have a little 'bounce' on the trampoline Grin

Love all your appointments and weekends away that your planning to try to tempt fate. I think it's good to have nice things to keep you busy (trust me, at 41+4 it gets a bit tedious otherwise!). I went on a day out that was 2 hours drive away at 39+1 and I did the driving. Everyone kept saying I was crazy but I had a really lovely day.

I've spent today doing my last few bits of cleaning and washing so that everything is all clean and tidy ready for baby girls arrival this weekend. I really didn't want an induction but at least I will get to see my baby soon.

IAmALionTamer · 20/04/2017 16:15

Am off to see the GP shortly, I have this afternoon come down with the symptoms of a UTI. I tend to get them a lot so I'm pretty such that's what it is. Called the doctors and they have made me an urgent appointment.
My surgery is so lovely, I wouldn't be surprised if they give me a once over whilst there. Hopefully I'll get to listen to baby's heartbeat too.
ratzass your weekend away sounds lovely. Am very jealous! Will not manage to get away but PIL will watch DS for us one morning this weekend so that DH and I can go to our favourite breakfast place just the two of us

Coloured · 20/04/2017 16:51

Hello guys! Just come back from the hospital and was told several different things by different midwives — baby wasn't engaged, baby was deeply engaged and the baby was breech! Found out he is back to back tooHmm anyway, went for a presentation scan and he is in fact engaged after all! Thank the lord. It's been a busy day, i feel like a glass of wineWine

TopKittyKat · 20/04/2017 17:24

That's great news coloured - although not ideal about being back to back. I think they can turn if you spend time on all fours? Or maybe lean over a birthing/gym ball while watching TV?

TopKittyKat · 20/04/2017 17:26

Lion - sorry you think you have a UTI. I hope the GP sorts you out and you get to listen to your baby's heartbeat. Smile

Dandelionrarrrr · 20/04/2017 17:31

ColouredGood news!! Is baby back to back or was that dismissed too? I was told my baby was breech too at 37 weeks, had to have another scan, thankfully he was head down let's hope he is still that way.

whogivesaratzass · 20/04/2017 18:15

Great new coloured hopefully won't be long now!! I'm B2B as well Shock let's hope these little trouble makers turn soon.

Period like cramps, no pattern to them but defo low down period like cramps!

Bump isn't tightening like with the BH's ..... any chance this could be a sign? Or is it just standard things that happen around now?

Dandelionrarrrr · 20/04/2017 18:30

I've been having the same whogivz. Surely it has got to be linked, cervix effacing or 'ripening' - horrible phrase. Funnily I don't remember labour pains apart from feeling incredibly constipated but period pains ring a bell too. Funny what you forget. I hope they increase for you.

Coloured · 20/04/2017 18:52

Yeah baby is back to back still, at least he isn't breech though! I'm getting some period pains too now, I think it's because I've had that many people pressing my belly trying to find out his position today😂 mine are coming in intervals, quite regular with backache and tightenings too so hopefully a good sign?!

Hope one of our babies makes an appearance overnight!

GastonsWife · 20/04/2017 18:59

I have a feeling we will have lots of new babies on the thread tomorrow.

whogivesaratzass · 20/04/2017 19:28

Oooh fingers crossed for you dandelion and coloured!!!! Have a feeling my body is playing tricks on me and I'll still be hanging on 2 weeks from now utterly ticked off with green peace following me around trying to drag me back into the water! Confused

IAmALionTamer · 20/04/2017 19:34

I think you could be right gaston. Fingers crossed for everyone.
kitty is your induction tomorrow? If so sending plenty of positive vibes....how exciting to know that you'll be having newborn snuggles in no time at all
Both mine and DH's families are dispersed quite far round the globe, my MIL has said that she has spoken to all her relatives in the hope of providing me with a world wide network of positive energy for this labour. It's a lovely if slightly bat shit ideaWink

DirtyDancing · 20/04/2017 20:38

Come one dandelion and coloured.
*
Coloured* sounds like you've had a day of massive highs and lows. Glad baby is engaged and I really hope things move for you tonight.

I went into labour with my first at exactly midnight so I believe in things happening at night time too. Think I'm too busy to go into labour in the day!

Lion I'm up for anything right now.. positive vibes.. voodoo you name it!

Midwife today went through my induction options 😖 So next thurs sweep at 41, then pessary at 41+3 to 5, then second pessary and then induction apparently... not the conversation I was hoping for! Baby is 3/5 engaged tho so that's something.

Right happy labouring tonight everyone... we can do this!!!

TopKittyKat · 20/04/2017 21:11

Lion - yes, induction day for me tomorrow.

I've just rechecked my hospital bags, as I packed them over a month ago and couldn't remember what was in there!

It's an early one - I have to be at the hospital for 7.30am. I'm just trying to chill a bit now as I'm a bit nervous, and will then get an early night.

I hope to wake up to news of babies arriving tomorrow. No pressure dandelion and coloured

DirtyDancing · 20/04/2017 21:14

Good luck kitty hope to hear good news tomorrow

Dandelionrarrrr · 21/04/2017 06:49

Good luck kitty. Nothing here.. surprise surprise! I have midwife appointment today at 9.40 so will probably get the sweep. I am getting anxious about delivering on Sunday because it's marathon day and I am giving birth in st thomas' so roads will be closed. Hopefully baby will come tonight.
